Question:
Randy Savage VS Andre The Giant
Option 1: Randy Savage
Option 2: Andre The Giant
Okay, so I'm looking for nominations! I'll take as many as I can from as many as possible! Only one rule... they have to be dead! I'm looking for 64 dead wrestlers! I'll start us out with some nominations of my own... To make it fair enough for everyone to get some nominations in, you can only nominate up to 4 wrestlers at a time! So, you have to wait for someone else to nominate someone before you can nominate anyone else!

That made me think of something. Is Sensational Sherri in this?
Close? Brody is a maybe the greatest brawler of all time, Luna was just a sideshow freak.
There is no way this match up should be thise close. Brody is one of the greatest brawlers in the history of wrestling, and while I will give credit to Luna for being a decent in ring performer, she got there because she had a unique look at the time, and she was ultimately used as nothing more that a sideshow attraction.

Christopher Michael "Chris" Benoit (May 21, 1967 – June 24, 2007) was a Canadian professional wrestler. During his professional wrestling career, Benoit worked for such major promotions as Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and the World Wrestling Federation/World Wrestling Entertainment (WWF/WWE). Among other accolades, Benoit is a two-time world champion: a one-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, and a one-time World Heavyweight Champion in WWE. Both of his world title reigns were represented by the Big Gold Belt: Benoit is one of four men to have held the Big Gold Belt in both WCW and WWE, alongside Bill Goldberg, Booker T and Big Show. He is also a record-tying five-time WCW/WWE United States Champion, having held the championship twice in WCW, and three times in WWE. The twelfth WWE Triple Crown Champion and seventh WCW Triple Crown Champion, he is the second of four men in history to achieve both the WWE and WCW Triple Crown Championships. In addition to championships, Benoit won the 2004 Royal Rumble match, joining Shawn Michaels as one of two men to win the match as the number one entrant. He headlined several major pay-per-views for WWE, including the twentieth edition of the company's premier annual event, WrestleMania, in 2004, where he won the World Heavyweight Championship. Described by WWE as "a favorite among WWE fans for his unbelievable athleticism and wrestling ability," Benoit was widely regarded as one of the most popular, respected, and gifted technical wrestlers in history. Chris Benoit murdered his wife and son on June 22, 2007 and subsequently hanged himself on June 24, 2007. Since Benoit's suicide, numerous explanations for his actions have been proposed, including brain damage, steroid abuse, and a failing marriage. Benoit last performed for WWE on their ECW brand. In 1995, while Benoit was contracted to the original ECW, he was intended to be booked to win the ECW World Heavyweight Championship but this was thwarted by work visa problems; twelve years later, Benoit was booked by WWE to win the title at the pay-per-view event Vengeance: Night of Champions, which again did not come to fruition due to his death that night.
Randy Mario Poffo (November 15, 1952 – May 20, 2011), better known by his ring name "Macho Man" Randy Savage, was an American professional wrestler and occasional color commentator best known for his time in World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Savage held 20 championships during his professional wrestling career. He held six world titles between the WWF and WCW, having won the WWF Championship twice and the WCW World Heavyweight Championship four times. He also won the ICW World Heavyweight Championship three times and the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship once. A one-time WWF Intercontinental Champion, WWE has named Savage as the greatest champion of all time and credited him for bringing "a higher level of credibility to the title through his amazing in-ring performances." He was also the 1987 WWF King of the Ring and the 1995 WCW World War 3 winner. A major pay-per-view attraction in the 1980s and 1990s, Savage headlined WrestleManias IV, V and VIII, as well as the 1995 edition of WCW equivalent, Starrcade. Hulk Hogan, face of the WWF during the professional wrestling "Golden Era" of the 1980s and early 1990s, described Savage as being "so influential in this business, especially in the WWF", and recalled, "[H]e's the only guy we could pass the belt to, and we wouldn't lose money...things would stay the same, or get better." For most of his tenures in the WWF and WCW, Savage was managed by his real life wife "Miss Elizabeth" Hulette. He was recognizable by wrestling fans for his distinctively deep and raspy voice, his ring attire, intensity exhibited in and out of the ring, his entrance music, 'Pomp and Circumstance', and his signature catch phrase, "Ooh yeah!". Savage died of cardiac arrhythmia while driving with his second wife Barbara Lynn Payne, in Seminole, Florida on the morning of May 20, 2011.

