This is way off topic.  But I'm reading some leaked Wal-Mart management anti-union scripts.  And for some reason, I'm reading them in Boring Kane and Brick Hogan voices.

QuoteFemale Associate: Hey I have a quick question for you

Male Associate: Sure

Female Associate: Hey I was talking to one of the guys in my area and they told me that we could get an automatic increase in pay if we got a union in the store. Is that true?

Male Associate: Hmm, well that's a good question LaTonya, and thanks for asking, but you know our company doesn't feel that associates should have to spend their hard earned money to have someone represent them and neither do I. But to answer your question, through the collective bargaining process, there's no telling what they will end up with. They can end up with more, the same or even less.

Female Associate: Hmm you gave me a lot to think about I appreciate it. Thank you

Male Associate: You're welcome

Quote

Female Associate: Hey Steve, I've been thinking, if a union were to get in to Walmart, things really would not be that bad.

Steve: Here's the thing about unions Jenny, there really are no guarantees. I remember when I was a kid my dad was part of the auto workers and they went on strike for 6 months and he had to walk a picket line that whole time. I would hate to see that happen to anybody here in our club.

Female Associate: Wow thank you Steve

    Steve: You bet!!

Quote

First Female Associate: I'm just not really sure about all this union stuff, what would you do Susan?

Susan: Well thank you for asking, and you know Walmart doesn't feel like you need a union to speak for you and neither do I. I feel like we work well together and a union would only hinder our ability to communicate with one another. I like the Walmart Open Door Policy where we can communicate openly with our associates, kind of like we are doing right now.

First Female Associate: That's true we can, it's kind of nice to be able to do that.

    Susan: Yeah

Happy Thursday everyone!  It's time for another shot of tremendous wrestling related podcasting.  That's right, MFX74 the RAW Edition is here!  Join your heroes Duckman and Sir Ian Trumps as they traverse the week in WWE and life in general.

On the show this week...

Duckman decides to host the show after drinking a bottle of red wine and somehow everything doesn't fall apart.  There's chat about Sir Ian meeting an old colleague, riots outside a pound saver shop, all your feedback is discussed which includes the award of a new 'friend of the show' nickname, WWE Hall of Fame chat, an in-depth discussion about ECW's TV show which will be appearing on the WWE Network and the lads enjoy the potential of a Jake Roberts vs. Ultimate Warrior twitter war.

Then it's on to the RAW review for this week.  It's the go-home show for the Royal Rumble and the lads enjoyed the show a lot.  Batista makes his return, Brock Lesnar does everything he can to make Big Show look credible, everyone seems really aggressive and even the slightly rubbish end wasn't that bad.  Although Sir Ian being sexually intimidated by Stephanie McMahon does distract him a lot during the show.  Another fun RAW review as only MFX can do.

As always, thanks for listening and be sure to get involved in future shows through all the usual channels.

The mystery TNA investor signs "The Wolves" as his first team?

It's Wolfie isn't it.

Marq

Two words.

"Sex gills."

I lost my shit on the subway when I heard that line.
"Behind you, Primo! WATCH OUT!"

Duckman

Ah yes, Batista and his sex gills.  Fuck knows where that came from (probably the red wine) but I'm glad it hit your funny bone full on!

We guys know we live for your feedback (and ego stroking praise) so if you've got some for this show, or indeed the IMPACT show we posted earlier in the week, we'd love to hear from you.

Cheers!

Alright, since I watch maybe 4 ppvs a year (Summerslam, TLC/Chamber, Rumble, Mania) I was excited to catch the rumble last night. A bunch of my buddies who all havent been into wrestling since the attitude era watched it. Now pre-show we watched the last Raw before the Rumble to try and grasp some of the storylines going into this. Bryan/Wyatt, Show/Lesnar we got, Orton/Cena looked like a lame attempt to water down an attitude era like angle, no one was feeling it.

So, Rumble time.

Bryan/Wyatt was insane, and even in January has a chance to get match of the year. There was 6 of us, and 4 had no idea what a performer Bryan was, and by the end of the match they had nothing else but to say that he was a good wrestler, and that Wyatt has a crazy gimmick and can work a good match. My thoughts exactly. I think Wyatt will be a guy who will perform up to his opponent, so give him a Bryan/Punk/Ziggler worker, hell have classics, give him a Cena/Orton he'll look unimpressive. 5/5 This match got the show off on the right foot, and we all thought shit, PPV of the year here if this is the beginning and we still get Lesnar and the rumble right?

