Greetings. I'm Jeremy Hawthorne, and I'm the luckiest man alive! I won over $350 million dollars in the lottery, and I used it to turn my life around! Fancy clothes, cars, food....but I'm still a man that loves a good fight at heart! I really don't care if we win, as long as I see someone get their face stapled to the canvas! Entertain me!

My name is Bobby Lambert. Jeremy saw me walking down the street, and I made him laugh, so I got a job. Yeah, it's humiliating as hell, but where else can you earn 6 figures just be being a midget? Anyway, I'm here to help.

Hi, my name is GM Franchise and I'm interested in running the Shark Tank. I have an extensive background in sports and have been involved in wrestling before. I've been watching wrestling since the late '80's and am a huge fan of the sport. I think I am the perfect guy for this job since I want to put on an entertaining product that will make you even more money. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Well hold your horses son, we've got time for all of that. My first question to you is......have you ever thrown a midget wearing a velcro suit into the wall until he sticks? Haha, that's some good fun right there. BOBBY GET IN HERE!

BOBBY ENTERS WEARING A VELCRO SUIT AND A SAD EXPRESSION. JEREMY GESTURES TO THE TARGET AT THE WALL AND WAITS EXPECTANTLY.

FRANCHISE PICKS UP BOBBY AND TOSSES HIM AT THE TARGET. BOBBY LANDS ON THE BULLSEYE IN THE MIDDLE AS FRANCHISE YELLS OUT "HELL YEAH!"

JEREMY LOOKS ON, HIS FACE A MASK OF UNABASHED HORROR

AFTER MANY UNCOMFORTABLE MOMENTS, JEREMY BEGINS TO LAUGH, AND SLAPS FRANCHISE ON THE ARM, HARD

Ah, I'm just messin' with you Franchise!!  That was a damn good shot there!  Haha!  We just like to have fun here at that Shark Tank, ain't that right Bobby?

Anyway, peel 'ole Bobby off of the wall there, and tell me what qualifies you to lead a wrestling stable.  Aside from your good marksmanship that is!!

I have an extensive knowledge of the sport. I followed mainly regional promotions when I was growing up most notably the ones in the Mid-South, Memphis, Florida, Georgia, Carolinas, Minnesota, and Texas. I like old school wrestling and I think that's the direction to go in. It was entertaining, crazy, the crowd was into it, and after watching the sport become stale I'd like to bring back that old time feel like from the '90's when it was hot. There was all kinds of stuff on a weekly basis. Basically entertainment value mixed with good in-ring action will equal both high ratings and lots of revenue from merchandise and ticket sales.

The 90's are old school to you?  Damn Franchise, you're making me feel old!  Haha!!  I like your enthusiasm, and I like that you have a clear direction you'd prefer to head in.  Tell me, would you build the Shark Tank around a particular style of wrestling, or would you take a more rounded approach?

Title: Re: The Shark Tank

More rounded approach is best. Keeps the product from becoming stale and makes it more exciting than just seeing the same thing over and over again.

Alright, two more questions for you.  First, if you were to be named the President of the Shark Tank, where would you look to establish our camp?  And second, have you ever drank gasoline?  Some strange things came up when I googled you man.  Strange things.

Title: Re: The Shark Tank
Post by: GM Franchise on February 26, 2015, 07:01:20 PM
To answer your first question my preferences would be for either Memphis, Tennessee or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I think those are the two best markets for a wrestling product. Secondly the gasoline thing was a prank for Punk'd on MTV. I like to be entertaining as you can tell.

Mister Hawthorn, do yourself a favor and forget about that Franchise guy, and hire me. Chris Shields. Come on, that guy doesn't even have a real fist name. I'm the guy who is gonna make The Shark Tank into something great, and I'm gonna do it by making sure this team is filled with people who really like to punch other people in the face. You want someone who knows wrestling, I've been watching since before I could crawl, I've gone back and studied wrestling from the 50's, and before some jackass hit me in the knee with a steel pipe, I stepped into the ring. I've got a vision that I believe will go hand in hand with yours, and I am also a huge fan of midgets.

It was first, stupid ass typos. Also, when thing don't go our way? There is no our, I already told you that my bat doesn't swing that way Franchy. Now quit sending me pictures, and wasting both my time and Mister Hawthorne's. He's a smart man, there's no way he'd ever dream of picking you over me. Just look at your two choices for location, and look at mine, Dallas, Texas. I would put us in one of the largest media markets in the country, a place that is known to have a great community of wrestling fans, and more importantly a city that is hungry for some good smash mouth style fighters. With you The Shark Tank would flounder, while I would make it shark week, ALL DAMN YEAR!

Shields, is it that time of the month again? Because you sure are PMSing right now over one simple comment. The only person wasting time here is you wasting mine. Philadelphia is one of the largest markets too, ranked sixth, THREE SPOTS higher than Dallas. So what was that again about floundering? At least I know my facts instead of coming on here and ranting like someone in an ISIS propaganda video like you are doing.

Nope Franchy, just giving Mister Hawthorn all the pertinent information he needs. Also, Dallas is the FIFTH biggest media market by most counts. Not to mention there's flat out more people in Dallas, more money in Dallas, and oh yeah, I know the area. I will be able to promote better than you could in either market, because I've already got the connections. Hell, you don't even know which city you want to go to. The fact you tossed out 2 options, means you don't have faith in being able to get your top choice and had to have a back up in case you fail. I don't plan for failure Franchy, I focus solely on success.