MACHO MADNESS BABY! My favorite wrestler ever gets my vote.
I can't see myself voting against savage in this tournament, but this one should have been tougher than it is, aside from the obvious.
When "the obvious" is as huge as it is, it deserves it's place.
If it were not for the "obvious" I WOULD have voted Benoit. As it is, that's the only reason I didn't.

Eduardo Gory "Eddie" Guerrero Llanes (October 9, 1967 – November 13, 2005) was an American professional wrestler born into the Guerrero wrestling family. He wrestled in Mexico and Japan for several major professional wrestling promotions. In the United States, Guerrero wrestled in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Guerrero's gimmick was that of "Latino Heat", a crafty, resourceful wrestler who would do anything to win a match. His catchphrase became "I Lie! I Cheat! I Steal!," which was used in one of his entrance themes. Guerrero partly used this phrase in his autobiography Cheating Death, Stealing Life. Despite being a villain for most of his career, he got over in and outside the ring being the youngest, yet most popular and successful of the Guerrero brothers. Guerrero was widely regarded as one of the most respected and gifted technical wrestlers in history. Throughout his career, Guerrero encountered various substance abuse problems outside of wrestling, including alcoholism and an addiction to painkillers. His real-life problems were sometimes integrated into his storylines which he agreed to. Guerrero won 23 titles during his career, including the WWE Championship.
Michael John "Mike" Lockwood (August 25, 1971 – November 6, 2003) was an American professional wrestler best known by his ring name name, Crash Holly (or simply Crash), in the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/E) promotion. Lockwood wrestled on the independent circuit, briefly for Extreme Championship Wrestling, before signing a contract with the World Wrestling Federation in 1999. He debuted as Hardcore Holly's storyline cousin, Crash Holly. He found his greatest success in WWF/E's Hardcore Division, winning the WWE Hardcore Championship 22 times and earning the nickname "The Houdini Of Hardcore" for his ability to escape tricky situations with his championship intact. In June 2003, he was released from WWE and joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling as Mad Mikey, a perpetually angry character. He remained with TNA until he died four months later. As well as a Hardcore Champion, he was a one-time European Champion, a one-time Light Heavyweight Champion and a one-time Tag Team Champion, with Hardcore Holly (The Holly Cousins).

Scott Charles Bigelow (September 1, 1961 – January 19, 2007) was an American professional wrestler, best known by the ring name Bam Bam Bigelow. During his professional wrestling career spanning twenty-one years, Bigelow worked in major wrestling promotions, including the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), the original Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) promotion, and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). He was recognizable by his size of nearly 400 pounds (180 kg), and a distinctive flame tattoo that spanned most of his bald head. Bigelow held multiple championships in both ECW and WCW, and thirteen throughout his career. Among other accolades, he was a former world champion, having held the ECW World Heavyweight Championship once, and a two-time WCW World Tag Team Champion. Although he never held a WWF title, he headlined multiple pay-per-view events for the promotion, including WrestleMania XI. Ryan Murphy of WWE (formerly the WWF), in a 2013 publication, described Bigelow as "the most natural, agile and physically remarkable big man of the past quarter century."
Rodney Agatupu Anoaʻi (October 2, 1966 – October 23, 2000) was an American professional wrestler. He was best known for his time with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) where he wrestled under the ring name Yokozuna. The term yokozuna refers to the highest rank in professional sumo wrestling in Japan. Although the "Yokozuna" character was portrayed as a champion sumo wrestler, Anoaʻi had never competed as an actual sumotori. Though Yokozuna wrestled as a representative of Japan, he was of Samoan origin and was accordingly billed as hailing from Polynesia (although he was managed by Mr. Fuji, who would follow Anoaʻi to the ring with a wooden bucket of salt, and waving a Japanese flag). In the WWF, Anoaʻi was a two-time WWF Champion and two-time Tag Team Champion (with Owen Hart), as well as the winner of the 1993 Royal Rumble. Anoa'i was the first wrestler of Samoan descent to hold the WWF Championship as well as the first Royal Rumble winner who as a result of a direct stipulation received a world title shot at WrestleMania. He defeated WWE Hall of Famers Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan, in consecutive pay-per-view victories at WrestleMania IX and the 1993 King of the Ring, to win his two WWF Championships. He was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012.

