More so than the Mississippi/Virginia trade?

Yep. Valentine is at the end of his career. Crane is a somewhat serviceable big man.

Meanwhile Dane is a soon to be top 3 point guard and Majoe is a top flight power forward. Not to mention Keaton can score 20 in any given game.

Justin

This is the one thing I dont understand about this game.....why should someone be rewarded for bailing on their team? If you want to quit go ahead...but shouldn't be taken part of the team with you.

Mike Powers

There's only one thing you don't get about this game? You're in a better boat than me!

Gravedigger

It's a 21 year old B+ PG being dealt with a 23 year old C+ SG/SF and a 23 year old B+PF/C...

Yeah, I'd say lopsided....

Rob

So when does me being rewarded for it start?

Ive long ago learned that this game is a fickle matter.

The TeeJ of Philly

Yeah no, the Mississippi/Virginia trade was terrible.

This trade isn't bad when you think of it this way: The only pick that Baton Rouge had to give up was it's first round pick, which should end up being a good pick, he's not going to trade that pick in the deal.

Crane and Valentine are great players for a rebuilding team. They've been around for a couple seasons, aren't head cases, and are solid performers that aren't over paid on short contracts. Whoever takes over Bismarck needs to be patient with one of the most patient owners in the league.

Justin, how is Valentine at the end of his career? He's got at least two more years in him. That's enough for a new GM to work with. He's serviceable. And if we've learned anything, the grass is never greener.

I can't wait for Dane to want to go back to Bismarck ... Cam Drake 2.0!

It feels greener in Seattle.  :)

Dude you quit on your team and you get to take three of the better players in the league at their respective positions with you. Thats called having your cake and eating it too.

I call two years at the end of his career. You cant build a team that has just been stripped of 95% of their talent with two serviceable players.

I don't think I'm likely to go over there and all of a sudden win the championship because of this trade... I expect there to be massive bumps in the road. All these people that do their trades that are seemingly unfair, they never win the FBL Championship, do they?

Funnily enough, I applied for the Tempe job before Tim did and I made a trade offer which was a lot fairer than this, Ian countered with an offer that was even more lop-sided than the one you see me making with Baton Rouge. I approached this trade as if I was trading with someone, position for position... Even on a largely more dramatic scale. But yeah, I'm an asshole getting rewarded for doing what everyone else in the game has done.

It's not like I'm giving Bismarck shit. All are good players on good contracts. The person that takes over Bismarck will have the luxury of not joining an empty team and will have the money to spend. I've taken all the PR contracts away so now they're only spending 1.5m and their coaches so they will have a smegload of the stuff. The person that takes over there is going to be in a nice position of having money on their side.

Why leave Bismark to begin with?
