- GREEN MAKE A FRANCHISE PRESENTATION TO HIS AGENT IN YOUR TEAM THREAD THEN PM MOD YOUR OFFER. THIS MEANS THE FREE AGENT HAS A SERIOUS INTEREST IN JOINING YOUR TEAM SO WOWZER HIM!

- ORANGE MEANS PM MOD YOUR OFFER. THE PLAYER HAS A PASSING INTEREST IN YOUR FRANCHISE AND IS LOOKING FOR A DECENT DEAL TO JOIN.

- RED MEANS THE PLAYER ISNT INTERESTED SO DONT WASTE MY TIME OR YOURS!


Then Ian will announce which player signed where.

How it works is that, close to the beginning of the season, Ian will release a list of all the players in contract years, accompanied by a 1-4 ranking of preference for teams that they are interested in going to. This does not mean that they won't go to any team not on this ranking, or that they won't re-sign, just that those are the teams they're interested in.

A separate field indicates whether they are willing to re-sign, haven't made up their mind, or are committed not to re-signing.

As All-star break approaches, Ian will request PMs from people paging their interest in upcoming free agents. Then, another PDF is released with the names of the players, accompanied by their willingness to sign with a given team that has pitched interest in them.

Red means they're not interested at all.
Yellow means to PM Ian with a contract offer, which they will accept or not based on their own needs and ambitions.
Green means to make a pitch to the player's agent in a thread, where you aim to 'sell' your team to them - usually this will involve answering a couple questions from the agent with regards to what role your forsee for the player, which then rounds off with you making an offer.

Once the Free agency week concludes, Ian releases a final statement (usually in general news), which indicates where various players ultimately decided to sign.

Having a wisdom tooth removed tomorrow morning, so if I'm even on briefly I doubt I'll be coherent enough to do anything plus the current development in my thread so it's probably going to be another day or so at the very least for me to lock (still assuming I manage to get a YC which is looking bleak at this point).  Just a heads up.