Eddie Fatu (March 28, 1973 – December 4, 2009) was a Samoan-American professional wrestler better known by his ring name Umaga. He was best known for his time with World Wrestling Entertainment, where he was a two-time Intercontinental Champion. He was a member of the Anoa'i wrestling family and frequently worked as a part of a tag team – variously named The Island Boyz, the Samoan Gangstas, and 3-Minute Warning – with his cousin Matt Anoa'i. During Fatu's first stint with WWE, he was known as Jamal and Matt was billed as Rosey. In late 2005, Fatu returned to WWE. Repackaged under the ring name Umaga, Fatu went undefeated for many months on WWE's Raw brand throughout much of 2006, before suffering his first defeat under the Umaga name in January 2007. His mother, Vera, was the sister of Afa and Sika of the Wild Samoans, and his later Umaga gimmick would be compared to their "wildness". His two older brothers, Sam (better known as Tonga Kid and Tama) and Solofa Jr. (better known as Rikishi), are also professional wrestlers who have achieved success of their own.

Oh my God.
Seriously, voters. Umaga leads David Von Erich, the best of the Von Erich clan??
I can tell some people have never watched the guy wrestle. Or else this vote would be WAY different.
Wow, two GREAT big man wrestlers. Both agile for their size and great workers, especially in storytelling.

THIS
This is kind of a tough one.
Adonis was a pretty decent worker before being saddled with his gay gimmick in the mid 80's. (The result of backstage politics, from what I've heard) But you know, he got reasonably over with it. And the best workers get over with whatever they've been given. (Think polka dot Dusty Rhodes as a reference).
So for that, I went Adonis.
I'm happy to see the gap closing on this.
Yeah, I see Eddie going pretty far.
I guess it's a generational thing... or if you're from the south.

He could also do cartwheels.
Narrowly went with Bigelow here
I went with Yokozuna on this one, and I think it was the toughest call for me. Both are fantastic big men who were very agile for their size. In the end, it came down to in ring success for me. You've got a 2 time WWE Heavyweight champion, 2 Time tag team champion, and Royal Rumble winner, against a guy who's only World title was the ECW title, and it could be argued that wasn't a World title. Love both guys, and in most match ups I would have voted for both of them, but they sadly got matched up against each other.

This was a tough pick for me. You've got a legend and one of the greatest big men of all time in Andre The Giant, but then you have one of the best in ring performers ever in Misawa, and a legend in Japan. I love Andre, but I had to go with Misawa in this one. Dude was a complete beats in the ring, and had so many fantastic matches with so many different opponents.
This is tough but Andre might be the only man who is known all over the world and by everyone of all ages.Had to go with him.
Went with Andre. He was a trendsetter for the unstoppable big man wrestlers in the industry as well as was he headliner of the historic WrestleMania III which is why I'm voting for him. Tough call though.
I was watching WrestleMania V last night and Boss Man legit climbed to the top rope and missed a big splash. That was at the heaviest he was wrestling too so he gets my vote.

