So I said Spider-Man vs. Kitty Pryde was crazy close. Then I flipped that Jean Grey vs. Thor was happening this early. Now Gambit vs. Cyclops? Damn!

Cyclops should be a lock to beat any X-Man in a fight that isn't named Jean Grey, Storm or Wolverine. And Wolverine is questionable too. He's a tactician nearly on par with the likes of Captain America and Nick Fury. Like Fury, and even Professor X, he's especially good at knowing his teammates weaknesses. Gambit is a great fighter, but what the abilities list for Cyclops is missing is that without powers, he's near-Wolverine levels in physical combat. Add the tactical side of things and there is no chance for Gambit.
