TEAM COMBAT WRESTLING NAMES NEW COMMISSIONER!


Big news today out of TCW Headquarters, as Mike Powers was named the first ever TCW Commissioner by the Board of Directors.  Commissioner Powers was unavailable for comment, but the rumor is that he plans on ruling things "fairly, but firmly".  More information as it comes in!

SHOOT CLUB STRIKES IT RICH IN THE LOTTERY!!


The first ever Team Combat Wrestling draft lottery was held today, and The Shoot Club came out on top!  Team Owner Scott Davis was quoted as saying "I couldn't be happier that we have the first pick in the draft.  As an owner with very high expectations of his club, and of his President, this gives us the leg up that we need to succeed here in the inaugural season".  The second pick falls to the Devils camp, where rumors about of strange behavior during the interview process abound.  They are followed by the Rebels, Rockets and the Premiere Fight Club, rounding out the top 5.

The unlucky final spot in the draft is filled by the Union Jacks, who will also have the 1st pick in the 2nd round, due to the 'snake' format of the draft.

PORTER DECLARES FOR TCW DRAFT!!


Not much is known about the man known simply as 'Porter'.  What is known is that he is the brother in law of Devils Head Trainer Brad Matthews.  Rumor has it, President Vega ordered Assistant Trainer Wainwright to evaluate the mans raw potential, in regards to beginning a career in the squared circle!  When the big man bit, he entered the TCW draft!  Rumor has it that he will ONLY sign with the Devils, but that is unconfirmed at the moment.  More as the story develops....

TCW DRAFT PROSPECTS UNVEILED!


A "who's who" list of names in the wrestling world has been released, as the prospects for the first ever TCW entry draft has been made public!  Many well known names, as well as some lesser known bodies have all thrown their collective hats into the ring.  Rumor has it that Commissioner Powers will soon release the information to the clubs regarding the proper scouting procedure.  More as it develops....

SCOUTING PROCEDURE REVEALED!


Big news today out of TCW Headquarters, as Commissioner Mike Powers released details concerning the scouting process.  "We here at Team Combat Wrestling are very excited heading into our first draft", he was quoted as saying.  "The league will provide each team with a certain number of unbiased scouting reports, free of charge.  The number of scouting reports you receive, is directly related to the market size of the cities that the clubs have set up shop in.  Large market teams will receive 8 scouting reports, mid market teams will receive 9, while small market teams will receive 10".

In addition, Mr. Powers stated that each club may spend money out of their own PR/Scouting budget in order to do more scouting.  These reports however will not be "unbiased" as provided by the league, but your own Assistant Trainer will provide these.  The quality of these reports is said to be directly tied to the Assistants abilities to do his, or her, job.

Teams can submit their scouting at any time!  More as this story develops....

JAMES HOLLIS NAMED PROMOTER OF THE CWA!!


James Hollis, world renowned promoter, has just been appointed as the head of the Continental Wrestling Association.  Hollis, who has decades of promoting experience, was hoping for a job with the upstart TCW, but was shocked when his phone didn't even ring! Hollis was quoted as saying "I can't believe that not a single one of those Presidents had the brains to even call me! I decided to just go back to my wrestling roots....their "team wrestling" concept will flop anyway!"

Rumor has it that Hollis will target top TCW prospects, offering them big money deals to join his territory. More as the story develops....

JACOB STANCE BECOMES FREE AGENT!


Big news coming out of the TCW Draft!  2nd round draft pick Jacob Stance and The Rebellion were unable to come to terms on a contract, making Jacob a free agent!  Rumor has it that James Hollis of the Continental Wrestling Association will be making a heavy play for Jacob's services, but Super Agent Benjamin Lancaster will happily listen to any and all offers.

ARE THE REBELLION MAKING A PLAY FOR STANCE?!?


The big rumor for the day comes out of Miami.  A source placed deep inside the Rebellion organization states that President Justin is making a back channel overture to repair relations between himself and Benjamin Lancaster!  My source states that Justin is trying hard to repair bridges between the two camps, and bring Stance to Miami!  Neither Justin, nor Lancaster would comment on this story.  James Hollis of the CWA was quoted as saying "if it's a bidding war they want, it's a bidding war they'll get!"

STANCE-GATE COMES TO AN UNBELIEVABLE CONCLUSION!!


When negotiations between Jacob Stance's camp and President Justin broke down, nobody thought that Jacob would end up as a member of the Rebellion.  But that is exactly how it played out!  Despite reported offers from James Hollis of the CWA, The Shark Tank, Rebels, and a large monetary offer from The Union Jacks, Jacob and his agent Benjamin Lancaster have decided to sign with the Rebellion!  Reported terms of the deal are 3 years at $7 million, with $2 million PR and $500,000 signing bonus. 

A source within the Stance camp states that Jacob, while flattered with the offers from other stables, wished to remain with the club that showed the initiative to draft him originally.  Also, Benjamin Lancaster was overjoyed at the prospect of "getting over" at the expense of President Justin.

CWA SIGNS SPURNED TALENT!!!


