Drop it on the ground in fright, smashing the pumpkin so that there would be a head rolling (I'm assuming I'm on a hill) covered in pumpkin seeds and then I would either get in my car and call the police and say "I think I saw a human head rolling down the street". Or I wouldn't call the police and I would tell everyone I knew, knowing that none of them would believe me.