Sylvester Ritter (December 13, 1952 – June 2, 1998) was an American professional wrestler and professional football player, best known for his work in Mid-South Wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation as the Junkyard Dog (or JYD for short), a nickname Ritter received while working in a wrecking yard. Entering the ring with his trademark chain attached to a dog collar, to the music of Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust," JYD regularly headlined cards that sold out the Louisiana Superdome and other major venues, becoming "the first black wrestler to be made the undisputed top star of his promotion". JYD was one of the most electrifying and charismatic wrestlers in the country, particularly during his peak in the early 1980s. JYD was most known for his head butt and upper-body strength, the latter of which saw him regularly body slam such large wrestlers as the One Man Gang, Kamala, and King Kong Bundy. The word "thump," which referred to JYD's power slam, was prominently displayed on his wrestling trunks.
Shohei Baba (January 23, 1938 – January 31, 1999) was a professional wrestler and co-founder of All Japan Pro Wrestling. He was also known by his ring name Giant Baba. Baba, along with Antonio Inoki, became one of the most famous Japanese wrestlers of his era, with a popularity in Japan comparable to Hulk Hogan's in the United States of America. He was also a 3 time NWA Champion.

Brian William Pillman (May 22, 1962 – October 5, 1997) was an American football player and professional wrestler best known for his appearances in World Championship Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation in the 1990s. Pillman had a legacy as "The Loose Cannon", a wrestling gimmick that would see him do a series of worked-shoots that would gain him a degree of infamy for his unpredictable character. He was also known for being extremely agile in the ring, although a car accident in April 1996 from which he received extensive ankle injuries limited his in-ring ability.
Edward "Wahoo" McDaniel (June 19, 1938 – April 18, 2002) was a Choctaw-Chickasaw Native American who achieved fame as a professional American football player and later as a professional wrestler. He is notable for having held the NWA United States Heavyweight Championship a record-tying five times.

David "Davey" Boy Smith (November 27, 1962 – May 18, 2002) was a British professional wrestler, also known as The British Bulldog, who was born in Golborne in North West England, United Kingdom. Smith is known for his appearances with Stampede Wrestling, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Smith found success as both a singles and tag competitor, holding every major title in the WWF except the WWF Championship. Although never a world champion, he headlined multiple pay-per-view events in the WWF and WCW, in which he challenged for the WWF and WCW World Heavyweight Championships. Smith has the distinction of competing as WWF European Champion on the sole occasion where a match for that title headlined a pay-per-view event, at One Night Only in 1997. Kevin Powers of WWE (previously the WWF) wrote, "Davey Boy Smith is a certifiable legend in sports-entertainment...The fact is [he] should have been a world champion." Smith was trained by Ted Betley in Winwick, England before relocating to Calgary, Alberta, Canada to further his training under Stu Hart. While training with Hart, Smith met Stu and Helen Hart's youngest daughter Diana, whom he married in 1984. They had two children, Harry (born on August 2, 1985) and Georgia (born on September 26, 1987). He and Diana were divorced in 2000.
Rodolfo Guzmán Huerta (September 23, 1917 – February 5, 1984), more widely known as El Santo (the Saint), was a Mexican Luchador enmascarado (Spanish for masked professional wrestler), film actor, and folk icon. El Santo, along with Blue Demon and Mil Máscaras, is one of the most famous and iconic of all Mexican luchadores, and has been referred to as one of "the greatest legends in Mexican sports" His wrestling career spanned nearly five decades, during which he became a folk hero and a symbol of justice for the common man through his appearances in comic books and movies. He is said to have popularized professional wrestling in Mexico just as Rikidozan did in Japan. Guzmán's son followed him into wrestling as El Hijo del Santo, or 'Son of Santo'.