Many top level wrestling talents were shocked today, when the inaugural TCW Draft concluded without their phones ringing!  Continental Wrestling's James Hollis was quick on the draw though, signing many of the brightest stars before any TCW Presidents could realize their mistake!  The top signings have to be Gerry Nichols (who was touted as a Top 3 selection), and Onyx (who was projected to go in the Top 10).

"Some of these men have been Champions before.  Top draws in their respective territories.  I don't know what is going on over at TCW, but if that is an indication at how they plan on doing business.....well, let's just say that things will be rough for them", Hollis was quoted as saying.

"It's very disconcerting", Nichols was quoted as saying.  "I've never been shown this amount of disrespect before in my life."

MARKET MADNESS!!


President Justin has stepped in it again!!  After tense negotiations with the Rafa Faafili camp, President Justin thought he had finally nabbed his man.  However, when Rafa's Agent saw that the contract was in the name of "Rafa Fragile", all hell broke loose!!  The Samoan veteran took extreme exception to the perceived slight, and demanded a trade!  Not one to lose out on his man, President Justin did what he does best.....opened up his checkbook!

After a record $10 million/$4.5 PR/$500K signing bonus contract was signed for the 8th round draft pick, pandemonium ensued across the TCW landscape, as Agents began to renegotiate deals for their, suddenly much more valuable 1st and 2nd round selections!  Surely President Justin has made few friends tonight.

In an odd footnote, President Bone of the Rockets was seemingly immune to the issues, as he and his stable are already sequestered in training camp.  It remains to be seen what will happen upon their re-emergence to the world.

DUKE BARNES ABANDONS TCW!!


The fallout from President Justin's contract adventures continues, this time landing at the Shark Tank's doorstep!  My sources say, Agent Emilio Ruiz contacted President Midas about renegotiating Duke's contract, to put it more in line with the rest of the league.  The two parties were not able to reach an agreement, and Duke has walked out of TCW entirely, and right into James Hollis' arms!

"These boys have no idea what they're doing!", Hollis exclaimed.  "I hope they keep doing what they're doing, because my roster is the best in all of wrestling right now!".

Questions linger as to what will happen when Doug Manning's agent reaches out for a renegotiation, as is expected.  More as the story develops....

TROUBLE IN SEATTLE?


On the heels of President Rob Hollands of the Union Jacks making another costly error, my sources say that Sir Charles Winslow III, owner of the club, is none too happy at this turn of events.  Rumor has it that Sir Charles nearly choked on his fish and chips at the news.

Reportedly Sir Charles has boarded his private jet and is on the way to Seattle so that the two men can sit down in the near future to sort out what went wrong, and what the future entails in Seattle.

HE LOVES THE NIGHT LIFE?


After a close loss to Jackson Cage, most people would imagine that Sam Barton would double up his efforts in the ring, in the gym, etc.  Turns out, less than an hour after his heartbreaking loss, Barton was spotted at a high end strip club in Houston!  My correspondent didn't get to have a word with him, as Sam and his entourage quickly disappeared into a private room.  Rumor has it that this isn't the only time he has been clubbing this week, as various social media sites have reported Sam visiting the local nightlife all week long.

A PULL APART BRAWL?!?


The Rebels organization may need to invest in some group therapy!  My sources tell me that following the teams matches against The Shoot Club, James Reeves and Donnie Temple needed to be separated in the locker room!  My sources say that the two men have been at odds ever since training camp, related to Temple's relentless ribbing of Reeves' alleged parentage.

According to my source, things had been calm for the week leading up to the card.  After the Main Event match, which Temple dropped to Joel Rocker, Reeves was reportedly gloating hard over the fact that he won his match, while Temple fell in defeat.  Temple didn't take kindly to this, and the two began to fight.  The two men were pulled apart, and Head Trainer Elliot was heard to be verbally disciplining both men after the display.

MCCAUL CALLS TEMMATES 'SOFT'!


Rory McCaul, never one to mince words, went on a tirade after the disastrous first week for the Union Jacks.  "These fella's need ta toughen up quick!  If they think dat The Rockets laid a beatin' on us this week, wait'll they see what I have in store for them at practice!"  McCaul went on to say, "These lads need to show dat they have something between their legs, and fast!  I'm sure as hell not soft, and I won't be mates with anyone as soft as these puffs!"

There is currently no word on the reaction from the rest of the Jacks, although early word out of training camp was that Rory was a club leader in the locker room.

JAMES HUMBLED BY MCKINNEY?!?


The rumor mill has been swirling for weeks about the dislike brewing between 'Platinum' Percy James and Caleb McKinney.  According to sources, although each man has the talent to Main Event, Percy has made sure to flaunt his contract and position on the card to any and everyone....especially Caleb.  Thusfar Caleb has taken it in stride, but after the Rockets matches against The Union Jacks, where Percy was the only Rocket to lose his match, Caleb went on the verbal attack.

Usually not one to back down, Percy uncharacteristically sat seething in silence, according to my sources.  Undeniably there is a powder keg in Boston.  The only question is, when will it go up?

CUTTER SUFFERS FRACTURED RIBS IN LOSS!


