I know that SvR 2012 has just entered development, so I gotta ask- What new features would you like to see this year?
Personally, I would like to see GM Mode reintroduced, maybe as part of WWE Universe mode. There could be two options for the mode- Superstar and General Manager. The Superstar could remain the Universe mode we got with 2011, with a few minor alterations (i.e. Inability to set/ control title matches and contenders, and vacate championships.) Actually, now that I think about it, that last sentence pretty much combines both aspects. O.o
What are some of your ideas?
Submission Create-A-Finisher options. I'll come back with more later.

If they're insistant with this WWE Universe mode, they need to streamline it in the worst way. Like being able to have a title match at any time. Little things like that. And maybe integrate this mode with a revamped GM mode?
And maybe more options in the CAW section. I know there are tons of options already, but hows bout mixing it up with some new designs, hairstyles, etc. A lot of those designs have been around since water was invented.
How about a 5 vs 5 Survivor Series match?
Maybe some Divas loading screens, like in past incarnations.
And how about a few new play modes? I remember one version from around 2003-2004-2005 (dont remember for sure) that had a mode in which you'd fight a gauntlet-style match in which one guy'd run into the ring, you wrestle and win, and another comes out, and the object was to see how many guys you could beat before you ran out of energy. I LOOOOVED that mode. Why not have more of this. There's only so many Hell in a Cell matches you can have before you get bored.
I agree at the Survivor Series match, the need for more options in CAW mode, the customize championship and tag entrances, and create a submission.
I also kinda interested in the Create a Brand that was mentioned, that sounds like it could be interested.
I also want to see like Russ came up with, the Road to WM CAW mode start off on Tough Enough. I think that'd be awesome personally.
And more CAW SLOTS!!
I'd like WWE Universe to get a load more stuff;
- Have the ability to book your next PPV card a month in advance and then the game can book logical matches that will end up with that card. If you want CM Punk vs. John Cena for the WWE title then the game books Punk to simulated-win his #1 contenders match then books cut-scenes where Punk attacks Cena and stuff like that.
- Have the ability to choose some cutscenes and a follow-up. They can throw the random ones for surprise, but if you want to have Punk attack Cena with a pipe and then Cena's out for 2 weeks you can do that.
- Title matches when you want, where you want, against who you want. Same goes for #1 contenders matches. Always sucked that you'd literally have to spend a week just playing as a certain person to get their stock up enough to get a #1 contenders match for the WHC/WWE title but then randomers like Chris Masters and David Otunga end up in there too.
- Your own brand on WWE Universe. You pick which day of the week to have your show on and draft a roster and then off you go. Even draft titles over or create your own titles!
One other small thing. It's a minor gripe, but a gripe all the same.
You know how in tag team matches and six mans, when you go to pin your opponent, and his partner(s) ALWAYS get to you before your partner(s) get to them? I HAAAAATE that! Even if you're in YOUR corner, they STILL beat your guys! They need to adjust those mechanics a bit.
There should be a mini-game when you go for the pin where you get to control your partner or press a button sequence for your partner to get there first.
Just makes me laugh how IRL tag partners will happily stand there and watch their partner get pinned, but in the games they go apeshit the second you start to hit your finisher.
how about fixing the fact that when in a triple threat match the CPU opponent not being pinned will always break up your pin attempt but if another CPU opponent is pinning you, they'll just stand and stare?
How awesome would it be to see a 'WWE Studios' menu, where you have the option to remix WWE entrance themes, or even create mash ups of two different themes, to use with tag teams? You could make a new version of the Rated-RKO theme, or anything else you could think of! I would love this, personally.
This could also be the menu where you would find the WWE Highlight Reel feature, and stuff like that.
Also, what legends would you like to see this year? I think they usually put out 11 or 12, so who do you want?

True, but when was the last time we'd seen Mike Knox, or The Hurricane (Granted he wasn't playable, but he was still in the game)? I don't expect Kaval or Sheffield, but Husky had been prominent enough that it could at least be wishful thinking that he makes the cut, if only to team him with McGillicutty.
I hope we're given the option to vacate titles, and hold tournaments, battle royals, and name contenders in WWE Universe this year. I agree that the unpredictability was fun in last year's game, but it got to be too much at times. Chavo beating Undertaker in an opening match on SD? 'Taker forming a tag team with Yoshi Tatsu, and that happened on multiple seasons and after many times that I would manually split up their team. I can't remember who, but someone said we should be given the option to pre-schedule our PPV shows, and book/ play matches accordingly based on the programs we set up. That could be a great idea if played out right.
Also, I think we should be able to swap titles between brands, as well as defend the Money in the Bank briefcase, or at least vacate and assign it to someone else. I had a storyline that saw R-Truth win MITB, and DiBiase 'buy' it from him in exchange for the Million Dollar Championship for which he had been fighting for weeks. Unfortunately, there was no way to switch the briefcase from Truth to DiBiase. -.-