Owen James Hart (May 7, 1965 – May 23, 1999) was a Canadian professional and amateur wrestler who worked for several promotions including Stampede Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and most notably, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), where he wrestled under both his own name, and ring name The Blue Blazer. A member of the Hart wrestling family, Hart was born in Calgary, Alberta, the youngest of 12 children to Stampede Wrestling promoter and WWE Hall of Famer Stu Hart and Helen Hart. Among other accolades, Hart was a one-time world champion: a one-time USWA Unified World Heavyweight Champion during the USWA's partnership with the WWF; a two-time WWF Intercontinental Champion; one-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion; one-time WWF European Champion and four-time WWF World Tag Team Champion. He was also the winner of the 1994 WWF King of the Ring. Although he never won the WWF Championship, Hart challenged for the title and headlined multiple pay-per-views for the company during the 1990s. He has been cited by a number of peers as one of the WWF's greatest professional wrestlers. Hart died on May 23, 1999 when an equipment malfunction occurred during his entrance from the rafters of Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri, U.S., at the WWF's Over the Edge pay-per-view event.
Ernest "Ernie" Ladd (November 28, 1938 – March 10, 2007), nicknamed "The Big Cat", was an American collegiate and professional football player and a professional wrestler. A standout athlete in high school, Ladd attended Grambling State University on a basketball scholarship before being drafted to the American Football League's San Diego Chargers in 1961. Ladd found success in the AFL as one of the largest players in professional football history. He helped the Chargers to four AFL championship games in five years, winning the championship with the team in 1963. He also had stints with both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Oilers. Ladd also took up professional wrestling during the AFL offseason and after a knee injury ended his football career, he turned to wrestling full-time in 1969. As a wrestler, Ladd became one of the top heels in the business. For much of his career he played a villainous character who would arrogantly taunt both opponents and crowds. Ladd feuded with many popular wrestlers of the time, including Wahoo McDaniel, André the Giant and Mr. Wrestling. He retired from wrestling in 1986. Ladd was recognized for his careers in both football and wrestling. He was inducted into the San Diego Chargers Hall of Fame in 1981, the Grambling State University Hall of Fame in 1989 and the WWF Hall of Fame in 1995. Ladd was diagnosed with colon cancer in the winter of 2003–2004. He died several years later on March 10, 2007 at the age of 68.

"Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers (February 20, 1921 – June 26, 1992), born Herman Gustav Rohde Jr., was an American professional wrestler and one of the biggest wrestling stars in the beginning of the television era. His performances inspired generations of professional wrestlers, such as Butch Reed during his "Natural" phase, and the legendary "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who used Rogers' nickname, as well as his look, attitude and finishing hold, the figure-four leglock. He was a two-time world heavyweight champion, most notably becoming the first professional wrestler to hold both the WWF Championship, now known as the WWE Championship, and the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
Charles Eugene Wolfe, Jr. (August 14, 1957 – February 2, 1986) was a professional wrestler better known by his ring name Gino Hernandez. His in-ring nickname was "The Handsome Half-Breed" (a reference to his Italian/Hispanic ring name)

