After a successful kickstarter Big Finish Games, headed by former Access software employees including Tex Murphy creators Chris Johns(Tex himself) and Aaron Conners is close to finishing up the 6th installment in the Tex Murphy line of adventure games. Like the previous 3 titles the game makes use of live action FMV and explorable first person environments this time full 3d ones made via the Unity3d engine and will see the return of the branching story paths from Pandora Directive which was the best of the FMV Tex Murphy titles if not the best entry in the series.

If you have no clue what the Tex Murphy series is, it's a series of neo-noir detective style point and clicks which began with the games Mean Streets and Martian Memorandum and later went the Full motion FMV route with Under a Killing Moon and along with the two follow ups Pandora Directive and Overseer(a retelling of Mean Streets) are considered some of the few good FMV based games along with Gabriel Knight 2: Shadows of the beast and Wing Commander's 3 and 4(staring Mark Hamill, Malcolm McDowell, John Rhys-davies and Tom Wilson aka Biff from back to the future 1 and 2)

Anyway enough me talking here's the trailer:

the game will drop early next year on Steam and GOG.

edit: I forgot to add the game was picked up by Atlus who helped add additional funds to the game's development post kickstarter and will be publishing the title, got to love Atlus.
