I dunno about this one. I can't really see it with that actress. I mean, I can see a vague resemblance, but I'm not really getting the Wonder Woman, amazon vibe.

That description of the show doesn't do wonders for me either, pardon the pun. I mean, I like David E. Kelley's legal dramas and all but 'successful corporate executive'? Wonder Woman? I dunno if that's supposed to be a throwback to the Lynda Carter TV series, but noooooooo. That does not strike a 'Wonder Woman' chord with me at all.

'Humble', 'Compassionate', 'Spirit of Truth', 'Amazon Princess', 'Peace Maker', 'War Killer', 'Forged By The Gods', 'Natural Beauty', those are words I associate with Wonder Woman. 'Corporate Executive', not so much. I mean, if anything I would think for a live action adaptation, Wonder Woman could essentially just be Xena: Warrior Princess in a modern setting.

That being said, I am interested in seeing where this thing goes. I think going with the Spirit of Truth thing I could even kind of buy it if it had legal drama elements like a lot of Kelley's other works, but it sounds very, very odd to me.

She's hot as fuck, not a GREAT actrees but does a decent job and is tall. She did a good job on FNL, if she gets in shape should do a decent job. Don't like the premise of the show to be fair.

She is a fantastic actress...surely that is what we are looking for...

I've never seen her in anything but I keep hearing that she's a very good actress, so that's good. It's a shame the concept for the show sounds like ass.

Found this on another forum.

http://io9.com/#!5763604/wonder-woman-audition-tape-reveals-diana-prince-obsesses-about-her-breasts-being-too-small

Yeah, this is just the kind of complete failure to understand even the most basic aspects of Wonder Woman's character that I was afraid of.

First of all, Wonder Woman obsessing about the size of her breasts? Fail.

Second of all, Wonder Woman. Obsessing. About the size of her breasts? FAIL.

But you know, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and not jump to the conclusion that this is the show, exactly as it will be.  But IF the show is actually anything like this, they need to shoot it in the brain before it even comes out the gate and go back to the drawing board.

Here's an idea though, maybe when you're trying to write this show about this character you could DO SOME FUCKING RESEARCH.

She has got a massive jaw...

have to say.. I like it, great happy medium between the old and new costume..and to be fair the old costume would've looked cheesy.

Nope, sorry, still shite.

As has been mentioned on other forums, looks like one of the following:

A. A store-bought plastic Halloween costume.
B. A stripper.
C. A porn parody.

Sorry David E. Kelley, that ain't Wonder Woman. This could pass for Women Woman:

Yours... Doesn't.

Just another in a long line of mounting evidence that these folk just don't get it. Maybe try actually READING about the character next time.

I've had a few other things to say about this on another forum, so I'll just quote them here:

Quote from: Jonny Worldbeater on March 19, 2011, 09:24:32 PMFurther proof these morons have no idea who or what Wonder Woman is.

This show looks Batman & Robin level insultingly bad. I hate this obnoxious trend of 'updating' and 'modernising' and 'revamping' these classic characters and their costumes. Especially because you just know the 'modern' costume isn't going to stick like the classic version, because fashions go out of style at a rate of 186,000 miles per second.

And you know, if you really have such a problem with the skimpy trunks, then tell me, what the hell was wrong with this:

Bottom line, if it ain't broken don't fucking 'fix' it.

The tights don't look right to you, the pants don't look right to me. For one thing, they're incredibly bland, not very dynamic and unevocative of a superheroine or an amazon. To say nothing of the fucking high heels. The star spangled tights or skirts are also very striking and symbolic. Plain blue/black pants are not. Aesthetically and emblematically, the design just works.

I would also argue that she has been pulling off the one piece look for 70 years and it's stuck well throughout, so for better or worse, that's the look that we associate with Wonder Woman.

On a side note, here's an image I've found related to when the whole 'updated image' thing was first brought up:

I agree. She has a big jaw.
