I can barely contain myself. They announced the iPhone 5, a new iPod nano and touch, and a revamped iTunes as the main attractions of a pretty hefty press conference.

iPhone 5:

Highlights:
- 4 inch Retina display (better resolution than HD)
- LTE (Ultrafast wireless)
- A6 Chip (faster processing without too much strain on the battery)
- 3 microphones: front, back, bottom
- iSight camera on the back, FaceTime HD camera on the front

iPod nano:

Highlights:
- Revamped design, making the nano look like the little brother of the touch
- 2.5 inch multi-touch screen (widescreen)
- Nike+, pedometer built in
- FM radio with live pause
- Separate icon for podcasts (i.e. EFK, MFX, AOW, etc.)
- Bluetooth 4.0 built in (for speakers, headphones, and car audio)

- Superthin aluminum body, multiple color choices, iPod touch loop (wristband)
- 4-inch Retina display
- iSight camera (including LED flash!) on the back, improved FaceTime camera on the front

Also announced is a revamped earbud headphone called EarPods, made to fit (and stay) in a variety of ear shapes and sizes. Which hopefully means they'll fit in mine, lol. The new iPhone, iPod touch and nano all include a new kind of connector called Lightning.

It's funny though how Apple has a tight grip on its consumers.  They hype up these launches of new products all the time and in the end there is really nothing so new and great about the product, yet the lines in front of the stores are ridiculously long. BLACKBERRY FOR LIFE!!

Oh, I'll be honest.  I've been tempted to buy some kind of iPod over the years, but my Sony Walkman works just fine and was a quarter of the price.

I'll gladly buy the iPhone 5.. but as usual I'll wait till my contract is up, don't have to wait in line like a moron for something thats gonna be there 2 months down the line.
