Poly Styrene died yesterday evening due to advanced breast cancer. For those who don't know, she was the lead singer of British punk outfit X-Ray Spex, who wrote classic songs like "Oh Bondage, Up Yours!" and "Germ Free Adolescents." She had just completed her most recent solo record when she was diagnosed.
