Alright, not sure what to make of things so far. Sam's story is pretty boring. Sookie is starting to annoy me. At least the orgy of ugly people is done. Anybody watching this season?

Im still waiting to buy season 2 which will be on thursday. Fucking hospital sent me back 300 dollars...
Yeah am watching it, but I got a feeling season 3 might fall a little flat to be honest. Though the new english vampire is quite interesting as well of the addition of the werewolves. I have Sooki.
have or hate Ian?
I do like the feeling that we are building up to a Mississippi/Louisiana Vampire/Werewolf war. I do hope Sookie finds Bill soon, and like Ian love the actor they chose for the king vampire, and his gay man servant cracks me up.
Right now it's just "eh". Don Swayze was in it which bumps the cool factor up, but other than that, I'm just "EH" on the show as of now.

Hate lol. I find her a right annoying character if I am honest. Have from day one.
You think it's the actress or the character? I'd like to think it was a nice combination of both.
give her a chance ... i am not defending her because I have a little crush on her since Almost Famous ;)
she needs to find bill soon
If it follows book 3 in some semi-fashion, well, ya'll in for a treat.
Except for this most recent episode I've loved the season so far.
The reason Sookie doesn't bother me is because I'm so fucking intrigued as to what she is. She can clearly do more than read minds, but she has no idea how to do any of it. I feel like this season may start to answer that question.
And I agree that there will be a big vampire/werewolf war that will occur at the end of the season, which, despite the fact that vampires kick the piss out of werewolves should be pretty good.
I'm also interested to learn more about True Blood's take on werewolf lore. Do you just have to be bitten by one to become a werewolf? What if a vampire gets bitten? How come Sookie can read werewolves minds, I thought she couldn't read the minds of supernaturals?
Lot's of questions for the season that I'm pumped to find out about... which means I can ignore Sam and Tara, and only worry about how hot Jessica is.
And for the love of God, please don't tell me what's in the books.
She can read Sam's mind. Also, why doesn't Jason have powers like her? And my roommate (who tells me he read all the books a long time ago) tells me that LaFayette died in the first book. So, we aren't side by side with the books and the show.
You know the sseason is crap when Sookie is 3 episodes in and has not been naked yet...
Sookie does not bother me so much as I believe she has been annoying since the first season but that is the way she is...
Tara is by far the most annoying for me as everytime she is on screen she is crying and all that bullshit and it just annoys me...
Jason is like a dumb red neck and I love how stupid he is and it is always nice to see the women he bangs naked...
I think the main reason they didnt kill Lafayette is because he is a popular character IMO...
But personally out of all of them I love seeing Jessica on screen as for some reason I think she is the hottest out of all of them...
Anyways thus far this season has been so-so and personally the last episode really was stupid as I saw no reason for Bill to twist that ladies neck around and bang her like that it seemed really fucking stupid...
Sometimes you gotta twist a lady's neck around! Sheesh! >:(
Season three... meh. Anna Paquin naked? Sure. Get to it then. Jessica is THE hotness. Liking the new mystery vamp; the one that fucked Tara till her eyes rolled into her head. Loved that the police chief up and quit at the onset of an investigation. Other than that...major blah. And the undertaker-like Tara sex scene was crap. And the face-twisting wide shot, head-upside down, tits right-side up thing was not only shit, it was lingeringly disturbing. Like pictures of the torso killer murders. Don't see the point of it. I'm this close to over the whole thing. Gimme a ring when Deborah Ann Woll takes her clothes off.
My take on the neck twisting sex, was that Bill wanted to show how much he hated her, and he was willing to kill her if he could (im guessing there is a rule about killing one's maker) and even after he did that, she still said she loved bill, proving that no matter how much pain he causes her she will love him for eternity and he hates that.
I hated the first season and half the second. Marianne made it so so..at least tolerable. This season is more of the last. The Werewolf factor is alright. It might get a little interesting later on. I hate Sookie too. A little scared of Tara. Her arms are huge, lol.
Not a bad episode this week. Making Tara a vampire (if it happens) could be the only thing that would make her interesting. And Sookie's lightwave thing was cool. Still remember when she did that with Maryanne.
Damn the episode ending last night was EPIC, with the newscast so wanna see where they go from here.

"Now to the weather, Tiffany"
Best finish xD
yeah that me seriously LMAO, that actor is awesome I hope they dont kill him off as he has been the best part of the season.
I really need to watch the series from the beginning, I've watched just a few episodes from time to time.