The enigmatic Marshall Cutter needed assistance to the back, after a jarring spear from Tamba Tuaalo fractured two of his ribs!  Cutter was gasping for breath in the locker room, and my source tells me that some in the Militia weren't too upset by that turn of events.  In fact, it was the first bit of peace and quiet the team has had in weeks!

Cutter's availability for Week 2 is currently in doubt, but by no means definite.

COX BLOCKED?!?


A bit of news that slid under the radar during training camp revolved around Murphy Cox.  Apparently, while President Serra was still in charge of the Wildcats, she added a 'perk' to Mr. Cox's contract - two 'butlers' who would attend to his every whim.  Needless to say, this attracted many eye rolls from his peers, a fact that seems to have flown very far above the blue bloods head.

However, after he and Kurt Martin's loss to the Jones Brothers this week, his stablemates took it upon themselves to humble Murphy a bit by ensuring that Cox's butlers were given the wrong information about the weeks activities.  In fact, the butlers found themselves on a Greyhound bus to Cleveland, much to the delight of the rest of the team, and much to the consternation of Cox.

RAFA FAAFILI REFUSES TO WRESTLE FOR PRESIDENT JUSTIN!


President Justin's relations with his stable continue to plummet, as Rafa Faafili refuses to EVER suit up for a Justin-lead stable.  My source quoted him as saying, "Man, I gave that guy the benefit of the doubt, and look what that got me.  I've been shown NOTHING but disrespect since I arrived a this organization.  Justin threw a bunch of cash at me, and green-lit a PR campaign and I decided to stay.  Worst.  Decision.  Ever." 

Rafa went on to say, "Prez Justin sent down his lineup to the Training staff, and I was able to get a look at it.  The dude called me "Fafa" when he thought I wouldn't see it.  The disrespect never ends with this man!!  I don't care what he does, trade me, release me, whatever.  I'm going to take his money and laugh with every dime I spend."

CHAU'S BACK IS 100%


The most immediate beneficiary of President Justin's faux pas with Rafa Faafili was John Chau, Rafa's scheduled opponent for the week.  John, who was going into the week with a sore back, won the match via forfeit, giving his back a much needed night off.

"DOC REDFORD DID NO HELP!!  I A MAN, I PUSH THROUGH PAIN.....BUT PAIN NOW GONE!!", John was overheard saying to reporters....from somewhere roughly down the street....after the card was complete.

FRIGHTMARE DESTROYS LOCKER ROOM AFTER SUBMISSION LOSS!


Early reports coming out of Denver has The Devils Main Eventer Frightmare completely destroying a locker room out of frustration after his loss to XJ Hawkins!  Frightmare was helped to the back by the training staff, where he reportedly became livid with himself and his performance.  My source states that Frightmare kicked the rest of the team out of the locker room, and he proceeded to break every stick of furniture, mirror, wall, and decoration inside the room.  Frightmare was then seen leaving the arena, still wearing his ring gear, without a word to anyone.

PLEASURE BEFORE BUSINESS?


The hot rumor of the week revolves around TCW's resident couple, Sarah Divine and Delbert Larson.  According to my sources, in the week leading up to the first ever TCW show in Denver, Divine and Larson were scarcely seen.  Apparently, on more than one occasion, the duo needed to be reprimanded about showing up late to practice due to....recreational activities.  Worse than that, the couple was caught 'breaking in' the training room while the rest of the squad was running drills!

THUNDER INJURES HAND!


Thunder, one half of the Lightning & Thunder tag team, suffered an injury to his right hand at the tail end of his match this week against The Shoot Clubs Bradley and Rob Washington.  The injury came when, after a tag to Lightning, Thunder was unable to pull himself up from the mat and into his corner.  Lightning, unaware his partner was prone in the ring behind him, executed an irish whip on Bradley, causing Bradley to step on the hand of Thunder!

There is currently no word on the severity of the injury, or whether or not Thunder will miss any time.

ROCKER THREATENS MEDIA!!


After a heartbreaking loss to Rory McCaul, Joel Rocker was in a bad mood.  So bad, that when the media tried to get a word with him, he chased them out of the building!  Reports from the scene indicate that Head Trainer Brandon Wayne had to corral the hot headed Rocker into a private locker room in order to prevent things from escalating!

DISARRY IN MIAMI!!


President Justin's troubles continue to compound, after a disasterous week in Miami.  Reports indicate that President Justin has lost the respect of his locker room due to his treatment of his team...or in some cases, lackthereof!

An anonymous source is quoted as saying "we were already upset because we expected to hear from Justin at some point, but he stayed holed up in his office with Trainer Corwin all week".  The source then went on to say, "things got really bad when Trainer Corwin put this weeks team sheet up in the locker room....people couldn't believe what they were seeing"!  President Justin, in listing Rafa Faafili's status, again referred to the proud Samoan as "Fafa".  Things went from bad to worse, when Jacob Stance was pulled from the Main Event, without so much as a peep as to why!

Rumor has it that Club Owner Rip Terry is demanding to speak with President Justin this week in order to set things straight.