Breakdown of information:
- You can interrupt moves before they happen (e.g. clotheslining Cena in the middle of doing the Five Knuckle Shuffle or punching him in the middle of a suplex)
- Moves no longer jump to the middle of the ring to happen, just wherever they are
- New submission button-mashing mode
- New mini-game to attack the opponent while getting up
- If you have a finisher/sig you can do a taunt that makes your opponent get up in position to hit the move (e.g. Orton's fist-pounding or HBK's stomping)
- Store two finishers; FUCK YES.
- You can do a comeback sequence like the hot-tag but for singles guys.
All sounds pretty epic so far!
After the disappointment that was the last game I'm gonna be wary of this one.
Really, all I want out of the game at this point is for the gameplay to be FUN again.
Also, the whole 'break up any move in the middle of it' thing sounds like it could be REALLY fucking annoying.
I think it sounds pretty awesome, so far! It's more or less a throwback to the SmackDown games of old, which used the face buttons for all the primary controls. It sounds like they revamped WWE Universe and Road to Wrestlemania, as well as the entire creation engine for CAW, finishers, entrances, etc. If executed as well as it sounds, this could be the best WWE game yet!

It would be awesome if Tyler Reks makes the roster, his finisher is one of the sickest moves I've seen on WWE in years. Apparently the game entered development in May of last year, so whoever was around (and prominent) back then will probably make the roster.

I read in an interview with Corey Ledesma that development for each game bleeds into the next, and that this year's game, WWE '12, started developing last year in May.
I don't think rosters are locked until Mania/Later THIS year. Otherwise there'd be no ADR and we'd be enjoying Batista lol

I really hope thats just base graphic test, I mean they look good but they look like they have been devolved to a few games ago look. The moves themselves are pretty sweet too, I'm happy they updated Orton with all his moves and one of Kurts, but, and maybe its just me, they looked a little choppy too.

As far as championships go, some things need to change.
1) We should be able to vacate titles at will. Not being able to do that just seems silly, to me.
2) We should be able to trade championships between shows. I always thought the WWE Title stood out more on SmackDown, for some reason.
3) There should be a menu that allows us to toggle the championships between 'active' and 'inactive', and to decide which brand each belt is assigned to. For example, the Million Dollar Title could be assigned to Raw; the Cruiserweight, to SmackDown, etc.
4) Not a big deal, but it would be cool if 'custom' belt designs were included, I.e. Edge has his "Rated-R" championship, Miz has the "M" design, Austin has the "Smoking Skull", stuff like that.
Other tidbits:
- If The Undertaker doesn't have his Johnny Cash entrance, we riot.
- In Superstar Threads, there should be a menu to edit "Extras", like the Nexus armband, entrance attires, etc. You could remove or add any extras, to a reasonable extent.
- Customizable tag-team entrances, and (fingers crossed) Create a Theme!
Want a better storyline mode. Hate the Road to WM.
Better/easier entrance video creation. Too complicated right now.

I like the new wwe 12 game, SVR2011 had a lot of great features...like reversing pins and the gameplay is fun... I respect how they were able to translate wwe into video games.

Not been impressed in the slightest by anything I've seen from this game so far. Looks really Madden syndrome laced, bringing nothing new but minor superficial changes to the table, if that.

The Edge of Reality is awesome, I already know I'm gonna put that as my hometown.
This is going to be the 1st one I have bought since 2009. Something about this one just seems special, and WWE has a lot to prove with it, since they are deviating from SD v R. In addition to that, I really like the current roster.
More than likely, I will wait until the price drops on this. The initial demo had me thinking the old engine performed better, but new pictures and videos of this game keep improving. I also like the current roster, but if I hold out until next year's WWE game, I may be lucky enough to download the perfect created wrestlers from the community.

Ok, seeing as it's been about 3 months since this game first started getting press, I'd just like to ask a simple question:
Aside from changing the roster and going back to the control scheme they were using 5 years ago, what exactly new is this game bringing to the table?
I mean, I'd just like to know what there is about this game to really get excited about, because it seems to me that outside of some seriously superficial changes, it's the same game as it was last year, the year before that, the year before that and so on, and really they all kinda sucked.
So what makes this one different and worth the price tag of $90+?
Johnny it is striped down and rebuilt from the ground up this year ... It looks better, Jack said it moves faster and smoother r and they have improve on everything. I think you should least give this one a try... we will buy it and tell you if it worth your money or not. how that for a deal ;D

I'm sold on this, alone. A simply FANTASTIC Legends roster, and a surprisingly full main roster. I'm very surprised that Husky Harris made the cut, afterall, but a bit disappointed that Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks didn't. I would have easily traded Goldust or Yoshi Tatsu for either of them, if not both. Still, this means I can continue forward with my plans for a Harris/McGillicutty team, and probably stick Mason Ryan with David Otunga. I'm likely keeping the four of them together as Nexus, assuming they actually have the ORIGINAL Nexus theme.
What are some of your ideas for matches/teams/feuds? I'm actually very excited for this one!

Recent news - Exhibition mode and Universe mode are separate, so you can have different champions in each and you can run different stories in each (ie. Cena can be WWE champ in exhibition and Orton can be WWE champ in Universe). Further to this, you can vacate the title in Exhibition mode :)
