I agree with that aspect.  I've beaten all the FF games except 11, simply because it's an MMO and I don't have time for the massive grind that game has.

Terranova (good PC game that just didn't take off for some reason)
Fade to Black (sequel to Flashback: The Quest for Identity on Genesis/Megadrive/SNES)
Quake 4
Sega CD (I agree, had potential and certainly paved the way for modern gaming but still, gah, Road Avenger can't be excused)
Road Avenger (this game sucked so much it needs a special mention on its own)
Blizzard keeping WoW - WOTLK alphas to themselves
Sagem mobile phones (fucking terrible)