Lesnar/Big Show, what a fucking let down. Honestly, they couldnt have done this all at a Raw or something? This had weekly show bit covered all over it, not for the arguably the second biggest PPV of the year. It wasnt that bad, but any time Lesnar is in the ring ON A PPV, he shouldnt kill a crowd off. They had all the momentum from Bryan/Wyatt, and if you woulda let them have an old school Show/Lesnar match, they could have kept the crowd up to give Cena/Orton a chance....but that didnt happen. The match made its point, it helped Lesnars character a bit, but definitely wreaked of a Raw segement where behind the scene, Show got arrested and you needed to get him off the camera for a while.....2.5/5

Cena/Orton....yeah, everyone knew this was gonna suck....and it sucked. Predictable, crowd reaction was the only exciting thing about this. A shame, because say if Bryan was getting a push, he actually could have GOOD matches with Orton, and if you had to....Bryan could be putting Orton over big time if he was in that picture. But yeah, this match was very bad, looked like the other 20 Orton/Cena PPV matches that we've seen over the last 3 years. 2/5

RUMBLE TIME!

Im gonna start out by saying that midget bull was the biggest pop at my house for this match. No idea who or what he is, but hes fucking sick. Didnt mind Nash being there either, he got a decent pop....not as big as last yr when he came back as Diesel, but man....HHH's backstage pull is crazy...all his buddies getting pushed. We all popped when JBL had to go....didn't know he was gonna do THAT. Was hoping for a closeline from hell or something.  I called it after the number got into the 20s that Bryan wasn't going to be in the rumble....if he was he'd need a low number to build some adversity.....you're not gonna hand the biggest underdog a favorable number in the match.

Reigns looked good, Batista looked blown up....and sick MMA gear, Lesnar isnt that gimmick or anything....and he had one fight against a massively out of shape Hawaiian dude.....ugh. Anyways, when Rey came out at 30 and got all the Boos I liked it....i HATE Mysterio so I enjoyed that, but fuck. No Bryan.....unless they can spin their way out of this on RAW, I think their going to have a road filled with every other crowd on the 'Road to Wrestlemania' booing the shit and runing segments with YES and DANIEL BRYAN chants.....and rightfully so. Rumble gets a 2/5

seriously the show outside of Wyatt vs Bryan was painful, I rather watch The Room, Manos The Hands of Fate, and every WWE film for 48 hours straight with the only breaks being forced to sit through 20 minutes of Chyna's porn films then sit through that abomination of a PPV.

Honestly this PPV makes you wonder what they were thinking, i mean if your going to try and get more money for your shows and launch a new network that your asking people to pay for then why go against what you know people want? I mean instead of doing what they know fan's want to see like say at least having Daniel Bryan the most over person they have right now in the Rumble, constantly putting on matches that no one cares for like Cena Vs Orton and then have a guy who isn't that over anymore win the whole thing resulting in him getting such a shit reaction that he actually starting getting confrontational with fans and then flipped them off, instead they are going to ignore them the people who's money there wanting to buy their PPV's, get the merchandise, pay for their new Network, tune into their shows so they can get the same or more money  for the broadcasting rights and all that and instead tell them who they should want and then wonder why things are not going well.

seriously I didn't pay a dime for the show and I still felt ripped off

There is just so much I want to say about this and the state of WWE in general but I can't think straight thanks to having to get up at 3:30 in the morning on sunday for work which was a nightmare in of itself since it was a mess(what can I say I work with morons) and then sitting down to watch this mess and being reminded why I stopped watching "mainstream" wrestling again just put me in a nice state of being exhausted and just pissed off that is making it hard to think straight(more so due to the said exhaustion)

We know how it is - you're all depressed after the Royal Rumble.  It's the end of the world as you know it.  It's time to give up on wrestling forever.  Come on, you know you say that after every terrible WWE or TNA PPV.  Here's something that'll cheer you up – it's time for your first slice of MFX goodness of the week, it's time for MFX75 IMPACT Edition.  Join your heroes Duckman and Sir Ian as they traverse the week in TNA and life in general.

