I don't think anyone is saying TNA is Cody's only option.

Glad he's there though. Even if it's short term, TNA is a place more willing to expose his highest potential like they did with Christian

He may be able to work other dates, but again, no one held a gun to his head to work at TNA. He CHOSE to work there. Even if it's short term, he chose to. The fact that he's also working with ROH shows that he REALLY didn't NEED to work at TNA and chose to. It's not like this was his only option.
You're trying to use him working there as some kind of excuse for them though. Like he went there because they're this amazing upcoming company that is about to take the World by storm. There's a reason why he signed a non exclusive short term deal. They obviously have some talent that he wants to work with, but he doesn't want to be anchored down to what is certainly a sinking ship.

He chose TNA/ROH because he's not Stardust, not because of the companies. Let's be real. If Vince or HHH call him tomorrow and want him back as Cody then he's on the red eye tonight....

Exactly. If TNA would have wanted him to do the whole face paint, bodysuit, acting weird, talking about the stars bullshit, he would have told them to fuck off. He left WWE because creative didn't give a shit about him, and he was forced to keep doing the Stardust stuff even though it had clearly run it's course. He left, worked for multiple indy companies, did a guest spot on Arrow, and then joined TNA.

TNA main issue never really been product , quite frankly there where times where they have some of the best in ring matches and great talent roster. Than  there have been times where they product was crap and hard ,  very hard to watch.  Real issue with TNA has been the mismanagement of the business side of things for them.  The hiring of Russo , The hiring of Hogan and Bisseoff , they need to  try to do the same thing wwe was doing, rehash something we already seen  , The awful attempt at trying to re-create the Monday night wars,  the mistreatment of talent , the awful waste of  money. The jumping of Networks ...  I mean I can go on and on.

TNA has been leaking for a long time , there like a cockroach in some ways,  you step on them , you think there dead, you go get a tissue and some how the damn thing is alive . some how they same to stay afloat when they have no business doing that. But it same like there luck is going to run out sooner than later.  Again at the moment has nothing to do with product. The people running it does not have a clue how to run a business right.
Not just that, it seems at least according to court filings that Dixie and co have engaged in some very shady business practices which is biting them in the ass now.like withholding taxes out of wages but not actually paying the taxes, working investors with false promises to keep money coming in, making false promises in TV deal negotiations, etc. It's a mess.

Even the deals with Corgan regarding his investments sounded very dodgy and the start of the court case was essentially because Corgan called them on their bs.

Another nail in the coffin - from Wrestling Observer:

TNA was dealt a fairly significant blow on Tuesday morning as the company's television partner in the United Kingdom, Challenge TV, announced that they would no longer be carrying Impact Wrestling starting in the beginning of next year.

Challenge's statement: "We know that many TNA fans will be disappointed to hear this, but we wanted to let you all know that as of January 2017, Challenge will no longer be the home of TNA in the UK. TNA has been a huge and important part of Challenge's story over the years and we will treasure some great moments like the British Bootcamp and UK tours. We have been proud to bring UK viewers coverage of TNA and have huge respect for the company and its fans. TNA is packed with great talent and we know they will continue to do great things -- we wish them all the best."

Largely due to their TV deals, the UK has been one of the best markets globally for TNA. The promotion has regularly run tours of the UK in front of some of their best crowds of the year, but they haven't yet announced a tour for 2017.

TNA responded to the news on Tuesday with a statement of their own on the company's Facebook page. In the statement, TNA mentioned spoilers as a reason that they would no longer be airing on Challenge and said that they are looking forward to announcing a new opportunity soon that will allow them to air Impact closer to when the show is broadcast in the United States.

Of course, even the US broadcast of Impact airs on a delay as the company tapes the show in blocks.

TNA's statement is available below:

"We are proud to have had such a great relationship with Challenge, and appreciate how the channel brought Impact Wrestling to our avid viewers through the years. In today's world, spoilers are inevitable. We've heard from the amazing fans in the UK and know you do not want to wait 3-5 days to watch the program after it airs in the US."

"Our goal is to broadcast Impact Wrestling in the UK as close to the US premiere as possible. We look forward to announcing that opportunity soon, so stay tuned. In the meantime, we hope you continue to watch Impact Wrestling on Challenge, Sunday nights at 9pm, as well as Xplosion and pay-per-views and follow us on social media. Thank you."

TNA's pathetic attempt to spin this in their statement is hilarious.  We don't want to be on Challenge anymore because the show airs a few days after it airs in the US and we don't want spoilers.  Even though they tape MONTHS of TV in advance, spoilers of which are all over the place...

If they do get another TV deal over here, I can't see it paying anything near what Challenge did.  Especially as the ratings in the UK have been dropping like a stone for months.

So I seen. It's insane how much shady shit was going on behind the scenes.

TNA management are a disgrace. More and more industry professionals have been getting behind Corgan because Carter and Co are stupid beyond belief. I hope Corgan takes the 36% ownership which is available to him instead of getting paid out which is the current offer. I think he will as well as judging by his lawyers words Corgan will continue to push for ownership by legal efforts.

Billy Corgan, the Smashing Pumpkins frontman and tea house proprietor, lost his lawsuit against TNA Wrestling Monday.

Corgan, who was named president of the Nashville-based wrestling promotion last year, had also served as senior producer of creative and talent development since spring 2015.

In his suit, Corgan claimed he was to take over outgoing president Dixie Carter's voting rights should TNA became "fiscally insolvent."  Corgan claimed he had given three loans to the company, meaning he'd nabbed Carter's 92.5 percent voting rights.

TNA Wrestling's attorney argued "lucrative offers" have been made for the company, run by Impact Ventures, effectively putting the company in the black and not in the red as Corgan argued.

The judge, Chancellor Ellen Hobbs Lyle of Part III of the Chancery Court of Davidson County, rejected Corgan's claims to Carter's voting rights, but did expedite the ruling as to not effect the repayment of the loans which are due today.

Corgan sent out numerous tweets yesterday saying he's not disappointed by the ruling, but grateful the judge considered the case.

I watched Total Nonstop Deletion earlier today. It was crazy and ridiculous, and a little bit stupid, but so much fun to watch.
