What is the basis for your character(s)?

TaNK

WHy did you pick your character and its gimmick?

I always try to use a character that I am comfortable with. The reasoning for TaNK's gimmick as a badass biker is because I've known alot of bikers growing up and thought they were pretty badass and it is an american culture cornerstone. His personality is just an exaggeration of my own. He likes Jack Daniels and I do alot, He likes cute girls with HUGE asses and I do too, and he is just a badass and I am too lol. So, yeah.. TaNK is a exaggeration of myself.. and it is my real life nickname from a fight I had when I was 16 and it just stuck. I've used for over 10 years now.

Kenfucius

Eh, I've worked in a casino for years, which has lead to me having a morbid fascination for hardcore "spend the rent money" gamblers.

My character is an extension of that, the extreme gambler whose life decisions are dictated by the a roll of the dice, literally.

It was an effort to make a departure from my usual M.O. because if there's one thing all my characters had in common before that, it was that they operated from the basis of logic and long thought, so I wanted to try and write someone more willing to risk the little things, ignore that small print, and be more spontaneous.

It was an experiment, one that worked pretty well for me, though my older style has amalgamated into it somewhat.

Tim-Æ

Sebastian Cross was originally a distraction for me. My first year in the TFWF I didn't take the character as seriously as I do now, which is why some of my stuff was more erratic and just not as focused as it is now. Now that I look at what he's become, he's more of a cross (pun?) between Rey Mysterio Jr. and Christopher Daniels. Typically in prowrestling, high flyers are almost always fan favorites that never talk up a storm or appear to be anything more than projectiles. I didn't want that with Cross. I wanted to have a smaller guy that could hold his own and talk shit on people, not be scared of them. I think with the help of Ian and Sam and the board at the TFWF, that goal has effectively been acheived.

Judge

I made a character with the judge set (costume/voice) on WWE Attitude on the N64, and decided that'd be cool.

Bryan

Ness originally was just an extension of me at first. He didn't really have a set kind of gimmick until about last year when I went for the "realist, hard-edged wrestler" gimmick i've been trying to implement. I still see a lot of me in Ness, but I also see a lot of me with Kent Clark.

Clark was me trying to find a gimmick with TFWF. I liked what I saw and I wanted to do a character that was the total opposite of Ness...a lighthearted, funny character that i would enjoy writing. my main hobby is video games, and combine that with wrestling...and you have Kent Clark :)

Excaligore

For Eaton Gore. Basically Ian requested I try to make a face since TFWF was short at the time.  Problem was I really am not a face fanatic. I mean I can't write for that cocky hip character because I'm 0% cool and -1000% hip.

So, my thought was, what's the only way an asshole like me can write for a face? A: If I'm really really sarcastic with it. So I decided to make him a cannibal. Being extremely amused by the concept of taking  the most horrible type of human being imaginable and turning him into the most lovely pleasant polite and likeable underdog babyface ever!

Exile

Exile is one half of my personality. Road Block is the other. Together they make one Chris.

;D

Draeden

I wanted to pull out an old character I used years ago but wanted a fresh start. Instead of regurgitating the same crap again I thought I'd reinvent him, thus Draeden was born. I kinda made him up as I filled in the join form for VWF and it kinda worked out from there. As it happens, the character I was going to introduce originally has made an appearance in Draeden's RPs and will be popping up again shortly.

Rebel Child

Okay....

For the story of Georgie Nickles and how she came to be... It's quite simple yet difficult at the same time.

I first started efedding quite a few years ago, and decided to use the name of my very first rp character that I had for Whitewolf.  The chick was cool, she was a female lucha without the mask, and she just was slightly sassy with a Latina bit.

Now..fast forward a few years, I had gotten out of efedding and decided it wasn't my thing - of course that's when people come knocking again.  I brought in my girl, but then I got asked to join another efed and  at that time didn't feel comfortabel with running the same character in two places so Georgie Nickles was created.

Georgie was ALSO another white wolf character name.. First and Last to be exact.

Anyways, she wasn't meant to be anything more than just a throw away character in a fed I could have given two rats asses about.

Boy how that changed so much eh?  Anyways, once more, Georgie evolved in a lot of ways.  I stopped looking at her as this throw away chick, and started looking at her as the... Opposite of EVERYTHING I've seen wrong with female efed characters.  I'm sorry but for the most part (not totally..) it seemed when I had created Georgie, every other female character was loose, a slut, and would suck any cock to get somewhere in the wrestling world.  Wrestling bimbos without a lick of intelligence.  So she became my running commentary on such things.  She was also created to NOT wrestle against women for the most part (because I always thought that efeds that did that was retarded honestly.).

So I began to evolve Georgie, she scoffed at modern society's outlook on women in wrestling, she continued to be the hellraiser from the history that I gave her, and it all happened by happenstance with my irritation how slutty some girls play their characters.  So she's the anathema to 'divas' and she giggles at the term most times.   Georgie is an extension of myself, able to say what's on her mind and not worry about others will think - I'm that way to a certain extent but not as forceful of nature as she is.

