Yeah. This season is over for most teams, including the Waves. It's pretty obvious that the contract is intended to start next season. I doubt Ian would be that cruel. On a side note, I can't believe people are paying their players that much money. Nobody is worth that, no matter how good they are.

He's an MVP-calibre player who scores almost 30 points per game.

Cunningham decidedly is worth that if you've got the right team set up around him. If it's between having an A+ grade player at 23 million or not having an A+ player are you genuinely saying you'd rather have two guys maybe at the B, C+ mark if you're lucky for the same price?
