I voted yes because it is going to take another two months just to finish the rest of the season, despite all the team vacancies.  The season is dragging.  Though, the playoffs still need to be an option or I will switch my vote.

COMMISSIONER TRUMPS INVOLVED IN A SAXOPHONE SCANDAL, CALLS FOR EARLY END TO THE SEASON

News out of the league office is that Commissioner Trumps, embarrassed by the pressure of the worldwide expansion of basketball, has to now face another scandal when it was revealed that a reporter broke into his mansion and secretly filmed him having sex with his wife, another consenting adult, and a saxophone. The release of this totally consensual sex tape has rocketed the FBL world. Angry Mothers have reformed MAT (Mothers Against Trumps) to protect their aspiring young basketball players from wanting a life inside the FBL. One mother was quoted as saying "This Trumps sex tape is vile! It forced me to have to talk about sex with my 12 year old son! What parent wants to be responsible for that?! It's inhumane!"

In response to the gross invasion of privacy Commissioner Trumps was heard angrily in the league office firing everyone in sight and telling people to "shut this thing down!". Naturally the league assumed he meant to end this season prematurely in a manner that his saxophone ended his 4-way prematurely, and now the season is set to end just after the all-star break. More on this as the story develops.

Justin, our match up this week is the one I'm REALLY looking forward to. 

Measuring stick type of game for my team to see where we really are, I think we benefited from Reb being low on time when we beat them, so this one is the game to show me if we're legit or just on a hot streak.

One way to explain my side of voting no.

The game takes a while, yes... but its the same people playing once you restart next season.  It's going to drag at times, that's how it works with this many folks playing.

If you only play the game for the off-season/free agency and don't enjoy trying to manage your team from Week 1 - the playoffs, then I get why you'd vote to rush to the end of the year, but it basically makes all the work you have (or plan) on doing this year to build your team or create relationships and chemistry before your young players are in the last year of their deal a big waste of time.

Selfishly, I should say yes for the reason Rob stated, but the more games we play, the better chance at winning a playoff spot I have and you just never know if this year is your year.

Im voting NO simply for the latter reason tho, if the season were to end at say, week 21, everyone has played each other 3 times. You lock in for weeks 15/16, 17/18, and 19/20/21 it's a happy medium between shortening the season drastically and dragging to the end of the season

Plus with three first round picks and two of them projecting high with a stacked team, the more time to figure out my plan of action going forward.

It's not fair to those who are fighting to get back in the playoff situation because a large number were fired and/or quit.  Unless you're going to expand playoffs.
