Apparently he had a heart attack in Florida and couldn't be revived.

Got damn, RIP Kimbo. Always been a guilty pleasure of mine, repped a Kimbo shirt back in Middle school when he was just a backyard brawler.

Really sad news, especially to go so young.

It's so scary to think Dada 5000 could've died during or shortly after their fight, and then Kimbo dies a few months after.  Makes you wonder what kind of medical screening Belator are doing these days.

Fair play to Kimbo, he drew big TV ratings, had great charisma and brought a lot of casual fans to the sport.  While not the most skilled fighter, or the best conditioned, he had his gimmick and it worked and made him a lot of money.

Also outside the cage I've heard nothing but good things about him being a really nice, friendly and down to earth guy.  All of the fighters who knew him or trained with him said he was a really good guy.

Damn shame.
