We noted before that The Rock is expected to work WrestleMania 31 next year and is the leading candidate for the 2015 Hall of Fame class. Word this week is that WWE is considering Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock or Brock Lesnar vs. Cesaro for WrestleMania 31.

If taker is out of the picture, I have a feeling it would be Rock vs Sting at Mania 31. I recall it being said that if Sting couldn't work with Taker he would want to work with Rock.

But god help us if it is Brock vs Rock..

WWE's website has a new article up where the staff give their bold predictions for WrestleMania 31 next year. Here's what they predict:

* John Cena will join The Wyatt Family

* Roman Reigns will win the 2015 Royal Rumble Match

* The WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be split back into two titles

* Stephanie McMahon will target the Divas Championship

* Zeb Colter will form a stable of Real Americans

* Cody Rhodes will win (and cash in) Money in the Bank

* Cesaro will break away from Paul Heyman and challenge Brock Lesnar

* The Undertaker will retire

- It's said that Bill Goldberg definitely has interest in doing a match at WrestleMania 31 if the right deal can be made. He's kept himself in shape, training almost daily, and will be 48 by next year's WrestleMania.

There continues to be talk that Brock Lesnar will take the WWE World Heavyweight Title from John Cena this summer and build to a Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 31. This would be Reigns' big WrestleMania moment and coronation as the new top babyface.

There is no confirmation that Lesnar is booked to defeat Cena at SummerSlam but word is that the pay-per-view is going to be big and September's Night of Champions pay-per-view will be just as big to help with WWE Network renewals. As noted before, Lesnar will be working Night of Champions.

I don't understand the concept of Lesnar as WWE Champion. Rock was barely there when he was Champ, and Brock would be around less.

T-Bonizzle

Because Lesnar is the ONE in 21-1! Because he was a UFC Champion! Because he's a big name draw, people will pay money to see him once every 3 months and it will add prestige to the WWE World Title that it sorely lacks atm! He is the only man who can elevate the title to superstardom.

This isn't 1988. You can't have the WWE Champ disappear for months at a time.

If that were the case they could've just kept it on Bryan.

- It's looking more and more like The Rock won't be able to do WWE's WrestleMania 31 next year. Rock will be booked all over the world a few weeks before WrestleMania to promote Fast 7. As noted, the movie was recently pushed up to April 3rd from April 10th.

Levi's Stadium, which will be hosting WrestleMania 31, has the poster below for the event on their official website. The image appears to be something that was put together quickly as a placeholder for the event until the official poster is released. You can check it out below:

WWE Teasing A Huge Match For Triple H At WrestleMania 31

Triple H on The Rock's Electrifying Return

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

There will be a backstage segment with The Rock, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on this Friday's SmackDown. A match between Triple H and The Rock was teased in that segment and at least one other time during the tapings.

The tease was for a potential WrestleMania 31 match between the two. Rock vs. Triple H was discussed at one point for WrestleMania XXX but obviously didn't happen.

The backstage segment that airs on Friday's SmackDown shows the two going back and forth over who would win if they wrestled again and the two taking shots at each other. Rock actually brought up the main event of WrestleMania 31 and WWE usually doesn't tease something in that direction if it's not in the plans.

Backstage Talk On WWE Finalizing WrestleMania 31 Main Event Plans, Possible John Cena Match

Triple H comments on Sting joining WWE

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

We noted earlier this week that WWE officials felt they have the WrestleMania 31 main event locked in. WWE has reportedly been working on finalizing WrestleMania plans this week and those plans include two special stars, likely The Rock and Sting.

There is no word yet on who may face Sting but as noted earlier, it appears WWE is building to The Rock vs. Triple H. Triple H was Sting's second choice for a match if he couldn't have The Undertaker.

The belief is still that Brock Lesnar will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Title against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31. Another match that has been discussed is John Cena vs. Rusev.

It's still early and plans always change but you have to wonder where top stars like Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton and others will fit into the plans.

The TeeJ of Philly

Being bored and we're on the precipice of WM season and I'd love to see what some people think will happen or would to see happen. There's some clear ones like Triple H vs Sting but were each title will be interesting. Here's mine. Feel free to edit as much as you want and add any notes you'd like to

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Brock (C) vs Reigns
- Brock get MITB'd by Rollins to end the show and leaves WWE

Rollins vs Orton
- Rollins wins dirty

United States Championship
Rusev (C) vs Cena
- Would 1) make the title seem important again and 2) allow us to see old footage of Cena with the spinner US title! Also, Rusev wins.

Triple H vs Sting

Dolph Ziggler vs Big Show
- Lets Dolph get a win over a "Living Legend"

Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Winner: Erick Rowan
- I'd love for Rowan to be the one who wins this.

The Miz vs Damien Mizdow
- Get as much of the tag team until they lose the titles to Ambrose and Bray

Tag Title
Ambrose/Bray (C) vs Devitt/Itami vs Usos vs Ascension
- The thought of Ambrose and Bray being crazy allies after all this would be pretty cool imo. Like they beat the shit out each other, get thrown into a tag title match or something and realize how good together they are.

Divas Title
Nikki Bella (C) vs Charolette
- Nikki wins but it'd be a good match i'd think.

Pre show Main Event
Intercontinental Championship
Luke Harper (C) vs Bad News Barrett
- Figure this would be a nice match between two bigger guys for something meaningful and a nice Pre-show match (Exclusive to Network subscribers while the NXT Battle Royal would be on youtube and such like how last year had part on everything and part only on the network)

NXT Battle Royal (Preshow )
Winner: Kevin Owens
- Figure Owens will still be in by then but this is the reason he comes to the main roster
