Gone Girl.

I really enjoyed it....up until the
non-ending. What the fuck is that nonsense? I understand leaving an ending open for interpretation, but to do that you actually need to HAVE an ending. I haven't been this disappointed at the end of a movie in a long time.
Justin

The Equalizer. Denzel is the man. Cant wait for the sequel. That is all.
I think the point of the end was that he had no way out and gave in. She's a psycho that ruined him and he had to stay, not only because of what she did to him but because of the child. As the movie unfolded I was hoping for something like Neil Patrick Harris' character being a serial killer and offing her, but as much as the ending was anticlimatic I get it. Not a fan of it, but I think I understand the point.

Believe me, I understand the ending. I just hate it. I feel like when I'm reading a book or watching a movie, I'm experiencing a story that someone is telling me. And ending with zero resolution is a cop out (Sopranos did the same thing). I understand leaving stuff open for interpretation (The Usual Suspects did this expertly) but you really should have an actual ending.

Lemme ask you another question. Why the hell did she hit herself in the face with the hammer? She was on the run, she was trying to blend in....so let's make a giant bruise on my face to draw everyone's attention?

I think it was to sell that she was a battered woman from New Orleans that was on the run, not the woman from nearby, but maybe she did it because she's a lunatic that seemed to love putting herself in these situations by hurting herself, like the rape evidence at the lake house with the bottle...
Deliver Us from Evil

Honestly, maybe the best horror movie of the last 5 years....and I dont even know if it went to theater? A thriller/horror done very well....maybe the best style of exorcist movie ive seen, very original and doesnt follow many, if any, cliches of an exorcism style movie. VERY recommended.

4.5/5 for a horror movie.

Is it more thriller or horror. I might make the wife watch this one.

fair bit of both, my girlfriend loved it.....I would say 1st hour is thriller, last hour is horror.

Kirk

I watched A Dame To Kill For last night. It has the plot and acting of a softcore porn movie... and just about as much nudity. It had none of the excitement or novelty of the first one and the characters aren't nearly as interesting. Brolin had a good Batman voice, though. No idea why we are going to get Batfleck instead of him in the cowl.

Black Death

well ... finally saw the Conjuring  this past Halloween ... yeah I know I am way late on it ... just never got around to it , being I step away from the horror movie genre as I get older.  I find certain things in real life can be more terrifying than horror movies  , but must say well done movie , quite enjoyable. Wonder how they will top it in the sequel?

Trucker and Dale vs Evil ... also  got around to watching this on Halloween ... Love this so much , just funny a hell and kind of touching and spot on accurate skewing those teens in the woods being attack  horror movies.

all and all fun Halloween movie night
"Asuka, gives you two thumbs up"

Black Death

Big Hero Six ... Awesome movie , just love it , great animation , great characters, great voice work ... make you laugh, cry... I just had  wonderful time  watching it .

also there a short film before the movie called Feast ... wonderful little film that was funny and moving .

I recommend this movie...

John Wick... fairly light on plot, but plenty of great action to make up for story. Fun movie if you're not looking for something deep and thought provoking.

Cory

Lets be Cops:

Actually a really funny movie, somewhat original plot....but for some relative "unknowns" for the leads, very well done, lots of quotables and maybe the funniest movie out this year.

4/5

Into the Storm:

Ugh, I despise the one of the main actors (chick who played Laurie in Walking Dead) so maybe that made me hate this movie extra more. The acting was horrendous as was the story....but from a special effects standpoint and Twister being one of my favorite movies as a kid, the effects were awesome and innovative....but not enough to overcome the shit acting.

Million ways to die in the West ... very funny movie ... smarty written and some great cameos in the movie .

i know not everyone is going to like it ,  Seth Mcfaclane can turn some people off.  i really enjoy these types of movie reminded me of Blazing Saddles in a lot of ways.

Yeah wasnt that bad...some stupid bits but majority were good....kinda seemed to follow Family Guy at times with just weird random bits but they were often funny....plus a back to the future cameo .