MR. STEELE UNHAPPY JERKING THE CURTAIN?


The Rockets have shot out to a fantastic start to the season, with many people pegging them as the odds on favorite to win the TCW Championship.  However, rumors persist about an uneasy feeling in the locker room there, that threatens to derail the teams momentum!

My informant tells me that, after his lopsided win over The Profit, Mr. Steele marched from the ring and directly into Head Trainer August's office.  Without uttering a word, he took a sharpie from a nearby desk, and underlined the words "Main Event" on the team sheet on the Head Trainers desk.  After a few moments, he turned and walked away, leaving Trainer August to regain his composure (and change his shorts, I'm sure!).

XJ COMES OUT ON TOP IN MATCH OF THE YEAR CANDIDATE!!


The eyes of the wrestling world turned to Chicago this week, and more specifically to the XJ Hawkins/Gerry Nichols classic!  For nearly an hour, the two technicians traded hold after hold, neither one able to gain a clear advantage!  Each man was able to counter their opponents signature and finishing maneuvers, and in the process produced a wrestling clinic!  The ending came when Gerry positioned XJ on the top rope for a superplex.  XJ executed a series of headbutts, knocking Nichols off of the ropes, allowing XJ to lock his legs around his neck and slip into a lightning fast victory roll for the 3!!

Despite the home team losing the match, the Chicago crowd afforded a standing ovation to both men after the match.  XJ, in a rare display of respect, shook hands with Gerry after the match, before Nichols left the ring to the victor.

"XJ HAWKINS IS THE BEST WRESTLER I'VE EVER FACED"


Gerry Nichols, the world travled veteran, had high praise for his opponent this week!  After his close loss, he was quoted as saying "I've been in the ring with Champions across multiple continents, and I've never seen a technician like XJ.  When we got up past the 50 minute mark, and I saw that he had legs as fresh as my own, I thought for sure we'd be going to the 1 hour time limit.  But, to his credit, he slipped one by me and got the 3 count.  XJ Hawkins is the best wrestler I've ever faced, and I can't wait to meet him again"!

"WHO CAN STOP MY PATH OF RAGE"?


Frightmare, coming off of his submission loss last week, was looking to prove a point this week....and boy did he!!  Facing Mr. USA this week, Frightmare vowed to avenge his loss, and he did so in convincing fashion!  The first half of the match was fairly balanced, but after Mr. USA took a hard fall over the top rope to the floor, striking his lower back on the announce table, Frightmare took over like a predator that could smell blood!

Any sort of wrestling went out the window, as Frightmare used a variety of strikes to pummel the injured back of Mr. USA.  Kicks, punches, headbutts, forearm smashes, kneedrops....Frightmare landed with all of them, right on the back.  Finally, the referee could watch no longer, and waved the match off!!

As he was walking to the back, TCW microphones picked up Frightmare's chilling promise.  "This is the first of many!" he cried out at the crowd.  "Who can stop my path of rage?" he taunted.  Who indeed!

THE INJURY BUG STRIKES AGAIN!


The injuries continue to mount for the Militia, as Mr. USA was taken to a local hospital after his match with Frightmare.  Mr. USA was moving gingerly after striking his back on the announce table in the match, and Frightmare exacerbated the injury with a furious assault.  A team spokesman says "nothing appears to be broken, but we will continue to work him up to make sure".

The rumor out of the Militia camp is that Marshall Cutter, who was of course injured in last weeks match, should be given the go ahead to compete this week.  That is certainly good news, with Mr. USA's availability certainly in doubt.

MASUKA VS BAINES?


Sources tell me that Wildcats Head Trainer Seiji Masuka has become fed up with his Assistant Trainer Mark Baines habit of "overstepping his bounds".  My source tells me that Seiji was already feeling awkward due to the fact that he earns LESS than his assistant, but the situation has been exacerbated by Assistant Trainer Baines constantly overshadowing him in practice, and in discussions with management.

My source goes on to say that the locker room is confused as to who they should be listening to, their Head Trainer, or their Assistant Trainer who is easily the loudest voice in the room.  Kamikaze Lee, who feels similarly underpaid and undervalued compared to his contemporaries in the league, has grown close to Coach Masuka, as the two men feel that they are sharing a similar struggle in Louisville.

"PRESIDENT DEATH THREATENED ME ON HIS FIRST DAY!"


Donnie Temple has put the new Presidnet of the Rebels on blast in his latest comments!  After this weeks action, the media caught up with the tempermental, but talented, athlete.  He says that "President Death threatened me on his first day, can you believe that?  I was called up to his office, and I thought it was just to meet the dude.  But then he goes into this speech about how 'the team comes first' and that if I ain't on board he'll 'make my life a living hell'!!  Can you believe that shit?  That dude does NOT know who he's talkin' to, does he?  He better learn real quick, if he doesn't want his best bet at a Championship to walk!"

My source in the clubhouse states that Temple, although he is factually correct, is making no friends in the clubhouse with his brand of drama.  President Death was unavailable for comment.

LIGHTNING SHINES IN SINGLES DEBUT!


