I'm not going to say Manning had a good game, because he should have played better, but his O-line needed to step up. Seattle was able to rush 4, barely ever blitzing, and could drop 7 into coverage. And even with rushing 4 they were getting pressure on him. His biggest problem last night was that he's a pocket passer and couldn't make any sort of plays with his legs. He couldn't escape the pressure, and saw a ton of dudes back in coverage. In that situation not many QBs would have played well.

As for the rest of the NFL weekend, how does Andre Reed make the Hall of Fame over Tim Brown? Brown did as much for his team and had absolutely horrid quarterback play until late in his career (Gannon), and he was a great special teams player. Not impressed with that voting. Marvin Harrison deserved the nod over Reed as well.

That's Seattle though, they get pressure with 4 rushers a lot. Not sacks, but pressure which is just as bad when you're QB is as immobile as Peyton Manning.

And Reed made it over Brown because he waited long enough. 9 Years. One of Brown/Harrison will make it next yera the other the year after that. The next couple first years aren't entirely too great outside of Orlando Pace next year and Favre the year after that.

I am biased on the HOF discussion as both a Raider and Notre Dame fan, where Brown went to college, but I think he's a better football player than Reed.

As for the rest of the guys, Charles Haley keeps getting overlooked and it makes no sense.

It's not just about being a better player. I don't think there are many people that would argue Reed is better than Brown. But like TJ said, Reed waited his turn to get in.

Ray Rice knocked fiancee out

Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice struck his fiancée with his hand, rendering her unconscious, according to a summons obtained by ESPN.

Rice and his fiancée were both arrested for simple assault after an incident early Saturday at a casino in Atlantic City, N.J. Rice and the woman "struck each other with their hands," according to an Atlantic City police report.

A video obtained and posted online by TMZ on Wednesday shows Rice lifting the woman by her arms out of an elevator at the Revel Casino and laying her on the ground. She appears limp as he pulls her legs away from the elevator doors and later props her up.

Rice's attorney, Michael Diamondstein, told The Baltimore Sun that the footage is authentic but incomplete. The prosecutor's office released a statement saying the case has been referred to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office for review.

The NFL will review the incident under the league's personal conduct policy.
