Have You Ever Thought Back On A Betrayal?

Have you ever been betrayed by someone close to you like a friend or loved one and later thought back on it and realized that maybe you caused or contributed to that betrayal in some way?

Such as

1.   Intentionally or unintentionally disrespecting the person on a repeated basis.
2.    Taking the person and their relationship with you for granted.
3.   Doing something to them where they felt like you betrayed them to some extent and their betrayal of you was merely them gaining some measure of revenge.

Etc.

I find that some people really get angry when you imply if not outright state that they lack sense and judgment even going as far as to compare them to someone whose done time in prison because of lacking these things just because they (The person being compared) made some questionable mistakes in the past.  Nothing that was against the law or could lead them to time in prison mind you, but most people hate being compared to criminals especially dumb criminals.