Curtis Michael "Curt" Hennig (March 28, 1958 – February 10, 2003) was an American professional wrestler, manager and color commentator who performed under his real name for the American Wrestling Association (AWA), the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). In the WWF, he found his greatest success as Mr. Perfect, a nickname introduced in his second run with the company which gradually became his official ring name. Hennig used the same ring name in his third and final run, however, his real name was widely acknowledged. He was the son of wrestler Larry "The Axe" Hennig, and father to current WWE (formerly the WWF) superstar Joe "Curtis Axel" Hennig. Hennig is recognized by WWE as a one-time world champion, having held the AWA World Heavyweight Championship for 373 days (the seventh-longest reign in history). He won three additional world championships: the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship once, and the i-Generation World Heavyweight Championship twice. A two-time WWF Intercontinental Champion, Hennig has been named by WWE as one of the greatest Intercontinental Champions of all time, and was the longest-reigning champion of the 1990s. In addition to winning multiple championships in WCW during the late 1990s, he served as the enforcer of the Four Horsemen, a member of the New World Order, and leader of stable and country music group, West Texas Rednecks, who recorded the tongue-in-cheek song, "Rap is Crap", later described by WWE as a "stunningly popular and infectious earworm." Hennig returned to the WWF for a brief period in 2002, being one of the last three men remaining at the Royal Rumble. He later challenged for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in TNA, prior to his death on February 10, 2003. WCW described Hennig as "one of the best all-round competitors this business has ever produced"; WWE, in a posthumous publication, hailed him as a "flawless technician" who "brought the Intercontinental Title a new level of credibility during his two reigns and set a higher standard for technical wrestling in WWE." He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007 by former Major League Baseball third baseman, and longtime friend, Wade Boggs. A number of Hennig's peers consider him to be one of the greatest in-ring performers of all time; former on-screen rival Hulk Hogan remarked: "Everybody would check their egos at the door when they came to a building that Curt Hennig was in, because you couldn't out-work him, you couldn't outshine him and you couldn't out-perform him. He was the best of the best."
Alejandro Muñoz Moreno (April 24, 1922 – December 16, 2000), better known as Blue Demon (Demonio Azul in Spanish), was a Mexican luchador Enmascarado (Masked professional wrestler) who was widely considered to be one of the greatest Mexican wrestlers of his time. He was affectionately referred to as "Blue" and was known for his signature blue wrestling mask.

The Original Nature Boy for the win.

In the late 1970s, the Brisco brothers discovered Terry Bollea, the future wrestling legend best known as Hulk Hogan, whom they introduced to Hiro Matsuda for training.

Brad Armstrong is by far the most underrated wrestler of the past 25 years. Hands down. He could wrestle a match like it was nobody's business. Of all the Armstrongs (Bob, Brad, Brian, Scott and Steve), Brad was hands down the better wrestler. He lacked the charisma of the others (except Steve, who somehow had less), and never really got the push he deserved.
I remember years ago at a WCW TV taping, Arn Anderson wrestled Brad and won. By this time, Brad was more or less resigned to jobber to the stars duty. And they're interviewing Arn after the match, and he goes through his usual schpiel. And at the end, he looks at the interviewer (I honestly don't remember who it was) and says, "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go celebrate. I just beat Brad Armstrong". I always thought that was a classy move from AA and a testament to what the guys in the back thought of him.
Gorilla all the way.
Jack Brisco was one of the greatest technical wrestlers in this history of wrestling. This was an easy choice for me and I like Williams. Surprised Williams is winning the vote as of now too.
I agree with everything Hondo just said hence my vote for Armstrong.

Richard Erwin Rood (December 7, 1958 – April 20, 1999), better known by his ring name "Ravishing" Rick Rude, was an American professional wrestler who performed for many promotions, including World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), in the 1980s and 1990s. Among other accolades, Rude was a four-time world champion (three-time WCW International World Heavyweight Champion, and one-time WCWA World Heavyweight Champion), one-time WWF Intercontinental Champion, and one-time WCW United States Champion. The self-proclaimed "Sexiest Man Alive", Rude's physique has been named by WWE as the greatest in the history of professional wrestling. He is also recognized by the promotion as one of the greatest talkers of all time. Rude was one of the four original members of D-Generation X in 1997, alongside Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and Chyna.

George Raymond Wagner (March 24, 1915 – December 26, 1963) was an American professional wrestler best known by his ring name Gorgeous George. In the United States, during the First Golden Age of Professional Wrestling in the 1940s-1950s, Gorgeous George gained mainstream popularity and became one of the biggest stars of this period, gaining media attention for his outrageous character, which was described as flamboyant and charismatic. He was inducted into Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2002 and the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2010.

It *should* be Gorgeous George, for the lasting imprint he's had on the business as a whole. Something tells me it won't be the case, however.
This is just an EVIL pairing.
You had Pillman, who was probably the better worker in the ring. And you have Rude, who was one of the best at getting heat from the crowd and was certainly the more over of the two.
I think I'm going to go Rude. But it's under protest.

