9. Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis)

8. Super Mario Bros. (NES)

7. Super Mario RPG (SNES)

6. Chrono Trigger (SNES)

5. Super Mario World (SNES)

Super Mario World had big shoes to fill. It had to fill one of the greatest platformers of all time in Super Mario 3. And personally? I think that they did a very comendable job in Super Mario World. 96 worlds to explore, with hidden levels and worlds just waiting to be ventured into. Yoshi added a lot to the plate and was a valueable asset to Mario's weapon arsenal, which included a totally cool cape. There's just so much depth, charm, and replayability in Super Mario World it deserves a top 10 on anyone's list.

4. Street Fighter II (Arcade)

Street Fighter redefined the fighting game and breathed fresh life into the dying arcade scene. I also remember this as one of my first games for the Super NES and it was just a blast to play. There were so many colorful figters and very cool looking backgrounds rich in detail...the strategy for each fighter was astronomical and it's just a blast to play in multiplayer...there's a reason Capcom makes it 200000 times and it's because after 16 years, you just can't beat the simple formula for Street Fighter II.

3. Final Fantasy VI (SNES)

Final Fantasy IV, I feel, is the definition of a epic, dramatic tale, without a doubt. It's just a incredibly deep game with a awesome combat system, incredible music, detailed graphics...and Kefka, one of the most interesting bosses of all time in my opinion. I also love how there is no central character- everyone's story is interwoven and important in the story. Just an incredible game.

2. Earthbound (SNES)

I really like the unique, oddball kind of games, and that fits Earthbound perfectly. Add a unique battle system, hilarious dialouge, and catchy music and you have a hell of a game. Some of the situations you experience...well...you just can't find them in any other game.

1. Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)

It was very hard for me to pick a game to top this list but I think Super Mario 3 deserves it. No other Mario game can beat it because it just has everything down. Every world felt different; it felt like as if you were experiencing something new each time you went  further and further into the game. The new costumes like the Tanooki suit, the Hammer Bros suit, the Frog suit, Jugem's Cloud, Kurbio's shoe...they were so unique and odd you had to love them. The levels themselves can be very tricky to master and sometimes some of the puzzles are just cruel...but fair. I loved this game as a child and I still love it to this day.
