Hey everybody!
Some of you may remember I was very close to recording an album a few years back, but it unfortunately fell through. When it did, I decided to take a short break from writing (ended up being 6 months D:). I got back into it full swing and have written a full album which I started recording as of today! We did demo stuff today, outlining how we may get some of the songs to sound, and I decided to post a demo on my soundcloud and I would really love and appreciate it if you, my EFK family could give it a listen, share and feedback etc :)
Remember that it's literally the skeleton of the song which means everything will be re recorded and fine tuned etc. :)

I heard Reality Blues a couple of times last night (you must have had a few different recordings of it up, I suppose) and it may well be my favorite. Now I ended up listening for about an hour and it was just before falling asleep, so I might have some of the songs mixed up, but I think Pitiful Blues stood out for me also.
Ill listen again this evening and pay more attention to which song is which, but I enjoyed listening on the whole. You've a really great voice actually man! Makes me miss watching Home and Away and Neighbors though haha.

Haha, yeah, sorry about that, but it made me realize it's been so long since I heard an Aussie accent!
Also, a thing I like is that the lyrics tend to be a lot more aggressive than the tunes which are more laid back, in a couple of the songs at least. Gives it a really nice contrast.
The gig went really well yesterday. We got a pretty big reception which was thrilling. We also recorded a live film clip of our song 'Hemmingway' (it's on soundcloud) the video should be posted over the next few weeks. So exciting!
We've another gig today which is in cohesion with the interview I had with scene magazine. :)

Aww thanks man. I was actually just coming online to share today is the big day where we're recording our debut EP in a big awesome studio here in Aus. Hemingway won't be included but it was a fond song for me as it was the start of really pushing for gigs in 2015 :)

Recording in the studio was great fun and an awesome learning experience. The best studio I've seen personally so was very thrilled to record the EP. Can't wait to share it with you guys!

Some pretty exciting updates. We currently have two songs in the top 10 on the triplejunearthed.com roots charts. Triple J is essentially the biggest unsigned musicians radio station in Australia, and is where the likes of Wolfmother, Silverchair and Powderfinger got their starts so success there is fucking awesome! We've already seen trickle on effects from its success with being offered a spot on Uberfest, a touring festival for indie bands which should draw a pretty decent crowd, and 4zzz radio in Brisbane plus a radio in the US giving The Wild air time.
So exciting! !!!!!!
