With Konami going to great lengths to wipe out all it's previous history in the arcade and console gaming market as it shifts focus into gambling and mobile games which is silly since outside of japan mobile gaming is looking like it's heading towards a crash circa 1983-84 with the market flooded with cheap clones, horrid pay to win models, excessive micro-transactions, ect. with no real oversite from Apple or Google. Hell the Andorid gaming market is all but dead now thanks to rampant piracy and AAA developers and publishers cite PC as the home of rampant piracy.

Anyway  one of the men who helped build Konami in it's heydays Koji Igarashi took to Kikstarter to help fund his new spiritual successor to Castlevania: Symphony of the night after hearing the same song and dance most people in the business here "there is no market for this type of game, gamers are not intrested" and true to fashion Gamers again just like with Double Fine's Broken Age, Mighty No. 9(the spiritual sucessor to Mega Man) and Shroud of the Avatar(the Spiritual successor to the first MMO Ultima Online)  proved that there was a interest as his new project Bloodstained reached over 2 million dollars out of a goal of 500,000  in just two days.
