War Machine is CRAZY!

War Machine, the former Jon Koppenhaver who took War Machine as his legal name when TNA attempted to get him to stop using it since they were using it as a nickname for Rhino, ended up getting into a fight at around midnight at the Ultimate Porn Studios in Van Nuys, CA, at a birthday party for porn star Brooke Haven.

Machine, 28, was fired last year by UFC after first getting into trouble for a series of crazy web site posts, and was then fired after turning down a proposed fight. He was signed by Bellator, but they dropped him after he made web site comments advocating killing Barack Obama. He had just started in the porn industry and filmed his first scene on 10/31. He came to the party with girlfriend Alanah Rae, also a porn star.

According to reports, the altercation started when Machine lost his temper and smacked his girlfriend, and then dragged her outside. Several people from the party tried to stop him from beating on his girlfriend, and in the process, he laid out eight people. Rae later told porn web site terezowens.com that Machine hit her in the face, and he went on to pummel “almost a dozen” dudes including his own agent, Derek Hay, who had to be hospitalized after being knocked out. Rae later in the day claimed Machine never hit her.

Alec Knight, who was knocked out in trying to calm War Machine down, wrote on his twitter, “Morning all. Had an interesting night. Not sure what happened, was having fun at a party next thing I remember I’m in an ambulance. I’m ok. Just have to take it easy for a few days. Got a few staples in my head, but I’m going to be ok. I got hit in the noggin. Then my noggin hit the ground.”

Another person said that everyone who tried to calm Machine down ended up getting punched.

Machine posted on his Twitter: “Fuck...last night was NOT good...lil’ misunderstanding and then WM was back in effect and the bodies hit the floor...I’m fucked...Pretty sure my porn days are over. Prolly going to jail too...when they find me..haha!”

Later he wrote, “Y’all can say what you want but when you got 5 guys drunk and in your face pissed about some BS that ain’t even true what am I supposed to do? Wait and let someone crack me first? Lol...I think not. Fuck all you fucks.”

A first-hand report we got said, “He (War Machine) was invited and was being normal and cool...Something happened with him and another porn chick (believed to be the girl he’s dating) and all hell broke loose.

He snapped (roid rage) and broke one guy’s nose, knocked out another guy’s tooth, and knocked out another guy who had to be taken to the hospital.

Police and paramedics were called.. . War Machine was able to get away before the cops arrived. . .He has since been taken off his agents’ site and needless to say his career in porn may be no more.”

Another live report on a porn web site from a guy using a gimmick name said, “When I got out there, about five people were trying to calm War Machine down. No one was threatening him in any way, just saying things like, `no one wants any trouble.’ `Let’s calm down here.’ . . War Machine was walking back-and-forth with his fists clenched. Then he suddenly started hitting everyone around him. Most of the people he hit were just standing around, not really part of the action. War Machine ran up and hit Glen in the jaw. Then he ran around attacking anyone he could see. He was chasing Derek (his agent) and Josh Hunter tried to step in and calm him down, and he hit Josh. Then he tracked down Derek and knocked him down.

I did not see War Machine hit Alanah so I can’t speculate on that one. I’m not sure exactly how it started. War Machine was being very aggressive with the women at the party and someone may have said something. . .Alec Knight went to the hospital. Danny from Wanted List has a broken nose. The ones I know of are Josh, Derek, Alec Danny, Glen (a porn star who was also celebrating his birthday at the party) and there was one other guy who wants to remain anonymous. He probably hit another 3-4. Derek is not in the hospital.

Alec was just a bystander who got hit for no reason. Then he hit the ground and gashed his head open. . .Josh Hunter was the only one I saw get shots back at War Machine. Derek may have gotten a couple in. The rest were War Machine hitting and then moving on.

People are definitely pressing charges. There were a lot of witnesses. We all gave our info to the police. It was not self defense.”

Machine was on probation stemming from a September 2, 2007, incident in Las Vegas, where he was outside a gym with his shirt off and some guys walking past cat called him, and he punched a guy and choked him out, and was sentenced to three years probation.

On 11/30, he was the subject of a feature on KVBC-TV in Las Vegas for its “Manhunt Monday” segment. The piece said, “A man who trained to use choke holds in the fighting ring is accused of beating and choking his girlfriend. According to Metro (police), 28-year-old Jonathan Koppenhaver got into a violent fight with his girlfriend and attempted to strangle her. He also has a record that includes obstructing a police officer and possession of a stolen firearm. Koppenhaver is a white adult male standing 5-11 and weighting 185 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. His last known address was in the 5000 block of West Hacienda in Las Vegas. Koppenhaver goes by the names War Machine and War Hammer, and also has a very distinctive hand grenade tattoo on the left side of the neck. Metro says Koppenhaver should be considered armed and dangerous.”

All I can say is, wow!  Dude sounds insane!

Have to say, when he's as dangerously trained as he is he should definitely let them get the first shot in.  There's no way he's going to convince any one that any one there actually posed a legitimate threat to him.

UFC made a good call getting rid of him when they did.  This is one mess they don't have to try to clean up.

First I need to say he was wrong in every way on this. 

Second, just because you train, doesn't mean you cannot be hurt by someone punching you first.  Sometimes you have to take that first shot.
