Scoring Details:

APPEARANCES
A Superstar will be awarded appearance points for each segment he/she appears on during the watched event. A segment is defined as the time period that begins when the show comes back from commercial (or starts) and continues until the time the show goes to commercial (or ends). Appearances or matches that are broken up by a commercial break will not count twice. Simply being on TV constitutes an "appearance," unless a Superstar is merely in the background in a non-creative role or is otherwise not part of any storyline. For example, if Vickie Guerrero is standing next to Dolph Ziggler during a backstage segment, both Guerrero and Ziggler will receive appearance points. Simply being in the background in a non-creative role does not constitute an appearance. I will make the final ruling on whether a Superstar receives appearance points. Only action not seen prior to will count towards appearance points. Repeat segment appearances will not count. This includes flashbacks to prior days or weeks, video of a previously aired event that happened on a prior day, pay-per-view promotions, commercials, match graphics, show openers, and still images.

MATCHES
Matches are scored only when a Superstar is ruled a competitor in a match/contest and the bell rings. Any other Superstar who appears during a match/contest will earn appearance points, interference points, etc., but will not earn match points. Appearances by managers, Divas and others ringside will be scored as appearances, not matches. In the event of a "no-decision" finish, the Superstars who participated in the match will earn match points, but neither will be credited with a win.

ELIMINATING AN OPPONENT
A Superstar is awarded 2 points for eliminating an opponent in a match with elimination rules. Elimination matches include (but are not limited to) Battle Royals, Royal Rumble, Classic Survivor Series Elimination Matches and Fatal Four Way Elimination Matches.

SIGNATURE MOVE (EXECUTED/LOCKED-IN)
A Superstar is awarded 2 points any time he/she executes/locks-in one of his/her signature moves. A signature move consists of a move they frequently use and/or is named. If you are curious regarding a superstar's signature moves, just ask.

SIGNATURE MOVE VICTORY
A Superstar is awarded 5 additional points when his/her signature move directly leads to victory in a match (i.e. pinfall or submission).

SIGNATURE MOVE ESCAPE
Each time a Superstar escapes a pinning predicament directly after being hit with his/her opponent's Signature Move, he/she is awarded 2 points. Each time a Superstar escapes a submission signature move, he/she is awarded 2 points. Simply blocking a signature move attempt (before it is executed/locked-in) does NOT constitute a Signature Move Escape. Signature Move Escape points can only be awarded within the context of a match.

FINAL MATCH (Main Event)
Each time a Superstar competes in the final match of an event, he/she is awarded an additional 5 points. Any other Superstar who appears during the final match will earn appearance points, but will not earn Final Match points.

FOREIGN OBJECT USE
A Superstar will be awarded foreign object points each time he/she is successful in using a foreign object to inflict clear physical harm. Foreign objects include (but are not limited to) chairs, chains, bricks, 2x4s, car parts, powder, salt and the announcers' table. Simply swinging a chair or throwing an object without connecting does not count as foreign object use. The object must cause clear physical harm. Objects that are considered part of the ring area, in most cases, will not earn foreign object points. If a Superstar uses their finishing move WITH ANY foreign object successfully, they will receive the finisher and foreign object points in combination. Also, throwing an opponent through a table, into a cage wall, into a ring barrier, etc will count as a foreign object.

DISQUALIFICATION/COUNT-OUT
An official disqualification/count-out from a match, regardless of the cause, will result in a deduction of 5 points.

SUSPENSION/FIRED/STRIPPED/QUIT
An official suspension/firing/title-stripping/quitting results in a deduction of 20 points. For an official suspension/firing/quitting to be awarded, a Superstar must be suspended from action, "quit" the organization or fired (for personal, medical, behavioral or any other reason) by an authorized official (i.e. Mr. McMahon or their brand's General Manager). A Superstar may still receive Fantasy points (appearance points, etc.) while officially on suspension or fired.

If you have any further questions regarding a rule or scoring, let me know. All rules and regulations are subject to change. If you don't think something is fair or judged right, just let me know and we can have an open discussion regarding this issue and possible change.

Random Tidbit Rules:
Season 5 will officially start on Wrestlemania April 3rd, 2016.  From there you will be paired up against opponents for 21 FWL weeks (2 week intervals) before the playoffs.

There are two aspects that affect the following year SEASON 6:
1. For the Alpha League you will be able to keep 1 player on your team as your Team Captain for Season 6.
2. Next year's draft for the Alpha League will be worst to first like the NFL does for everyone that stays on another year. Anyone that leaves, their spot and Team Captain will be dumped and any additional person that joins the game will be added to the bottom of the list and will be able to pick up a Team Captain before the draft begins.