Fuck that bulldog .... Georgous one all the way
Ok, I'm a brit and I voted for him last round but... yeah, no. Gorgeous George all the way here
British Bulldog was a good wrestler, and I was a fan, but Gorgeous George was really one of the first guys to bring mainstream attention to professional wrestling. Without Gorgeous George, you don't have guys like Ric Flair or Randy Savage. He was the one of the first guys to really have a gimmick that wasn't some kine of stereotype. Gorgeous George set the stage for the future, honestly.

Frank Donald Goodish (June 18, 1946 – July 17, 1988) was an American professional wrestler who earned his greatest fame under the names King Kong Brody and Bruiser Brody. Goodish was an All-State football and basketball player at Warren High School, Michigan, and played football at West Texas A&M University (then known as West Texas State) and with the Washington Redskins in the NFL. As a wrestler, he helped innovate the "brawling" style and was infamous for his wild and legitimately uncooperative demeanor.

Eddie wasnt overrated in terms of his wrestling ability. He was average in ECW, above average in WCW, and then he hit the juice and got a big push in WWE.

Jumping through time in my time machine, I grab two competitors for the tenth match in Round 1 for the 2013 EFK Deceased King of the Ring! Our competitors for this match are Randy Savage and Junkyard Dog!

Macho Madness!
Sorry, JYD. We hardly knew ye.
Mike Shaw's WWF gimmicks were kinda lame and hurt him in the long run. Go back and look at his WCW work as Norman the Lunatic. Guy could work for a big man. That's why I voted him over Borga, who I gotta be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan of.

Went with Gory since he was both a Luchs Libre and hardcore wrestling pioneer.
Bam Bam for the win.
Bam Bam is gonna be a dark horse.
I'm not really familiar with Gory's work, as I haven't watched a ton of wrestling outside the US, but I CAN say that I've never been particularly enamored with Big John Studd's work. He just never struck a chord with me, even during his feud with Andre.
So on that alone, I'll vote for Gory.
Oh this one hurts me greatly. Both were really special in their own way, and I don't think either got the due they really deserved.
My vote sticks with Brad, mostly out of sympathy I guess.
I kind of hate this match up. Bam Bam deserves to move on because he was one of the best big men ever IMO, and I believe could have been a big star for either WWF or WCW. He did have success, but not to the level he should have. Then you have Brad Armstrong, who was just an absolutely incredible in ring performer. He was the kind of guy you could put in there with anybody, and know that he could make them look good. Sadly, he didn't have the charisma to match his in ring skill and ended up stuck as the guy that was used to make other people look good.
As much as I respect Brad Armstrong's ring-work and ability to pull a good match out of anybody, I've always been a bit of a mark for Bam Bam, so he gets my vote.
So I guess this game....

Raymond Washington Traylor, Jr. (May 2, 1963 – September 22, 2004) was an American professional wrestler, best known for his work with the World Wrestling Federation (later World Wrestling Entertainment) under the ring name Big Boss Man (sometimes spelled Big Bossman) and World Championship Wrestling under various ring names, most notably Big Bubba Rogers. He was a WWF World Tag Team Champion (with Ken Shamrock) and a four-time WWF Hardcore Champion; his fourth reign was the longest in WWF/E history (97 days).

Or, was winning.
If you factor in announcing with Heenan, Monsoon has the edge. But as far as wrestling goes Williams is the winner.
With stuff like this, I factor in more than just wrestling. I think about their respective spots in companies, their history, and their legacy within the business. That's why I voted for Monsoon, but Williams is certainly worthy of winning this one.

