Couldn't agree more... this sounds like a terrible book. If you can't afford a down payment for a house, then you probably shouldn't get a second job just to get up the cash. Why get yourself so deep into debt when you're already struggling as it is?

There's a difference between being positive and being naive, and that book sounds a little naive.
