Got it for PS4. Sitting around waiting for my next deployment so have sunk several hours into it the last couple of days.

Really enjoy it. Very relaxing as a game. Unlike anything else I've ever played.

How much does the survival aspect play into it? The exploration looks fantastic but I don't want to have to keep interrupting exploring to collect (random crafting material here). I suppose this might change from planet to planet?

Definitely changes from planet to planet. Some planets you can explore for hours, as the climate, sentinels and animals are pretty passive.

Others are highly hot/cold, irradiated or toxic, which can slow you down a bit. Especially if there are storms. It's all about being prepared. Stock up while you can. Main elements are carbon and plutonium - they supply the power to your equipment for the most part, and they are normally pretty easy to get hold of.

It's a great game and I've really enjoyed it the last couple of days.

Also, is it PS4 only? That would suck.

It's a space exploration game. Procedurally generated planets and star systems. Loose story thread where you're aiming to get to the centre of the Universe. Massive scale.

There are some survival elements to it, and different planets and moons present different challenges to overcome. You also interact and trade with different alien races, who you learn more about as you travel.

It comes out for PC today, but not on XBox.

Hmm. Sounds interesting. If I had a PS4 or PC I would probably check it out, unfortunate that it's not on X1.

My brother bought it, so I might give it a shot. Looks interesting, but watching him in the middle of a playthrough I have no idea what's going on.

I got Mass Effect for Xbone... My hope is they put both ME2 and ME3 on xbone soon



Dorling really should play Mass Effect if you can,  it is a great game
