This was the latest installment in the Child's Play series did anyone see it what are your opinions on it?

I thought it was a bit darker, more violent and gruesome than some of the previous installments. The impression I got is that it was intended to be a reboot of the series though many of the same actors/characters have appeared throughout.  Some of the previous CP movies had more comedic elements to them but this one sort of eliminates those and goes back to being a serious horror slasher , though at times it's hard to take a doll possessed by the spirit of a dead serial killer seriously even when it's intended to be.

I also feel it was a wise move keeping the same actor (Brad Dourif) in the role of Chucky/Charles Lee Ray as opposed to casting someone else. He's played the character since the first film in 1988 and I just can't picture anyone else doing it at least not as well as he has.

I have stayed away from this one on purpose. I'm not sure if I will see it.

Also, there is a movie review topic that you could have posted in as well.

I dunno, I think the difference between this one and the rest of the series warrants something different. I'm debating whether to watch this one or not, I had legit nightmares when I was young because of the first one. By the time they did Bride/Seed, it became a parody of itself (literally, in the case of Seed)...

You're right, Jesus is nicer. But Alex is a close second.
