Hey folks, I thought you guys might like to know I've started writing a MMA column for the folks over at Wrestling Rambles.

The first one was posted last night.  I look at 5 big stories or events from the week in MMA and try to write about them in an entertaining fashion.

This week I'm looking at the last two UFC Fuel and FX shows, plus Batista's MMA debut, the continuing decline of Mayhem Miller and a preview of UFC 153.

If you read it, it'd be great if you could leave a comment at WR, or maybe RT the link if you're on Twitter.  I'm trying my hand at writing about MMA to add another string to my bow (so to speak) because writing about wrestling just depressed the fuck out of me these days!

Watching MMA has definitely become one of my favourite past times. I'm a casual wrestling fan these days but MMA is certainly now one of my favourite things to watch. I read all of the stuff on here and have the MMA junkie app on my iPhone.

I'm learning as much as I can about the sport, which I've really only been watching properly for the last couple of months. I love it more each time I watch it.

I also agree about the punch from Big Foot - what a smash! Really enjoyed Struve's performance too - his size makes him a unique threat and one that all kinds of fighter will struggle to deal with.

Great article mate, was refreshing to see an enjoyable review. Places like Sherdog and some others are often full of negativity, fighter bashing and whatnot so it really is a pleasure to read a well informed and positive opinion on recent MMA events.

You should have plenty to talk about over the coming months too, lots of rumours about Strikeforce closing down and Rousey vs. Cyborg happening on a UFC card. Could be the start of the WMMA transitioning to UFC which is a huge talking point, lot of split opinions on it too.

Would've liked a shout out to Jimi Manuwa after the beating he put on Kingsbury at the UK show.

You've got a reader in me I would've posted on the site (still might) just being a lazy fucker with the whole sign up stuff.

Another great read Duckman.

As somebody who's only been watching UFC properly for a few months, I have to say that Condit v GSP was by far my favourite fight so far. Even as someone learning the sport, I could tell these two guys are both VERY good. I couldn't take my eyes off it. Wonderful entertainment.

Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the read.  GSP v Condit will probably be up there for fight of the year honours.  The whole story going into the fight took it to another level.  Plus the level of technical skill both guys have ensured it lived up to the hype.  GSP is a fucking machine man.  I don't know about anyone else, but I was up out of my seat when Condit nailed him with that head kick in the 3rd.

That fight had everything I want from a world title fight.