Many wrestling pundits have gone on the record as saying that Lightning would be better served dumping his long time partner (and rumored brother) Thunder, and embarking on a singles career.  Those pundits now have a little more proof on their side, after watching Lightnings brilliant performance against Mitch Ward.  Ward took early control of the match, as Lightning was seemingly unaccustomed to not being able to tag out.  However, the longer the match went on, the more Lightning appeared to buckle down, and grind for the hard fought win.

It is unknown whether or not Thunder will be ready to return from injury this week, and if so, whether or not Prime Minister McMasterson will reteam the duo.

MASUKA VICIOUSLY ATTACKED!


Just hours before the Wildcats were set to face the Union Jacks, Head Trainer Masuka was found unconscious in the locker room area!  He had apparently been laid out with a shot to the back of the head, and it appears he also suffered a broken ankle.....which occurred AFTER he was knocked out!  Kamikaze Lee, close friend of Seiji Masuka, accompanied him to the hospital, and thus lost his main event match via forfeit.

Assistant Trainer Baines was quoted as saying "It is definitely unfortunate what has happened with Seiji.  Luckily, we have a strong President in charge here, and we all know the pecking order.  Since tragedy has so unfortunately befallen Seiji, I will take the reigns from here on."

RAY CONTINUES TO ROLL


One of the brightest spots for the Tank, is one that gets very little press at all.  Cassidy Ray continues to do what she does best....win!  She is 3-0 thusfar on the year, and this past week she faced her toughest test yet in Tigress.  Early in the match, Tigress took Ray down to the mat hard, leaving Ray clutching at her left knee.  Hobbled the rest of the match, Ray refused to give up, catching Tigress off guard with a small package for the victory!

Reports from the back suggest the injury isn't serious, and Ray will be ready to go next week.  That has got to be good news to new President Rob, who takes over the Tank this week.

DONNIE TEMPLE RAGES AGAINST PRESIDENT DEATH!


Donnie Temple has continued to put the screws to the President of the Rebels by lying down for the voluntary loss in his match, followed by a verbal tirade against management!  Things seemed odd right from the start, as Temple approached the ring with no theme music, and wearing street clothes.  As the bell rang, he chose to simply lie in the center of the ring.  A confused Gerry Nichols tentatively covered for a 3 count, before he left the ring shaking his head.  That is when the REAL fireworks started.

Temple picks up a microphone and began to berate President Death for threatening him 2 weeks ago, and then "not having enough balls" to talk to him at all last week! His microphone was cut off after he called Death "a no good piece of shit", which didn't stop Temple as he continued to scream at the top of his lungs to those who were close enough to hear. 

President Death clearly has some work to do this week in repairing the relationship with his Main Event star.

BRADLEY AND WASHINGTON WITH A BIG UPSET!


Two men who have been working hard to develop chemistry as a team took a big step forward this week, as they won their first match as a duo, in a surprise upset over Crimson Blade and Ben Armstrong.  Right from the start, Armstrong and Blade seemed to not be on the same page, and Bradley and Washington capitalized.  The finish saw Blade attempt to irish whip Bradley to the ropes, where Armstrong was waiting with a forearm shiver.  Bradley quickly reversed the whip, and Armstrong nailed his own partner inadvertently, allowing Bradley to nail his bulldog and get the 3 count!

The two men celebrated in the ring as though they had just won a Championship, and had to be ushered to the back by officials so that the rest of the card could continue.

MCKINNEY FURIOUS AFTER "BULLSHIT" LOSS!!


Caleb McKinney was in a foul mood after his loss to Sam Barton last night.  A source tells me that he was overheard screaming at the referee for the match backstage, saying that it was "bullshit" that Barton was able to pick up a three count with his feet on the ropes.

Surprisingly enough, he was backed up by Percy James who agreed with Caleb's assessment as he was walking by to head to the ring for his match.  Before things escalated out of hand, the training staff guided Caleb away from the official to calm down.

MORGAN JONES LOOKS GOOD IN LOSS!


In the injury ravaged early part of the season, Staff Sergeant Underpants was forced to shuffle the deck in terms of his projected lineup.  Pulling Morgan Jones from the tag team with his brother was definitely a risk, but with Denzel and Cutter pulling out a win, that put even more pressure on Morgan to produce.  And, although he didn't win the match, produce he did!  Jones exhibited a speed based offense that he is rarely able to show in tag team matches, and kept the much larger Duane Jensen off balance.  In the end, the size difference proved to be too tough to overcome, but the overall performance should be enough to give Underpants pause when setting future lineups, especially when everyone is back to full health.

IS DELBERT STEPPING OUT?


At the tail end of her loss to Michelle Zimmerman, Sarah Divine suffered a stinger which left her shaken up in the locker room.  Most would expect her boyfriend to be right at her side....then why do my sources place Delbert inside ZIMMERMAN'S locker room while Divine was being attended to? 

It looks like Larson may have some 'splaining to do!

HALLER ELECTRIFIES FANS; ENRAGES TRAINING STAFF!