Line-Ups
If you miss putting in your line-up 3 times, I go by the 3 strikes rule and you'll be out. Your players will be stripped from your team and back into the free agency and you will be ejected from the league for the rest of the year. This is for both the Alpha and Omega league. Anyone scheduled to go against you the rest of the schedule will get an auto-win unless another team gets booted and then the two team will face each other. I will restructure the schedule upon needed. It's simple to come in every two weeks and submit a line-up. You can even just say "same" to keep it the same and that will suffice but you can only do that 1 time in a row. If you try to "same" a line-up you just said "same" to it will not count and will be a strike. (Circumstances vary depending on health issues/emergencies. I will post the next week's thread as soon as I can in order to make everything go smoothly, you can also PM me your line-up if you know you are going on vacation, etc.) So your opponent does not get an automatic win if you miss putting your line-up in, I will manually insert your "best" line-up. BUT you will not get a win at all, this is only to avoid your opponent getting an auto-win. Deadline will be 7pm CST on Sundays EVERY FWL WEEK. Any line-up posted AFTER the stated deadline will be marked invalid and you will get a loss and score of 0 for the week. This is why it might be better to just make an additional post with your new line-up if you edit it instead of editing the actual post... just to be safe.

Trading
There will be the deadline for trading by the end of the regular season, but not pick-ups and drops or Waiver Wire for obvious reasons. This year we will no longer vote on any trades when they are first done. If someone sees a trade that they think is too far lopsided or might be "collusion" they can call it to a vote by sending a PM to myself or Midas and we will anonymously put it up for vote. You may trade with any other player at any time. You must confirm the trade in this thread along with the person you are trading with. You can NOT trade Waiver Wire picks. If it's in the middle of a currently active FWL Week, the trade's results will be available for next week.

Waiver Wire Rules
You may submit any Drop/Pick-Up Waiver Wire submission to me at anytime before the deadline of 5pm CST on Saturday. You may submit it through PM, IM, Facebook, Text, however you can get in touch with me. I, as commissioner, will submit my waiver request to Midas to keep it fair. After 5pm CST on Saturday, I will post the Waiver Wire Results. After I post the results, there will be an allotted time for open pick-up/drop. You may only pick-up/drop one wrestler at a time. Once another player does a pick-up/drop you may do another. You are NOT able to use Waiver Wire Picks in trading. Season 5 will bring a couple of changes with the Waiver Wire. The Waiver Wire order will start off at the beginning of the the year in opposite order of the draft. From this point on, anyone that picks up a player through the waivers will move to the back of the list while those that don't make a pick will keep their current position. This can be further explained if anyone needs it.

Week's Watching Schedule

Sunday: Random PPVs (If there are any events on the weekend, like I know ROH/TNA does PPVs on Friday/Saturday sometimes or WWE does a Saturday Night Show, they will be counted on SUNDAY - the beginning of the following week - to make sure we have time at the end for Waivers and whatnot.)

Monday: WWE Monday Night RAW and OVW

Tuesday: ROH TV (from previous Saturday) and WWE Main Event - ROH is usually on Saturday and gets posted online for free a day or two later, so I'm going to watch in on Tuesday, making it count on Tuesday.

Wednesday: TNA Impact, WWE NXT and Lucha Underground

Thursday: WWE Smackdown

Friday: WWE Superstars and TNA Xplosion (will be watched on Friday Night or Saturday ASAP to make sure all the points get in).

Saturday: Nothing. This day will be for Waiver Wire and catch-up if needed.

Also there will be WWE Network Original shows that will be on throughout the week. They will be watched as they occur. If there are any questions about this, feel free to ask.  It's just what fits best with my schedule in order for me to get all the points aligned as soon as I can.  This year, I will be posting the line-up weeks earlier to give more time as last time I only gave about a day or two to submit your line-up. NJPW and Chikara will be watched as they are available to view during the week. As per the normal rules, if it's on a Friday or Saturday it won't count until the FOLLOWING week starting on Monday.

Any questions, feel free to ask! All of this is subject to change and more information will be added here upon needed.

The differences between Alpha and Omega Leagues.

