If they do have that clause, bravo for them. It seems like some of these guys have to sell their souls to work for the E.... but I guess if you're in the business it is the place pretty much everyone wants to work so they do what it takes to sign on the dotted line.

Er.... I think you mis-read.

I mean WWE has a clause that allows the wrestler to still own the name, but WWE to own the name as related to wrestling merchandising during the contract

No, I didn't misread. If someone owns the rights to their name they shouldn't have to give them up. It is selling themselves to work in the WWE if they have to give up the rights while working for the company, but I get it if the alternative is the money TNA or ROH can offer.
