Looking back, the throw wouldn't have been a bad option had he thrown it to the receiver and not over the receivers shoulder. Hit him in the stomach or chest and it could be a whole different discussion right now. (I know he was slanting in, but the throw seemed a bit off)

Still, what's done is done.

The Seahawks get to think about how the messed up their chance at repeating, Marshawn Lynch gets to wonder if he should return to Seattle, and the Patriots get to think about how lucky they are to have won the Superbowl (I'm probably being optimistic that the Seahawks would have scored there, but the look on Brady's face when they intercepted it, makes me believe they already thought they had lost the game).

T-Bonizzle

The look on Brady's face because of a THIRD improbable catch beating him in the Superbowl.

If the 'Hawks had pulled it off, Kearse would have gone up on the hit list with Tyree and Manningham.

Police: Ex-NFL star Warren Sapp arrested on soliciting prostitution charge

http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/02/us/warren-sapp-arrest/index.html

Quote(CNN)Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp was arrested and charged with soliciting a prostitute early Monday, just hours after covering the Super Bowl for the NFL Network, Phoenix police said.

Police said officers working security at a downtown Phoenix hotel were contacted around 2:30 a.m. by a woman who alleged that an argument over money in a guest room "turned physical, spilling out into the hallway," She was one of two women acting as escorts, according to a news release from Phoenix police.

"During the investigation, detectives were able to establish that act of prostitution occurred in the room by at least one of the females," Phoenix police spokesman Trent Crump said in the news release.

Sapp, 42, was booked on charges of soliciting a prostitute and two counts of assault, both misdemeanor offenses.

When he was questioned by police, Sapp "admitted involvement in the act of prostitution, but denied assaulting the females," Crump said. "Minor injuries consistent with a struggle were observed by investigators on both females."

Sapp made an initial court appearance Monday afternoon and was released on his own recognizance. His next court appearance was set for February 23.

Sapp, who was the 12th overall draft pick in 1995 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was known as a menacing defensive tackle and was the stalwart on a defense that earned the Buccaneers their first Super Bowl in 2002. Over his career, he earned seven trips to the Pro Bowl and was voted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2013.

Shortly after news of Sapp's arrest broke, the NFL Network said Sapp had been fired. He worked for the network as an analyst since 2008.

"Warren Sapp's contract has been terminated and he no longer works for NFL Network," said a statement from Alex Riethmiller, vice president/communications for the NFL Network.

James, everytime you post in the OOC your perception of "yourself" is just as apparently off key 'in game' as GM Franchise as it is 'out of game' as yourself lol.

Sherman to have surgery; Thomas getting 2nd opinion

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000467799/article/sherman-to-have-surgery-thomas-getting-2nd-opinion

QuotePete Carroll said Monday that Richard Sherman's injured left elbow will require Tommy John surgery.

The Seattle Seahawks' corner suffered ulnar nerve damage after being hit in the second half of the NFC Championship by teammate Kam Chancellor.

Sherman played the Super Bowl with the injury. He ended the game with three tackles.

The surgery, most common among baseball pitchers, shouldn't be a long-term problem for Sherman -- who doesn't make a living throwing a ball. However, the rehab could be a grueling process.

Chancellor might also need surgery after injuring his knee in Super Bowl practice, Carroll said.

Carroll added that corner Jeremy Lane suffered a "significant" broken arm, which caused him to miss three-plus quarters of Sunday's game after the third-year player picked off Tom Brady. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport later reported that Lane has a compound fracture, both broken wrist bones. The first-quarter injury proved to be big as the Pats picked on Lane's replacement Tharold Simon. Lane will need offseason surgery.

Rapoport reported Monday that star safety Earl Thomas will seek a second opinion on the shoulder injury, which he suffered during the NFC Championship Game. The expectation, however, is that Thomas will need surgery.

The Seahawks' secondary will not only lick its emotional wounds after the Super Bowl loss, but their plethora of physical wounds as well this offseason.

Report: Dick LeBeau to join Tennessee Titans staff

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000468067/article/report-dick-lebeau-to-join-tennessee-titans-staff

QuoteAfter 13 seasons as Pittsburgh Steelers defensive coordinator, legendary coach Dick LeBeau has found a new home in Nashville.

LeBeau is expected to be named assistant head coach/defense of the Tennessee Titans, reports Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.

The 77-year-old Hall of Famer teamed with Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt as well as defensive coordinator Ray Horton for multiple seasons in Pittsburgh last decade.

Although Horton will retain his title, LeBeau will oversee the defense, per Wyatt. That arrangement should be familiar to both coaches. Horton was LeBeau's right-hand man as secondary coach from 2004-2010.

The Titans have added impressive brainpower on the defensive side of the ball. Now they need to upgrade the talent level.
