Ok, for about a week now, this site and a few others hosted by you (I think? gob and pwr)... Whenever I try to do anything firefox just keeps "waiting for (site)".... forever.

I've found that for here, if I just keep clicking reload it eventually shows up... but it's taking 20-30 minuets or so between each page I go to.

I've cleared cookies, private data, everything tried multiple browsers and ran virus scans.

just wondering if it could be something with my ISP?  as it's only these sites doing it.

Draeden

Not sure if this helps but EFK is the only site I know of that takes a good few seconds longer than everywhere else to load the page. Doesn't bother me but maybe related? Haven't noticed with PWR but I don't visit there as often.

Maybe a DNS thing?  I dunno.  Sites are responding fine.  Maybe stop using your ISPs DNS and switch to openDNS like I use.

Cory Funk Jr.

Did that and it still is not working right for me. Hmmm

I want you guys to bookmark those links, reboot routers, modems and computers, whatever.  Come back online, open up your browser, and hit those links in order.  Post your results.  Those are the 3 page types you're going to run across.

The main problem is that the site itself should be the one made more accessible, not the individuals having the problem.  It's slow for me on comcast and on my blackberry.

ipconfig /flushdns worked for Cory

Fuck accesibility.

Judge Zod is clearly not amused by your demands. To be honest, the site's working fine for me. (shrug)

You're right, Jesus is nicer. But Alex is a close second.

And me when I was having problems with other sites.  To be fair Jesse, 3 people having problems with the site doesn't equal a site problem to me.

so far has worked for me.

You would be right, if it's only 3 people.  But if Comcast DNS and Blackberry DNS take 90 seconds longer to load, it's not just me.  It could be millions of potential visitors.  I'm just saying, MSN.com doesn't tell people to change their DNS to go to their site.

If you're cool how it is, I guess that's it.  But the problem isn't with the visitor, it's gotta be with the server itself.

jagilki

until I did the flush thing Jesse, it wasn't 90 seconds longer...

It was that it wouldn't freaking load at all, unless I hit reload like 90-100 times... eventuallly it would load.

Judge

Thing is, it's not the server.  It's not happening to everyone.  It's a cached DNS issue at an ISP or local level.  Flushing DNS resolves the issue.

If it was happening to me, trust me, I'd be all over this shit.  But it's not, and it's not happening to everyone.

I'm considering this resolved and locking.
