Terraria 1.3 content update released(PC), Mac and Linux version inbound

after close to a year of work. Re-logic has released their much hyped 1.3 content update to Terraria which is the largest update released in the games 4 year life. Adds 800+ new items, new NPCs, gives the NPCs the ability to defend themselves when attacked, expands on existing biomes, adds some new sub biomes, new bosses as well as the much anticipated "lunar event" which is a chain of events which will trigger the games final boss.

Oh and no, that fire spewing thing in the trailer is NOT the final boss but I can say it is tied to summoning the last boss.

Also Re-logic has stated that the much rumored Mac and Linux versions of Terraria are currently slated for release this month.
