Well to be fair, there is a strategy element (not that the Bells are in the same conference) but if you have to trade your stars I GET wanting to get them out of the league so they cant burn you.

Philosophically speaking I never understood this line of thinking.  You take the best trade available despite the team or conference your trading in.  Why cut your nose to spite your face?
