GM Franchise

Padres didn't do too bad this year all things considered.

James, everytime you post in the OOC your perception of "yourself" is just as apparently off key 'in game' as GM Franchise as it is 'out of game' as yourself lol.

Now I know how Franchise feels every game.  Speak your mind and you get singled out for it.

Damn Braves.  BJ Upton and Dan Uggla need to spend the entire offseason in the batting cage.

I was hoping more for on an airplane, headed somewhere else.

I'd send Uggla, but would keep BJ.  Uggla has proven he can be an offensive power, but has proven more that he likes to hit under .200 and has rendered himself useless at the plate for the past two season.  BJ is a good outfielder, fast on the bases, can hit for power and average.  I think he was tough on himself for trying to live up to the contract.  The talent is definitely there and I think next season he will hit his stride.

BJ can hit for power, but he's probably best at around .250 average. While that's not as bad as his .184 this year, it's still not ideal. Luckily he has a good OBP (.329 ain't that bad), to offset it.

It was weird though. The Uptons and Heyward underperformed to varying degrees this year, yet the Braves still won the East fairly handily. It will be scary when they're firing on all cylinders in years to come (mind you they'll lose McCann and have to hope Gattis keeps progressing as a hitter).

Uggla on the other hand...he's gotta be close to being irrelevant in MLB now. He probably comes to Toronto and screws us up even more...

Justin

If Heyward can stay healthy he is going to be an absolute beast.  The man can play baseball and the good thing is that he is only 24.  Justin has the power, but he strikesout too much.  If he can get that under control then he will be even more dangerous.

I think they had everything right except AL Manager of the year. Thought John Farrell should have taken home the AL Manager of the Year.

As much as I would love Mike Trout to take the MVP award, what Cabrera has done over the last two seasons is just remarkable.