Michael on the other hand?  He's just the awesome who was never meant to be.  He got brought in by another character to surprise Georgie, and I realized how much I loved the character, and then I slowly started devloping her family.

Weee I ramble!

Big Gay Honker

Over my many years since 1997, I've had 3 chars.  First one really sucked.  Second one is the one everyone knows as Obnoxio.  Third one was a face, and it's that character I learned I can't play face well at all.  Obi is more of that dark sense of humor we all have.  He's one of the dumbest, yet smartest chars which is totally odd.  One of the best examples was a Stable he was in.  One of his stable mates was taking on the champion at a PPV.  At the beginning of the show, Obi banged on the guys door, and challenged him.  The guy stepped out, and whipped his ass.  Obi laid there, crying.  The guy was like "Great now I smell like you, I need a shower.  As the guy went back in, Obi stuck his foot in the door keeping it from closing.  He snuck in during the shower, and stole the belt.  When he got back to his stables dressing room, he produced the belt, one guy got worried the officials would go there first, and Obi told him to relax, he switched it out with a replica.  Well long story short, the champ and officials came to their dressing room with an old belt with a gold chocolate coin on it.  Back red "Obnoxio kicks so much ass.  When asked why only a chocolate coin, he said he ate the rest and it was the only one that escaped devourment.  So the champ ate the coin, and asked Obi how he liked that.  Obi just said, "well that's the one I licked."  Again, evil genius, but evil stupidity.

JaceGryphon

Jace Gryphon, in his original invention about...7 or 8 years ago?  I can't recall the exact time I started RPing, I just know it was still in high school, which means more than 5 years ago.  Anyways, in his original invention, he was just kind of the bad ass that I wasn't at the time.  I was always the good kid in high school, always saying "Ya know, I don't think we should be doing this..." that punk ass.  Haha.  Jace Gryphon was just my way of letting out that dark side of myself without getting into trouble.  Now that I'm older and give two shits less, and after about a five year hiatus from e-fedding, I got back into it and reincarnated Jace Gryphon as just an exaggerated embodiment of myself now.  Kinda like Tank said.  Anyone paying attention to VWF is about to see Jace take on an even darker side here pretty soon, should be good stuff.

Jayden Knight and Manny Rodriguez are essentially my homage to the Human Torch and the Thing from the "Fantastic Four."

Dorian Wong? A creepy amalgamation of the Joker, Ozymandius from "Watchmen," and Jigsaw from the "Saw" films.

Patrick Pines was inspired by Cliff Imig.

Jamie Parker for the "Queens of Killer Instinct" card (under my admittedly transparent pseudonym of Phil Lupino) was inspired by one of my best friends. Hopefully, you guys will look into the work for her as I am really high on the character right now.
"Behind you, Primo! WATCH OUT!"

Dave Johnson

My character is all about picking a common and good name, Dave Johnson. I have stuck by this name now for my whole efedding career which is just over a year.

I just got a new character which is a Werewolf character and I love it as I think it was time for a change and do new things, so it is very enjoyable to write.

Fallen Angel:  Started out as a babyface hero type character.   Viewed society as needing cleaned up and he was going to be the one to do it, through the medium of prowrestling.  I nicked from Black and White Sting and also the emo tendancies and promo style of ECW era Raven.  I of course stole the name from Chris Daniels who in 2000 no one had really heard of.  Trust him to then get famous!  Changed the direction of the character to an uber corporate heel and started The Career Killer gimmick.  I'm now moving him into having this idea of needing to be the best ever in the sport and also on a bit of a revenge kick because of a high profile World Title loss to uber babyface TFWF legend, Pimp In.  This is going to lead Angel down a more violent and less corporate path.

Joey Lupino:  My attempt at combining The Sopranos with professional wrestling.  Joey was ex-mafia who had been locked up and on his release decided to get away from that life by becoming a wrestler.  A cool, cocky but very sympathetic babyface I had a ton of fun writing for him.   I've retired him now but he could always come back.

I also had three other generic characters when I first started.  The Agents of Darkness (AOD) big bad heel tag team and Ozaki a hardcore wrestler from Japan.  They all sucked! lol.

Peace

When I came up with the inspiration of my character Michael Harliquin, well to be honest I dunno where the inspiration came from. He started as a cunning manipulative backstabbing corporate bastard and evolved through writings and what have you to a seriously psychotic, but exceedingly brilliant unstable guy, sophisticated and respected ... think a cross of Hannibal Lecter and Agent Smith and you basically get the idea.
I enjoyed writing him, in a weird sorta way. I would pump some of my political views and feelings into rants and took his actions to the extremes, knowing I could never DO the stuff he did, but I suppose writing different stuff is what makes it fun and challenging.
