NFL Debate #21: "Are Vetran FA's Asking too much?"

When Brian Urlacher retired this season after testing free agency and not getting pick up, it kinda made me scratch my head. Theres a part of me that believes he didnt want to play anywhere else but Chicago....but another that thinks no one was willing to pay his price.

I think teams dont value veterans as much as they should anymore.

John Abraham is still out there, Kerry Rhodes, Richard Seymour, are many who are suffering this offseason.

It depends.  When a FA, such as Abraham, is in the latter part of their careers you can't ask for too much.  Sure, you used to a sack machine, a yard gobbler, a stickied hand receiver, etc. but all that was done in your hayday.  I think it's a pride thing that gets in a guy's way.  Now say if, Calvin Johnson or AP became a FA, then yeah they should ask for the world.