Mike Haller, resident daredevil in the Los Angeles based club, delighted fans when he started off the show by BUNGEE JUMPING into the ring from the rafters!  The near-capacity crowd ate the stunt up, but my sources tell me that management and training staff were none-too-pleased by the move, which Haller did not clear with anyone. 

Many wonder what, if any, punishment will come down on Haller's head.  Complicating the situation, Mike won his match in convincing fashion.  Many fans seem to share the attitude "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" when it comes to Haller and his wild side.

PRESIDENT JOHNNY REBEL NOW AT THE HELM!


Rip Terry's patience finally ran out for President Justin, as Justin was relieved of duties last week.  Johnny Rebel, a TCW newcomer, was named the new President of the embattled organization. 

Terry expects Rebel to quickly straighten things out in the locker room, which has been in complete disarray all season.  Rebel needs to comes to a decision once and for all in regards to the Rafa situation, as well as deal with angry Main Eventer Jacob Stance, who was unceremoniously dropped to the Semi-Main Event slot, where he took out his anger on Russell Wade this past week.

One thing is for sure, things won't improve in the ring until things improve in the locker room, and Rebel has a LOT of work to do to get there.

STABILITY IN MIAMI?


There's a new man in charge......again.....for the Rebellion, as President Ace is now at the helm in Miami.  My source tells me that he made a great first impression on the team by immediately improving relations with Rafa Faafili, while also having words with the team as a whole, something that the club sorely needed.  Early indications are that the team is beginning to settle in, with a feeling that they finally have management that is in it for the long haul. 

President Ace has also implemented a new plan in order to find the optimal lineup for the club, turning some heads in the process.  Who will rise to the occasion and be the man at the top of the card in Miami?  Time will tell.

THE DEVILS ROLL THANKS TO....YOGA!?!


Management in Los Angeles was looking to find a way to get the most out of Russell Wade, a man whose talent is matched by his inconsistency.  The fearsome Presidente Vega surprised onlookers when he turned to a pair of Yoga instructors to try and gain an edge.  After interviewing both ladies, he hired one of the ladies to work with Wade....and in an even bigger surprise, one of the ladies volunteered their services to Assistant Trainer Wainwright!

It appears that whatever the ladies brought to the table was successful, as Wade was victorious in his match, while the usually aloof Wainwright appeared much more focused, and able to offer valuable advice to the club backstage.

XJ CONTINUES TO ROLL!!


XJ Hawkins defied the odds by not only defeating one of the most dangerous wrestlers in TCW, but he also made him tap out!  It was an amazing back and forth match, with Rory using his power to hammer away at the smaller man, but XJ kept using his technical skills to wrestle the larger man to the mat.  The end came when XJ executed a textbook dropkick to the knee of McCaul.  While Rory was down, XJ swiftly applied the Sharpshooter, and although Rory fought the pain for nearly a minute, in the end he tapped out!

One has to wonder, of the technical skills of Gerry Nichols can't stop XJ, and the powerhouse Rory can't stop XJ.....who can?

UNDERCARD CARRIES MILITIA!


The Militia walked away with a win this week, but instead of thanking the bottom of the card, they need to be thanking the top!  The Militia marched out to a quick 3-0 lead, thanks to the efforts of the less heralded men and woman on the roster. 

As a token of appreciation, my source tells me that Mr. USA and Lamar Nash took the team out to a nice dinner, on their dime.  It looks like there is a strong sense of camaraderie in the DC locker room, something that a lot of clubs should be quite envious of!

LINEUP SHAKEUP DOESN'T PAY DIVIDENDS!!


President Bone likely is dipping into the aspirin right now, as his team dropped the first match of the season!  Bone thought that shaking up his lineup in order for favorable matchups would keep his team on the winning side of the coin, but the shakeup did nothing but create more unrest in a locker room that, despite their success, already wasn't on the strongest ground.

The strife between McKinney and James has been well documented, as well as Mr. Steele's....strange....behavior.  My source tells me that tensions have been high all week, and the training staff had an extremely difficult time keeping everyone on task.

The big question is, will President Bone stick with his new lineup, or go back to the one which provided him the most success earlier in the season.

DALLAS LOOKS GOOD IN LOSS!


Many people scoffed when President Wrong signed Clint Dallas, a man with zero wrestling experience.  However, it appears that at the end of the day, President Wrong may have the last laugh!

In only his second match ever, Clint held his own against the rising star Tamba Tauaalo.  Clint had Tamba rocked on several occasions with his unpredictable brawling style offense, but in the end it was his inexperience that did him in.  Dallas was going for a big lariat to end the match, but Tamba avoided it and took the hoss down with a bone shattering spear! 

One thing looked clear at the end of the match.  Once Clint has more experience under his belt, he may be a lot to handle in the ring.

PRESIDENT DEATH HUMBLES HIMSELF; TEAM RESPONDS WITH A BIG WIN!


President Black Death seemed to have stepped in it big time upon his arrival in Oakland, when he threatened Main Event talent Donnie Temple, causing a rift in the locker room.  After some soul searching, President Death issued a statement apologizing to Temple, and taking full responsibility for his actions. 

