If you were a 80's kid or a horror fan in general you are probably familiar with these two shows. If not allow me to give you a brief rundown. In 1983 George Romero along with the blessing of Stephen King set to make a TV anthology series based on their hit film Creepshow sadly due to Warner Bros owning the Creepshow name Romero re-titled it Tales from the Darkside and became the first and also successful first run syndication series which lasted four seasons and 1988 Paramount followed suit with a first run syndication series called the 13th Hour about a man who ran a antique shop who makes a pact with the devil for immortality and wealth but in return would sell cursed objects in his store and when he breaks the pact he is dragged into hell, leaving his niece Miki and his nephew Ryan to recover the cursed objects and seal them away. It was re-titled and sold as Friday the 13th the series to capitalize on the success of the film series despite having no connections outside of a planned episode where the two would head to crystal lake to recover Jason's mask believing it to be one of the cursed objects but never materialized as the show was dropped after it's third season.

Now both series have seen a repacked complete series boxset from CBS home video this month. Now don't expect high video quality here these are old 80's first run syndication series but hey if your a fan these are cheap enough ranging from 20-35 bucks.
