Close everything on your desktop. Look on your keyboard for the PRT SCRN button. Press this and your desktop will be placed in your clip board. Right click on your display settings to see your resolution. Create an image in an image editor the size of your resolution in pixels. Then paste and your desktop should appear there.

Or just paste it in MSPaint, file save as, and you've got instant desktop image.

MSpaint will auto size the image based on what's in the clipboard when you paste it.