Alpha
$20 Entry Fee - winner take all $200 at the end of the season - payment can be made payable to nelly632@comcast.net through PayPal. You can quickpay me through Chase Bank using my phone number 224-305-3331 or e-mail joblessjosh@gmail.com either works. Or you can pay me through Facebook. They have the ability to add your debit card and send money over with no charge at all. It's pretty cool. Hell, if you really want to you can mail it to me, just let me know and I'll give you my physical address. I would prefer to have the money as soon as you can send it. The season officially starts at Wrestlemania (April 3rd) which gives you about 3 months to get it in. If you have any problem with getting it to me by then let me know and I'll adjust accordingly. :)

The keeper aspect will move forward with this league. At the beginning of each year's draft we will go through in order and secure our keepers. Midas already laid it out in another thread. You don't HAVE to keep your keeper. You can choose to not keep someone on your current team and you will move down to the bottom of the draft order for the entire draft.

Omega
This is a free league. No money involved.

There will be no keeper for this league. Each season this league's draft order will be randomized and we will draft from scratch each season.

New Rules for Season 5 (general rules for both leagues)

1. The only "points" addition was a +4 for performing an opponent's signature move.

2. There will be no votes on trading unless someone sends a PM to either myself or Midas.

3. Any player dropped in either waivers or open pickup/drop will be on a PROTECTED HOLD of 72 hours until they are available to be picked up again. I will make note of when they are free again to pick up.

4. The waiver wire submissions will have a hard deadline of Saturday at 5pm cst. I will send my waiver to Midas, the co-mod.

5. The deadline for your starting line-up will always be on Sunday at 7pm cst.

6. If you do not submit a line-up then the "best available" line-up will be put in place so your opponent does not get an auto-win, but you will still get an auto-loss and a "strike".

7. There is no longer a home field advantage of 20 points.

8. If a team gets ejected after getting three strikes their players will be dispersed back into the free agent pool. To make sure everything goes smoothly and no one gets auto-wins yet again, random.org will be used to pick a proxy team from one of the active teams in the league that they would have to beat to get their win. If another team gets ejected then I will adjust the schedule so that the two teams with no opponents get matched up moving forward.

9. NXT is it's own company seperate from WWE.

I can't think of any other changes at this moment and I've been racking my brain... if anyone thinks of any rules/changes that came up throughout the year let me know ASAP so I can decide and make adjustments if needed.

I will split the divisions, schedule, waivers and trades into two separate threads for the two separate leagues to make it easier when I get home from work.

This does not compute....

You both can lose. He has no chance of winning. You still have that chance but you have to play it out

Mike Powers

Oh....I think that's lame. But, I've never missed my lock in, so it doesn't really matter to me.

Fnord

That is in there because there are people that never got that "auto-win" because no one ever missed a line-up against them. So if 4 of Powers (for example) opponents don't put in a line-up that's 4 auto-wins (with the old rules) and if everyone always puts in a line-up against Pancho he had to fight it out tooth and nail. So it wasn't fair in that aspect.

So, now while the person that missed their line-up will get an auto loss for the week, their opponent still has to actually beat them to get the mark in their win column.

It made sense to me.

I forgot about a new rule which I added above:

8. If a team gets ejected after getting three strikes their players will be dispersed back into the free agent pool. To make sure everything goes smoothly and no one gets auto-wins yet again, random.org will be used to pick a proxy team from one of the active teams in the league that they would have to beat to get their win. Mike Powers

So, for example, I am set to face Midas, and you are set to face Alex.  Midas get's his 3rd strike prior to facing me, so he is booted out.  Random.org comes up with Alex.  Both you and I are facing Alex this week, but Alex can only win by beating you.

Is that right?

Fnord

Exactly! You got it! I'll of course put Alex-Proxy so there's no confusion. :)

Oh! I remembered something else! NXT is it's own entity outside of WWE. That means that Finn Balor is a Main. If/when he comes up to WWE he will be a non-title.

That also means that Neville who was a mid last season because he was NXT Champ is now a WWE Non-Title!

Also remember NJPW and Chikara are active this season as well. Their names are all in the correct places in the available picks page.

That is actually big news.

Fnord

For sure. I believe it gives a lot more flexibility in positions.

How does ROH and NJPW working together change wrestlers roles? If Jay Lethal defends the ROH championship on an NJPW show? Is he a Main then? What if he isn't defending the championship? Is he then a Non? What about Jay Briscoe? An ROH main representing ROH on an NJPW show? Going by the past seasons, these roles may switch from week to week based on the most recently viewed event?

They may switch from week to week based on the most recently appearance. The same with NXT and WWE. If Neville goes to NXT and has a random match he'll be a main. Then when he pops back up in NXT he'll be a non-title again.

Same for the likes of Jay Briscoe (for example). In ROH he'd be a Main, in NJPW he'd be a mid. I of course will update and let people know exactly what they are and their changes as I watch, so no need to keep track of that.

So ROH titles being defended in NJPW don't affect roles in NJPW? All good.