Surely the sense of stability that was created in the locker room, combined with the rocky situation in the Rockets locker room, led to the team picking up the much needed victory!  Time will tell what the lasting impact will be in the Rebels locker room.

"I WAS ROBBED!"


Gerry Nichols pulled no punches after his loss to Frightmare in the Main Event this week, which saw Vance Mendenhall of the Devils distract the referee, allowing Frightmare to nail a low blow and get the tainted win.

"I've been around the world, and I've never been shown the amount of disrespect in the ring that I was shown tonight.  I was robbed, plain and simple.  Had Mendenhall not been out there, I'd have beaten Frightmare, no doubt about it" Nichols said in the locker room.  And indeed, it appeared his was on his way to a win when, late in the contest, conditioning came into play.  Frightmare was sucking wind, clearly blown up by the length of the match, while Nichols appeared to be as fresh as he was at the beginning of the contest.

The question moving onto next week is, how will Nichols respond to this loss?

BREAKING NEWS -- KAMIKAZE LEE ATTACKED MASUKA!!


Just moments ago, the Union Jacks office has released the security footage from the night Head Trainer Seiji Masuka was attacked.  That footage clearly, and shockingly shows the masked Lee savagely assaulting his Trainer, and friend, from behind!  Lee then quickly fled from the building, leaving Masuka lying in his own blood.

Many questions remain.  What was Kamikaze's motive?  What will the organization's response be?  What will Trainer Masuka's response be?

MCCAUL INJURED IN LOSS!


Rory McCaul, one of the toughest men in the entire league, was last seen being tended to by the team doctor, after his surprising submission loss to XJ Hawkins!  A combination dropkick to the knee, combined with nearly a full minute in XJ's dreaded Sharpshooter, left McCaul hobbled.  The prideful man limped halfway to the back under his own power, before his leg gave out on him.  He was helped to the back by Tripp and Buzz, before disappearing into the doctors room for the rest of the night.

Time will tell how severe the injury is, and whether or not McCaul will miss any time.

MCCAUL GOES INTO BEAST MODE!


Many were wondering how Rory McCaul would fare this week, considering he came out of last weeks match with a loss AND an injured knee.  Rory answered that question emphatically this week, as he knocked Donne Temple unconscious with a devastating DDT from the top rope!

Rory showed some effects of the injured knee early, as Donnie dictated a fast pace in the match.  At the midway point, the more powerful McCaul took control with his power based offense.  Temple began making a comeback, hitting a series of lightning fast dropkicks on McCaul, before making the fateful decision to climb the top rope.  Rory caught him prone, and dropped him with the DDT.  Before he could make a cover, the referee checked on Temple.  Seeing he was unconscious, he called for the bell, and awarded the victory to Rory.

Rory, giving zero damns about Temple's condition, posed over his prone body as he was being attended to by the medical staff.

"IT WASN'T ME!!"  --  KAMIKAZE LEE


The story that has taken more twists and turns than a soap opera, has taken yet another one today as Kamikaze Lee declared that he was being framed!  Kamikaze, who was beaten and hospitalized by Assistant Trainer Baines (reportedly at President Franchise's request!) has reached out to me from his hospital bed to set the record straight.

"I would NEVER hurt Seiji!", he tells me exclusively.  "He and I are close friend.  I don't know who wear my mask in video, but it NOT ME!!"

The question lingers....if it wasn't Kamikaze under the hood attacking Head Trainer Masuka, who was it?

SHARK TANK COMPLAINT LEADS TO VETERAN OFFICIAL BEING APPOINTED TO OVERSEE TCW'S REFEREE'S


Kevin Terry, a veteran official who has refereed matches across the globe for over 3 decades, has been appointed by Commissioner Mike Powers to oversee TCW's referee corps, after a complaint was recently levied by President Hollands.  President Hollands reportedly put the Commish on blast regarding a string of recent losses suffered by his team due to some "underhanded tactics". 

Commissioner Powers acted quickly in hiring Kevin, a man regarded for his strict adherence to rules and regulations, to effectively re-train the TCW officials in how to handle things like outside interference, dirty tactics, etc.  It remains to be seen what sort of effect this will have on a week to week, match to match basis.

Kevin is expected to meet with the TCW referee corps this week for intensive training sessions.

TEMPLE HOSPITALIZED AFTER HEAD INJURY!


As was reported earlier, Donnie Temple was the victim of a devastating top rope DDT from Rory McCaul this week, causing him to lose his match via knockout.  Moments after the match, where Rory had to be escorted from the ring so that the medical staff could tend to Donnie, a neck brace was placed on a semi-conscious Temple, and he was taken from the ring on a stretcher.  Early word is, he suffered no neck/spinal injuries, but did come away with a concussion. 

Donnie spent the night in a local medical center, before being discharged the next morning.  It is clear that this blow will cause Temple to lose some, but just how much is up in the air at this point in time.

SHOOT CLUB WINS!!


The Shoot Club defied the odds this week, and pulled out the first victory of the season, while at the same time giving the Devils their first loss on the year!

