MFX56 – Tales from the Emergency Room.

You know how last week everyone freaked out because MFX was up a day early?  Check us out, we're posting on TUESDAY this week!  That's right, TUESDAY!

Join your heroes Duckman and Sir Ian Trumps as they traverse the week in life and professional wrestling in a fashion that's so comedic, it'll render all other jokes obsolete.

They kick the show off this week with talk about Sir Ian's trip to the emergency room with kidney stones.  Duckman joins the medical kick as he talks about his trip to the osteopath to cure his bad back.  They talk your feedback, emails and some of the big stories in the world of wrestling including Randy Orton being attacked by a fan, Kurt Angle's DUI and the big reveal on IMPACT this week.

Then it's on to the IMPACT review.  This was a newsworthy and controversial episode of IMPACT and we hold nothing back.  This is a really fun review, which always descends into chaos, mayhem and jokes about Garrett Bischoff.

They wrap the show up with the RAW review.  So it's more greatness from CM Punk and Brock Lesnar, a weird but effective promo by John Cena and that was really about it.  So MFX fill the time with the usual Ryback and Nee Nor tomfoolery.  The HHH/Brad Maddox/Gameboy saga continues.  There's some reality TV stars to make fun and a ton more.

Sir Ian was really ill this week and he manned up to record MFX, so be sure to send him your best wishes and laugh along as MFX tear up the week in WWE and TNA in the only way they know how.

Thanks for listening and be sure to get involved in next week's show through all the usual channels.

Its like you knew I was going to be away from my computer on the usual MFX day and decided you didn't want to make me wait.

You guys just made a pretty good day (what with this being my last day of work for a week) an awesome one

Anything we can do to make life better for you guys!

Sir Ian was 12 hours removed from being in hospital and he stepped up to do the show.  Legend!

Would love to hear more feedback on the show from you guys.

Cheers!

Really appreciated the shout-out, guys. Alana thought it was real sweet (stay AWAY, Ian!).

That first hour and change was the best part of the show. Going from personal anecdotes to listener acknowledgement to insight into TNMMA sounds like it could get clunky, but it was seamless and just flew by.

I'm a Machine Gun mark like no other, but even I saw that Sabin vignette and literally said out loud, "That's a fucking ruler award, right there.' Good to hear you were in agreement.

Great discussion about Impact's ending -- spot-on with the absurdity of it all

Raw discussion was okay, but you work with what you've got, I guess. Practically did a spit-take when I heard the phrase, "Dr. Dre meets Foghorn Leghorn." just brilliant.

With all these characters, pleeeeease let me help with or record a  future commercial or holiday skit. I've got ideas like Sunny's got issues.

Just finished listening to this week's show, great stuff as always. The thought of all these characters popping up on Twitter scares me...apparently "Cool Dude Kofi" just popped up as well.

Good times.

You're right, Jesus is nicer. But Alex is a close second.

By the way, whatever y'all did to fix the quality of the "Try-Hard" jingle, thank you. That shit bothered me for weeks. :)

another great show as always, same with last weeks and I'm with Alex K. on all the twitters being made based on characters from the show it's getting kinda scary seeing how many they are now but on the positive it shows how popular the show is getting.

Now if you excuse me I now got to get the Try hard ruler of the week song out of my head.

Duckman

Thanks for the kind words guys.  We're really glad you're enjoying the show this week.  It was a labour of love for Ian to get it done but we didn't miss a beat!

The more feedback we get, the better!  Helps us know what's working and what's not and also gives us something to chat about during the show opening.

Marc - if you want to do anything for the show, just email me mate and let me know.  Sure we can work something out!

The twitter account thing is getting crazy.  I love it.  It's just awesome to see that segments or characters on the show are popular enough that people are making Twitter accounts for them!

Now, if only Gary would reply to my emails and tweets and we might be able to get some merch sorted out for you guys to buy!

The 'Boo Me, I'm Mean' t-shirt idea seems popular!

Thanks for the support guys, we really appreciate it.

Cheers,
Duckman

Just a heads up guys - MFX57 won't be up until Thursday evening.

Last couple of shows have been up crazy early, didn't want to get anyone's hopes up that this week would be the same.

There's the small matter of England vs. Scotland in the football on Wednesday at Wembley (which one half of the MFX podcast is going too - not this half!) which means we need to push the RAW recording back a night.

Although as a bonus, you can hear us bicker about the game before the RAW review!

Show opening and IMPACT review are all ready recorded, so Thursday's posting shouldn't be too late.

Cheers,
Duckman

MFX58 – Bye Bye Brick Hogan, Our Guy.

We thought when TNA let DOC go that 40% of our jokes on the IMPACT review had gone.  Well, say goodbye to the other 60% because TNA released Brick Hogan.  What a tragedy.  In honour of Brick's memory, every song on the show this week will be in tribute to Brick.  She's gone, but never forgotten.

It's MFX58 folks and while our hearts may be broken at the loss of Brick, there's still plenty to love about MFX this week.  Join your heroes as they traverse the week in WWE and TNA as only they can.

We've got full reviews of TNA Hardcore Justice, Summerslam and RAW.

This show is long, funny, insightful and needs to be in your life NOW!!

I can't believe I somehow forgot about drunken Kurt Angle in last week's feedback! He was hilarious then and is just as hilarious this week. And loving Man-Child Chris Sabin as well. And definitely digging the way Nee Nor is slowly starting to break away from Rybitch and become his own character (as well as Rybitch trying to find a replacement imaginary friend - that shit is gold)

Great show as always guys. You didn't quite keep me up til 5AM this time, but it was a near run thing
