Riley was still bobbing along in NXT. Santino was still on the payroll, he'd retired and was looking at doing some network stuff... that clearly didn't pan out. It's a shame, as I thought the guy could really go in the ring. I might pick up him for FWL, he'll probably end up in NJPW.

Only the WWE can screw up Barrett and Sandow.

Both were on fire. If they would have let Barrett continue with the Bad News stuff, he would have been a monster heel. Sandy was in the same boat. They could have parlayed Sandow's "Mizdow" gimmick. They blew their wad too quickly and turned him on the Miz too quickly.

That's not even counting Santino's potential. The Chamber match where he came close to winning is still one of my favorite moments in WWE history. The crowd was EXPLODING every time they'd tease a Santino win. The WWE was thirsty for a new star at that time and they had one ready made and blew it.

Barrett always seemed to be injured, which was unfortunate, but it just seemed like once he joined the League of Nations he was always just a cheerleader, which sucks because from Nexus (sans the Corre) through to the King Barrett crap, I really liked his work.

Santino will always be remembered as one of my favorites... it takes talent to wrestle, but to wrestle in a comedic style always being in character is just pure genius in my view. And the promos before WWE creative micro managed them were obviously comedy gold.

From threatening to open up the can of ass-whips on Austin to being afraid of heights in a MITB match, I was always greatly entertained by him.

Having said that, this news in itself is obviously not that much of a shock.

Just a few hours after several WWE talents were released, two of those talents are already booked for Global Force Wrestling / WrestlePro shows.

Hornswoggle and Zeb Colter have both been announced for the June 11 show in Keyport, New Jersey. Hornswoggle will be using the name 'Swoggle.'
