Cool way to kick things off, BD. Mark Millar may be annoying as fuck but he does write the odd good thing.

My first contribution to Story Time comes from the most reason volume of Azrael. Michael Lane doesn't get as much love as Jean-Paul Valley, which sucks. What I like about this comic is how the theme of atonement runs through it, characters haunted by past sins - including our hero, as seen here in issue #3.

Something of a Batman theme developing in Story Time, but I'll try to post something different next. Had to share this story from Batman Chronicles, though. It comes in the middle of the "No Man's Land" arc, which saw Gotham reduced to rubble by an earthquake. Here we find Bruce Wayne's faithful butler Alfred reminding us why he used to be in a little thing called the SAS.

Alfred Pennyworth - he'll butle the shit out of you.

You know, this story has a lot of horrifying things in it, but it's that last page that always affects me the most.
