You're right, Jesus is nicer. But Alex is a close second.

Doug E Fresh

"DAMNIT!"

(His fist hurling into the door, Doug E. Fresh leans against his forearm, catching his breath from exhaustion. Using his other arm to apply pressure to his lower back, The Professor drops to his knees, hunched over in one of the Luxor casino rooms. As the door swings open from impact, a shadow slowly enlarges. Someone arrives unnoticed to Doug.)

"This I did not expect to see."

(Doug turns to the entrance, his eyes widen.)

"It's...you."

(The man tosses a cane over towards the ground.)

"Here. In case your back is so bad that you need this for mobility."

"Ha. The absolute last individual I expect charity of any kind from is Kurt Noble."

"Then give me back the cane."

(Doug gets to one knee and slides the cane over to the doorway and in fact, the legendary Kurt Noble bends down to pick it up. The former longtime rival to the professor and main eventer of the last Extreme Tournament enters and leans against the wall on the room's opposite side.)

"Aren't you a little late to this dance?"

"I didn't catch wind that this was happening until the final TBA had been filled. It's certainly my fault."

"Don't be too sure. The Experts aren't exactly the most high functioning organization."

"Couldn't have ever been if they were willing to manage you as their face for so many years."

(Doug smirks.)

"Call me the poster child of a dead brand. Now that its been resurrected, they're going to continue wanting all possible separation from me. Its all about Jack. You know he paid off a timekeeper and didn't even receive a slap on the wrist."

"What else is new? That's Jack. Six years come and gone and he hasn't changed. So many of us have but he's still the same man."

(While Kurt speaks, Doug heads over to the mini-fridge and grabs some scotch from inside.)

"Perhaps you haven't changed all that much either."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Retirement made you soft. The drinking is still there, the complaining is still there. And honestly, after what I saw last week, the talent might be also. However I question your motivation."

(Doug swirls his drink before taking a sip.)

"My motivation? I'm defending my tournament and proving to the world I still am greatest wrestler whom exists."

"And how's that going? I didn't see you wearing a title belt last week."

"You know what happened..."

"I do. The question is do you?"

"Why are you here Noble? Is this some strange version of a pep talk? Its not necessary."

(Kurt points the cane at Doug.)

"The reemergence of the Experts has caught my interest so I decided to do some scouting. Perhaps I might even dust off the ring gear and give it a go."

"Well if you're looking to dance with me, I plan on having my date card filled with another shot at the True Expert Championship."

"Don't worry. I had my eye on you but not this version of you."

"Come again?"

"Like I said, things change. Last time we squared off, you were malicious. Doug E. Fresh was so motivated by one simple concept that it drove him back then to do absolutely anything to win. Extreme measures delivered results for you Douglas."

"Ok smartass what concept is that."

"Revenge."

"Piss off."

"You and your goons did everything to beat me six years ago in that iron man match because you couldn't beat me before. I had your number Doug. But with Jack, you're the only one whose beaten him on this stage. No one else can say that. So yes he defeated you right back and now is your opportunity to settle the score once more. How much do you care though? Jack Benevolence will forever have a loss at your hands. But perhaps never again."

(Noble decides its time to leave as Doug looks on frustrated.)

"There are so many fantastic wrestlers to behold. I'll be sure to keep an eye on which version of Doug shows up next time."

(As Noble leaves, an angry Doug finishes the scotch and tosses the empty glass at the door. Shattering on impact, the shards fall to the ground as Doug simultaneously drops to his knees, clenched fists pounding the floor in agony.)

----

"You are something I need to take a long hard look at."

(Leaning forward against a mirror, Doug E. Fresh undoes the bandages wrapped around his back. He gives himself a few face slaps before putting an old Sinistry tee on. Doug then walks out of the room into a setting with two chairs and a small table between them. Sitting and waiting patiently for him is Kyle Bacon. Doug seats himself as a camera microphone leans forward above them and out of view. A presumed producer gives a hand signal countdown to begin.)

"Good afternoon everyone I'm Kyle Bacon and I'm pleased to have a few minutes this afternoon to sit down in a rare one-on-one interview with former True Expert Champion Doug E. Fresh, who as you all know has a highly anticipated rematch this weekend with the current champion Jack Benevolence. How are you feeling Doug?"

"Fine."

"I understand this isn't ordinary for you so I want to start off by expressing my gratitude for granting the Experts this Q&A."

"Kyle, there's still much preparation needed for this Sunday so I thought it'd be best to get any promotional issues sorted early so I can do what is absolutely necessary to have my only focus be on this weekend's match."

"Well lets get underway. My first question pertains to your health. We saw you looking pretty banged up from your match with Lester Only. What condition are you in for your upcoming contest?"

"Steel chairs hurt more than they used to. But I'm fine."

"Doug, what does competing in another Extreme Tournament mean to you?"

"I'm forever indebted to being able to compete at a high level despite years of next to no wrestling. There's no bigger stage than this event regardless of my opinion of the organization running it. I'm offended that the champion doesn't have to defend his title even though he himself didn't even know that very fact. I'm appalled that I wasn't granted a rematch after Chaos Reigns. There's been public outcry as to the fairness of this entire scenario. Ultimately though I'm trying to check myself at the door and realize all this is for naught if I don't shut everyone up by doing what the world knows I'm capable of."

"You are getting that rematch this weekend but its not for the title as you said. What's going to be different in facing Jack Benevolence this time around?"

"Historically, this will be our 4th contest and our 3rd collision in Extreme Tournaments. Nothing has changed from a physical standpoint. He's bigger, stronger, and more technical than people give have often credited him for. Jack Benevolence is an incredible wrestler. The one advantage that I will always credit myself with is he cannot and will not get into my head. I played mind games with wrestlers before I knew he existed. He won't possess any type of psychological advantage."

"Do you?"

"Jack isn't the most focused wrestler. He appears that way on camera but he's a living breathing facade in that regard. Jack writes his own history and ignores the facts. He's delusional. Take for example two weeks ago, he spoke of how I could pick whoever I wanted to defend the True Expert title against. I believe the kids these days refer to that as fake news. In fact, the truth is Jack doesn't want to defend the title against anyone, especially the man who perhaps knows him as a wrestler better than any competitor the world."

"These matches will potentially give an indication of who advances out of the death group. You're all tied. What is it going to take for Doug E. Fresh to defeat Jack Benevolence?"

"Again. Kyle you forgot the word again. It comes down to focus. Ever since Chaos Reigns when Jack triumphed over me which I do acknowledge, all I cared about and still care about is getting what I deserve. My sole focus is Jack Benevolence. He has his hands in so many things, the Eternal Circle, the ORC, dealing with lawyers, and so forth. His plate is full.

What I know is that sooner or later this all ends. Everything dies. The Experts already died once. Siberia has died under Jack's watch. His desire to gain control of the Experts will die because the Experts will die again."

(Doug turns and stares directly into the camera.)

"Perhaps most importantly of all, Jack's belief in his immortality as a wrestler is already dead. I took that from him years ago and I'll do anything to defeat him again."

(Without warning, Doug leaves the interview with Kyle frantically asking the producer to stop recording.)