The night started off on the right foot for the Club when Clint Dallas scored his first EVER victory inside the squared circle over Mike Haller.  Bradley and Washington kept the momentum going with a victory over Muhammad al Shitari and Mace, in what was in actuality a very poor showing for both teams.  The night was capped off for the Club in the Semi-Main Event, where Sam Barton continued to show off for the ladies in the audience, and pulled out yet another clutch win, this time over Russell Wade.

The question remains...is this the beginning of something, or just a flash in the pan performance from the Shoot Club?  Time will tell.

A LOCKER ROOM IN SHAMBLES?


My sources tell me that the locker room situation in Boston is bad....REALLY bad.  The team, loaded with top level talent from top to bottom (but also saddled with top level ego's), has been in flux for the past two weeks, as President Bone has tried to force a round peg into a square hole. 

"It's the strangest thing", my source tells me.  "The Rockets should've run the table, barely losing a match here or there.  But the drama in the locker room has overshadowed everything, and Head Trainer August is in WAY over his head."

The latest addition to the Rockets woes comes in the form of TCW's first ever draw.  Both the Rockets and Wildcats were tied 2 matches to 2 heading into the Main Event.  Mr. Steele had the edge on paper over Mitch Ward but matches aren't wrestled on paper, they are wrestled in the ring.  At the end of a very even matchup, Mitch launched himself over the top rope onto Steele who was outside the ring.  Both men hit hard, and neither of them could answer the ref's 10 count.

One has to wonder if President Bone can turn this team around, and get it back on track.

MR. USA UPSET WITH PORTER?


Unity is always something that the Militia has had in spades, but there may be a crack in the foundation.  My sources tell me that President Underpants set up a mentorship program between Mr. USA and Porter.  Although training went well during the week, Mr. USA was quite upset when Porter was MIA at ringside during his match.

"President Underpants asked that Porter accompany me to the ring, in order to observe my match" Mr. USA says.  "For almost an hour before match time, I was looking all over for him, but couldn't find him.  Finally, I went to the ring alone.  That was valuable time I could've used to warm up, or otherwise mentally prepare for my match.  I'm not too happy with him right now, that's for sure."

Hopefully, Porter will have answers for his teammate and management this week.

MAIN EVENT CHAOS!!


What started out as an excellent big man vs little man contest, quickly devolved into a cluster of interference last night!  XJ Hawkins and Jacob Stance were in the midst of a barn burner, when Emmanuel Carlson emerged from the back.  Carlson jumped onto the ring apron, and tried to distract XJ, who was having none of it.  When it looked like the Ref was about to regain control of the situation, Dominic Gonzalez showed his face, and immediately squared off with Carlson! 

Things quickly broke down from there, as Gonzalez and Carlson started to brawl at ringside.  XJ and Jacob were both pulled out of the moment, and each man stopped to try and gauge what was going on.  XJ was quicker to come to his senses though, as he swept the leg of the distracted Stance, and within moments had him tied up in the sharpshooter!  With nowhere to go, Stance quickly tapped out.

One has to wonder where the match could've gone, had things not gotten out of hand.

PROSTITUTION SCANDAL ROCKS DEVILS!!


The largest scandal to hit the young TCW has erupted in Los Angeles.  Last week, we exclusively reported that yoga instructors were provided to both Russell Wade and Assistant Trainer Sam Wainwright.  We can now exclusively report that prior to the matches this week, Wainwright was spotted wandering outside the arena, looking as disheveled as ever.  This reporter tried to get a word with him, and here is what he said:

"......the pain.....the screams......they used to comfort me, be my friend......now, the devil whore has shown herself.....and my strength is now my weakness......comfort is pain.....pain is no longer comfort.....why did she?......roses are dollars......ROSES ARE DOLLARS......she fucks for money......my Lexi.....PROSTITUTE!!.....where to do?.....what to go......?"

At that point, he wandered away.  It took some digging, but it appears that the yoga instructor that Wainwright had been seeing was, in fact, a high paid call girl in the Los Angeles area.  This raises the question about the circumstances behind Sam and Lexi's meeting, and the ethics involved with another yoga instructor currently on the Devils payroll.

PART 2 COMPLETE; ON TO PART 3....


President Ace's 3 part plan to figure out just what he has in Miami is 2 parts complete now.  In the race to see who will be the Main Man in Miami, Jacob Stance lost in controversial circumstances, while Big Nate won in the Semi-Main Event slot.  Rafa's team lost in tag team action, although Rafa wasn't involved in the decision.

Reports out of Miami say that the team, despite not having a win on the season, is reveling in a newfound sense of stability and pride in the team.  It seems that President Ace has put this team on his back, and they are now headed in the right direction.  Morale is high, as the team looks to get over the hump and get that win.

VACANCY IN CHICAGO


Stability is one of the most important parts of club building, but for some clubs that stability has been difficult to maintain.  Such is the case in Chicago, as for the 2nd time their President has stepped down, leaving a vacancy in the big chair!

My sources tell me that President Hollands has vacated his position, effective immediately, due to personal issues.  Jeremy Hawthorne now finds himself in the unenviable position of finding his 3rd President of the inaugural TCW season.