On the show this week...

The usual random chatter for the opening part of the show is all about Duckman's new celebrity crush, Sir Ian watches Benefits Street (which ends up with another MFX discussion about the welfare state in the UK), plus there's all your feedback to last week's show, which is highlighted by Drunk Goldferg.  The opening part of the show is wrapped up with tons of TNA related chat including: rumours of Vince Russo's return to TNA, a recent AJ Styles interview and Sir Ian tries to rally the MFX Galaxy to send Duckman to TNA's Lockdown PPV.

Then it's on to a review of Genesis part 2.  Logic holes abound, Rockstar Spud rocks, Samoa Joe gets his aggression back and we all say a sad and incredibly overbooked goodbye to Sting.  Plus the lads get into an in-depth and somewhat interesting (we only said somewhat) discussion on the over reliance of authority figures in wrestling.  It's another fun MFX review of a terrible TNA show.

As always, thanks for listening and be sure to get involved with the show through all the usual channels.

The TeeJ of Philly

Bray/Bryan, wow. Really great match, I think both guys came out looking great, we got to see Bray the way they're trying to portray him, a ruthless, crazed man. He's got that unorthodox offense that fits such a character. They need to have the shotgun mics on all the time when he's in, plain simple. I disagree with Cory's assessment of Bray, he's a good worker, period (as is Cena, he had a great match with Khali...). I was watching the event with some friends that are more mark than smark and they were going "I don't even care who wins, Bray is great" and that Sister Abigail into the barricade, holy crap.

I do agree with Cory on Brock and Show, what they did could have been done on RAW. This is the second time Brock has been in a match that has killed a crowd but I can't blame him nor Show nor WWE, DB and Bray stole the whole event from the get-go.

"RANDY'S AVERAGE!" That's what i heard from the crowd, not Savage. Which I think Randy got too. Not their worst match, but I saw this coming, each of them stealing the others finishers, they had it, it was the only thing they haven't done. I didn't see Bray getting involved, figured he'd do it on RAW some how at risk of over exposing Bray in the night, but was happy to see.

The rumble itself wasn't bad. I didn't expect to see DB, and apparently, I was the only one who didn't. The man had a concussion two weeks prior and even if he was going to be #30, it's a risk pulling double duty (Which no one did at all). Oh and seeing how they probably were after Batista to come back since the Authority began, I figured headlining mania would be a pre-req of his.

I loved the Kofi stuff, loved the short lived Wyatt Fam/Shield staredown. I loved the rumble match itself. I was entertained, maybe if I was like every other fan who expected a concussed man to pull double duty when no one else had done so that night, I may have been upset, but I wasn't. I enjoyed what they gave me, even if it wasn't exactly what I wanted. I've been preaching patience with DB for awhile, why? Because the more they don't give us DB, the more heat The Authority has. It's smart booking imo.

And I know you didn't ask for it, but EC will be interesting, Brock is next in line apparently, but there's only one title. My bet, and I was thinking this on Saturday, that Sheamus/DB match is just dirtsheet filler. Randy vs Batista is practically heel vs heel because Batista will turn the fans against him because he's gonna be himself, which is a douche. They've gotta get DB in there somehow.

Rob

The Rhodes brothers pulled double duty...

I guess it doesn't matter when you're only on the pre-show

nice more MFX goodness to wash the awful taste of WWEtardedness out of my mouth, I wonder if Brad Maddox ever does the same when he needs to get the taste of HHH out of his mouth? why did I even type that, good lord I need sleep, but anyway in my defense I actually had stopped watching wrestling a month after Summer Slam and the rumble was the first thing I watched mainstream wise anyway since I went cold turkey, tried the patch but it didn't work, and only because my buddy Mike and his wife ordered it and had a get together with the whole crew and my wife insisted we go since it's been ages since we(the missus and I along with the whole crew) all hung out.

still felt ripped off though, but hey if people need help quitting wrestling then maybe they should try DDP yoga I mean look what it did for Jake.

I didn't watch much, but my favorite part of last night's "Raw?" The opening segment, watching Seth Rollins wipe the fuck out when he hopped the barricade during the Shield's entrance. Poor guy. He looked like the physical manifestation of "Benefits Street."
"Behind you, Primo! WATCH OUT!"