You couldn't get a better pic of Andre?
gotta go Andre here.
Much as I loved Owen Hart, I had to vote for Andre. He was one of, if the best big men ever in the sport and a giant star. Owen Hart is a guy who probably could have been a World champion, and if it wouldn't have been for all the stuff that happened with his brother, he probably would have been. Andre on the other hand, was a World champion, and one of the biggest names in professional wrestling.
According to Dean Ambrose, the ghost of Andre the Giant can beat anyone.
Of course Owen faces Andre. I like both but went with Andre.
Another match where I like both guys. Went with Hennig but Thesz was one of the best technical wrestlers of all time.
Mr. Perfect moves on to Round 3!
Andre the Giant moves on to Round 3!

Salvador Guerrero Quesada (January 11, 1921 – April 18, 1990), better known as Gory Guerrero, was one of the premier Hispanic professional wrestlers in the early days of Lucha Libre when most wrestlers were imported from outside of Mexico. He wrestled primarily in Empresa Mexicana de la Lucha Libre (EMLL) between the 1940s and 1960s. He was also the patriarch of the Guerrero wrestling family.
Władek (later Walter) "Killer" Kowalski (August 13, 1926 – August 30, 2008), born Edward Władysław Spulnik, was a Polish-Canadian professional wrestler. Kowalski wrestled for numerous promotions during his career, including the NWA and WWF, and was a known heel wrestler. He held numerous championships including the WWWF World Tag Team Championship with Big John Studd billed as The Executioners and managed by Lou Albano. After retiring in 1977, Kowalski started a professional wrestling school in Malden, Massachusetts and trained many professional wrestlers, including Triple H, Chyna, Eddie Edwards, Kofi Kingston and Damien Sandow.

This one is very tough for me. Gory Guerrero was one of the greatest lucha wrestlers ever, and if you want to bring in legacy to the business, all you have to do is look at his family. On the other side, Killer Kowalski was a huge name in the NWA as well as the WWWF/WWF, especially during his feud with Bruno Sammartino. You also have his legacy in the business, with him training names like Triple H, Perry Saturn, John Kronus, Damien Sandow, Tensai, etc. In the end, it came down to who I felt would get the win in a real match between the two, and that's Kowalski.
Gory has one vote. Wonder who it was......

I was his first!
Went with Kowalski in this one but it was close. I was wavering on who to vote for that's for sure.

Savage will get my vote every time. My favorite wrestler of all time. I even got his old school T-shirt.
I know that Savage is gonna win this round, but I had to vote for Gorgeous George. There wouldn't be guys like Billy Graham, Ric Flair, or even randy Savage, without Gorgeous George. He was the first of his kind, and wrestling owes so much to him. Randy Savage was the better in ring performer, and I would say he was more charismatic even, but Gorgeous George was the original.
Candido was damn good, but there's no comparing him to a guy like Eddie Guerrero. Eddie is one of the true all time greats, and if you don't believe, look at the whole Lie, Cheat, Steal thing. He was a face who wrestled like a heel, but because he was so talented and charismatic, the fans cheered him for it.
Oh the irony....
Macho Man moves on to Round 3!

Scott Charles Bigelow (September 1, 1961 – January 19, 2007) was an American professional wrestler, best known by the ring name Bam Bam Bigelow. I wonder if I hack the vote if everyone will enjoy the homage
This is probably the hardest vote of this whole thing, at least for me. These are two of my all time favorite guys, and they could have easily ended up meeting in the final match. I went with Savage, but it was honestly a bit of a coin flip.

Jumping through time in my time machine, I grab two competitors for the 2nd match in the semi-finals for the 2013 EFK Deceased King of the Ring! Our competitors for this match are Andre The Giant and Curt Hennig!

André René Roussimoff (May 19, 1946 – January 27, 1993), best known as André the Giant, was a French professional wrestler and actor of Bulgarian and Polish descent. His best remembered acting role was that of Fezzik, the giant in the film The Princess Bride. His size was a result of acromegaly, and led to him being called "The Eighth Wonder of the World". In the World Wrestling Federation (now known as WWE), Roussimoff was a one-time WWF Champion and a one-time WWF World Tag Team Champion. In 1993, André was the inaugural inductee into the WWF Hall of Fame.
