In other news, it's now 39 days until I'm home, which is very exciting. I've never been at work for so long to make the prospect of going home so exciting!

Also, tax days. If I spend 183 days out of the UK within a period of 1 year I get all the tax I've paid on my wages refunded to me. I'll end this trip with 113 days, so fingers crossed my next trip is far afield too!

Great news Doug!  Congrats to you both!

Good stuff too Dorling, coming home after a long trip away like that is a great feeling.  Actually makes you realise that home isn't that bad after all!  And good work on the tax deal - just don't let Red Ed hear about it, he hates you rich tax dodgers!! :)

Yeah moving to an IT company that specialises in pharmacy systems. Still hospital based some of the time and the rest I will be working from home. So get to use my knowledge in a whole new environment

I'm today off for the 4 day LARP event I brought up on MFX a few months ago. I have my costume, my chainmail, my spear & swords... and 9 bottles of mead :)

Going to Country in the Park Saturday with one of my teacher co-workers. I'm also planning to go to Anaheim with her and her daughter for an Angels/Diamondbacks game and a trip to Disneyland as well as go to San Diego in August for the Cowboys/Chargers preseason game.

Though i do recommend seeing the world of color show if you pit stop by california adventure