AND HE HAS MY NAME!!!!!
*cough*... anyway...
That news broadcast made the whole show. That and naked Sookie.
Pretty good episode, I think. That Franklin guy needed to die and glad Jason is the one to do it.
I had thought Franklin was already dead.
There must be something between Jason and Tara that has to happen because bringing Franklin back for 3 minutes wouldn't make sense otherwise.
That news story was amazing, although, when Russell started saying "We will eat you, and we will eat your children" it made him seem like more of a cannibal than a vampire. Vampires don't eat people, they consume their blood and drain their bodies...that would have sounded far more badass than "We will eat you" I laughed to myself when he said that, it was a little silly.
Great episode though.
Don't laugh at him or I will eat your children! >:( ;D

Tara and Jason get together, Tara finds out Jason killed Eggs, dilemma of whether to stay with Jason or not, simples :D
Oh and the eating children line was fucking hilarious.
Guys haven't been paying attention. First season Tara and Jason had a "thing" offscreen.
Plus Tara always had a crush on Jason that was established in the first episode.
I figured Franklin wouldn't be gone. Can't kill a vampire by bashing their head in.
I just want one fucking episode where Tara is not fucking crying as it is annoying as all hell...
Yeah the Russell news cast made the show and ofcourse them showing me some JESSICA was great...
Another great damn episode.
I feel like True Blood hasn't been talked about in a few weeks.
I will admit, I completely agreed with Sookie when she found out she was a faerie ... "how fucking lame".
I mean, I'm sure it will end up being interesting and intriguing. But for all the build up and suspense about what she was for the entire three seasons, it was a bit of a let down. Not sure what it could've been that would've made it better, just saying, I expected a little more.
Also, were-panthers! That's kind of fucking cool. Plus, she's a smoking hot were-panther.
So many things have happened, I can't even get them all off my chest in this one post.
That were-panther chick is ugly. Thought the episode was pretty good though.

Agreed.
Also win at Eric/Russell bit, I'm hopinh Russell being older will burn quicker and Eric can get back inside.
Maybe I only think she's hot because of the black eye and that's how a woman should look.
Wow, that was wrong. I'm sorry, I could delete it, but rather I'm going to ramble about how it probably wasn't the right thing to type.
I like Eric too, but, I think if anything, Russell will burn slower since he's more powerful. So, we'll see what happens. And a two week wait? Gay.

Nah, the whole point of the Godric storyline was to show older vampires are less human and thus affected by sunlight more.
^this is true
I am really NOT enjoying this season...and I have no idea why. I think now we have way too many powers and shit flying around that nobody knows about. Whats next? The Tooth Fairy makes an apperance?
Also Stackhouse seems to have settled for some right ugly bitch coupled with Lafeyette bumming that nurse every five minutes I am left wondering when I am going to see some hot chicks getting naked!
Losing interest in the show this end.
I agree there are too many powers flying around, for somewhere that in season 1 had JUST found out vampires were real, every other person there isn't human.
I'd also put money on it that Sookie's not a fairy, that was just made up as a part of the plan to kill Russell.
In the books, she is.
Ah right... well then that is lame...
Times like this you would wonder why the guy who runs the tweeks on this site...wouldnt actually use the spoiler tags.
Not really much of a spoiler. Only confirming what has already been said as being accurate.
they should've kept the "Tara isnt a prominent character in the books" thing accurate.
Tara was great in season 1, pity it went downhill, quickly.
I think the only thing that would make her interesting is for her to become a vampire.
Or for Lafayette to force-feed her anti-depressants.
I wasn't thrilled with the finale.
I mean, great in comparison to other shows, but in comparison to itself, it wasn't spectacular.
Few points,
I wish Tara had killed herself instead of cut her hair...and/or hope she's gone forever now.
I hope Sam killed his brother, maybe that sounds mean, but his brother was a little girly girl and it would be awesome if Sam just became a huge badass.
Uh, if Eric got out, my assumption will be that Russell will eventually get out. Granted Pam helped Eric escape, it still seems like it's possible for Russell to get out alive.
More light needs to be shed on the whole Bill/The Queen storyline, I get that she was the one who told Bill to get close to her and that there have been allusions to it all season, but, I still didn't give a shit.
Also, witches? Is this now going to become Harry Potter and the Legend of True Blood? I was ok with the were-panther, I was "ok" with the faerie. But now witches? C'mon mutha fucka. How about Lafayette just kicks Jesus in the face that leave it at that.
I'm sure there is plenty more that I could comment on, but that's all I can think of now, it's 7am, mind ain't quite right yet.
SPOILER TAG IT PLEASE MARK AND ANYONE ELSE POSTING
Anyway... anyone found a download link yet? Piratebay's got nothing.
Oops, sorry Russ. Figured we knew this was a spoiler-esque thread. I've modified it.
Oh I know and I didn't see anything, but I know there's a few people that download it instead of watching on TV and as there's no download (or at least that I can find) I figured it'd be safest to spoiler tag stuff for now.
EDIT: Found a stream if anyone's looking - http://www.zshare.net/video/80346048c73acb4c/
Book 4 spoilers:
Book 4 is all about a coven of witches trying to take over the vampires, so I'm figure that's how they're leading into that.

