Also note there is 65 rookies coming into this draft. And the max that the top players can be offered is 10 million...so just to teach a bit of basic economics...

rookies are cheap and have cheap 2 year deals...

the AAA, SL and Euro Ball should really be looked as dumping grounds for players you dont want.

What about players we do want that we can't afford? Do you have any economics lessons for that? :)

I think the game has enough of a revolve around it for someone with basic maths and budgeting understanding to work it.

You just need to know when to cut the losses.

Best example I can give is people holding out for major SL, Euro Ball or AAA deals. If a guy costs you x amount and produces x amount of stats you need to weigh up that value vs taking a rookie for 2 years (or temp staff so to speak) who can contribute similar and a fraction of the cost.

Some seem to be getting this and others arent.

Oh, I get it. It doesn't mean I like it. :)

I won't be able to actively update the rosters as deals come in while I'm at work... (for some reason the IE we have doesn't support Google Docs, it's quite annoying.)

So as I always say...

DO NOT JUST RELY ON THE SPREADSHEET.

Need to do your own homework and track your numbers. Spreadsheet is just a guide.

I did not

Either way, I don't think his production quite cued 19m. Would rather risk letting him walk

Oh I agree, Powell is an overated turd IMO.

But you probably could have moved him or them for a chunk of PR instead of asking for a player they won't move.

SL isn't offering much of anything at the moment. It's strictly a salary dump.

Jon

You're not going to turn 2 duds into 1 stud in the SL, Ty.

Probably yeah, it's worth giving a shot though for Cunningham. If that fails, I'll see what I can get. If it works, I've freed up 10million in pr and take on a big 1-2 year contract that'll produce at least

You're also giving up three guys that can help you be competitive (even if they aren't stars) for a guy who may score in droves but probably doesn't want to play in Birmingham. Build slowly, draft well, and meet your owners demands. It may take a season but it sure beats a quick fix blowing up every year.

This - it took me five years to get to the finals and some tough decisions.

Haters gonna hate. Just win baby!