Right just finished watching, not bad to be honest. Up until that last scene it was pretty good, but damn did that last scene ruin it. Russell won't be getting out because he's wrapped in silver Mark; wrapped in something that severely weakens you + encased in concrete - someone to dig you out = trapped. Plus I've got to say that was an awesome way to get rid of Russell but still have it lingering that he could come back. Loved Bill's random heel/face/tweener turn through it; if he kills the Queen does that make him King of Louisiana? Tara should have either done herself in or been made into a vampire in order to embrace the supernatural rather than run/fight it all the time. And damn woman stop crying! Sam/Tommy storyline was good, I hope Tommy's dead - "I can't read". Best final line ever? Witches kind of make sense so long as the 'magic' isn't completely unrealistic - concontions and potions and shit would make sense, wands etc. doesn't. As far as the ending goes, eurgh. Sookie as a faeriefaerandomlightpersonthing is so dull and such a let down; like, vampires are believable because their special powers are enhanced versions of what humans can do (+flying. Speaking of which, how Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was the Bill/Queen fight scene?), werewolves/panthers and shapeshifters work because it just does, we can kinda accept people changing into animals. Faeries that appear out of nowhere, shoot light from their hands, read thoughts and disappear into cloud cuckoo land is just... rubbish. Add to that last season's Maenad and it just looks like Charlaine Harris/Script writers trawled MythicalBeingsApedia and just found ones they liked. Still, hopefully Tommy's gone and Sam's now a badass, Tara becomes something decent and gets with Sam to be the uber couple, Sookie realises she dreamed all the faerie shit and is just a mindreader after all, the Fellowship of the Sun make some sort of cameo return (:D) and the witches are good. Also... wtf why is Jason now Mother Teresa to a village of inbreds?
Yeah I figured that Russell would have to have someone dig him out, while obviously Talbot isn't around, I'm sure that's not the only vampire Russell ever created.
It'll be interesting to see what happens.
Also, with Jason, yeah, what the hell is that all about. Is he going to become the leader of the were-panther pack? It's ridiculous really. But, I normally enjoy the storylines following Jason, so we'll just have to see what happens.
Unless it's just their way of showing him 'growing up' as it were: season one he's an arrogant jock who loses the one person he's properly loved, grows up a bit through season two but still makes some mistakes with the fellowship of the sun and eventually realises how stupid he was, and now in season 3 he's saving crystal and tara's lives in rescuing crystal and saving tara, and now he's maturing and becoming a leader, potentially to lead to Jason w/ Inbreds and Crystal vs. Crystal's WerepantherBrotherHusband (wow, I need to stop watching wrestling).

Also with Tara leaving Bon Temps; is she gone for good or are we going to get following her a bit like when Sam 'left' and found his family?
Are they for sure doing season 4? A lot of the storylines concluded sufficiently on their own though not all.
What concluded lol? Tara left, Sookie was taken to magical fairy world, Bill is ready to duke it out with the Queen, Jason is now charge of hot shots, Lafayette just learned Jesus is a witch/nurse/guy/gay, and Sam just shot his brother. Nothing was concluded apart from the Russel storyline.
And the Russell storyline could well continue; he's not gone for good.
it be awesome if they brought him back at the end of a season 4 or 5 as a surprise twist
Quick, put a spoiler tag before Russ gets you!!!
Also, yes Jesse, at the end of the episode, Alan Ball the creator said they were already working on Season 4. My assumption would be that they're going to do a season for each book or up until they get canceled. Which doesn't seem likely anytime soon.
The last episode fucking sucked balls. I am getting tired of this show fast and I can see it going the way of Heroes soon...great start, awful middle, fucked up ending then cancelled.
Yeah but the ratings for the final episode where the highest ever for the show, some of us may be critical of it, but the general public loves it..the show is staying for a while.
Plus it was also critically acclaimed as a finale.
I learned at a young age that my thoughts on a TV show don't mean dick.
In all honesty I fucking hated it and I am fast losing interest in this show. I am just waiting for Jason to reveal he could have secretly morphed into a gopher all this time
I'll admit...there is a lot more supernatural situations than I expected.
But I wouldn't be surprised if Jason ended up becoming a were-panther...if you can become a were-panther by being bitten.
He actually does in the books..dont know if that was just a real wild guess from you or a sly way of spoiling it
I don't know how they messed it up to be honest. I get told I'm a fairy every day on here and it still gets a reaction. Silly True Blood writers!
lmao.