The only thing you're succeeding at is showing Mr. Hawthorn which one of us is actually paying attention. Let me put up the link that was shared with ALL potential General Managers.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_population (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_population)

According to the 2013 ranking, the most recent mind you, Philadelphia is a bigger media market than Dallas. The only thing you're failing at is burning me. The fact is you're making yourself look less and less informed of the current markets to the General Manager as well as your focus on "not failing" when you've already failed at doing the proper background research on the markets before trying to start some sort of a dick measuring contest with me. You may know Dallas but then again so do the local Dallas Uber drivers.

Or maybe, I just now how to look up the actual most recent market rankings, did you ever think of that Franchy? It's 2015, not 2013. They do those things every damn year. Even with Philadelphia being a slightly bigger media market than Dallas, your other choice has fallen out of the top 20, hell it's fallen out of the top 30. Plus, the DFW metroplex has 2 cities in the top 20, so boom. Beyond the city, the simple fact is that I know more about wrestling than you, and what the fans of the area I would be bringing this company to, enjoy. Which is what Mister Hawthorn said he enjoys, if you would have paid attention to that. Me and him are already on the same page without so much as having a conversation. Clearly I'm not just the better man for this job, I'm the only man for this job.

Well I'll be damned!!  We got ourselves a cock fight here in the Shark Tank!!  Haha!!  I think we can all tell where this is going, can't we?  We just like to have fun here in the Tank so.....BOBBY, GET IN HERE!!  AND BRING THE TRAMPOLINE!!

BOBBY SLOWLY WALKS INTO THE ROOM EYES DOWN, DRAGGING A SMALL TRAMPOLINE.  JEREMY PLACES SEVERAL ITEMS ON HIS DESK.  A LENGTH OF ROPE, A FOOTBALL HELMET, A FIRE EXTINGUISHER, AND A BOTTLE OF SELTZER WATER ARE DISPLAYED

Alright guys, using any or all of these items, what's the most fun thing you can think of to do with Bobby here and his trampoline?  ENTERTAIN ME BOYS!!

Title: Re: The Shark Tank
Post by: Chris Shields on February 26, 2015, 10:42:10 PM
Well, he should probably put the football helmet on to be safe. Then I think we take the rope, attach it to one of the blades on that ceiling fan, and have him use the trampoline to spring himself up, grab the rope, and then once he's spinning around the room. he uses the bottle of water to hit several targets, the fire extinguisher, Franchy, that chick in the white t-shirt, really whatever you designate as targets Mister Hawthorn.
Title: Re: The Shark Tank
Post by: GM Franchise on February 26, 2015, 10:46:41 PM
Okay this is what I have in mind. Shields stands in front of the target over there with the trampoline directly in front of him. Bobby puts on the football helmet, chugs the water, and then jumps off the trampoline hitting Shields in the balls while spitting out the water on impact. The water goes down Shields pants and it appears that he has wet his pants. We then use the rope as a lasso to let them both catch their dignity when the stunt is over.

Post by: Chris Shields on February 26, 2015, 10:53:30 PM
Mister Hawthorn, do you really want someone so petty to be the president of this club? His idea isn't fun, and he is using your personal midget to directly attack another applicant, because he's clearly nervous that you know who the best person for this job is. I mean, for one, have you seen me apply for any of the other vacant positions? Nope, and you're not going to. Meanwhile Franchy is going around whoring out for anyone who will tell him he's special. I have a vision Mister Hawthorn, and I believe that me and you, we can be a better combination than steak and potatoes. We'll be a better duo than scotch and water. We can rule the wrestling World, and have a dozen midgets doing crazy stunts for our amusement.
Title: Re: The Shark Tank
Post by: GM Franchise on February 26, 2015, 11:00:17 PM
I'll let Mister Hawthorn decide who's idea is more fun.

Also let me mention this, Shields. You're mad at me for making you a target after making me one in your stunt? Okay...

You were getting water sprayed at you, while I would be hit in the testicles. You can kick a man in the balls during a fight if it will help you win, but you don't do it for no reason, that's just wrong.

Hell I'll stand in front of the target and let him do it. That's how much I like the scenario. The added visual of the pants wetting after the helmet shot is hilarious. More fun than basically recreating Neville Logbottom and the cornish pixies from Harry Potter like in your scenario.

Who and what? Sorry, I didn't see that nerd movie, I was busy having a life. You just keep giving Mister Hawthorn reasons to not choose you. Do yourself a favor and give up this foolish endeavor Franchy. Clearly. I am the more qualified man for the job, in every single way.

That's the difference between you and me. I never give up whereas you do give up. That's why I am the better choice. I can stick it out during both the best and worst of times whereas you cannot.

I don't give up on a damn thing Franchy. I am the right man for this job, simple as that. You don't even have a vision for the type of roster you would assemble, while mine is clear and exactly what Mister Hawthorn already said he is a big fan of. It's also the type of roster that will be perfect for the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.
Title: Re: The Shark Tank

Mister Hawthorn, I want to ignore all the stuff with Franchise, and talk about what I believe The Shark Tank should ultimately be about. What do you say you just go ahead, send him out into the waiting room, we get down to brass tax? After that, I'm sure you'll tell Franchise to take a hike, we can go hit up a strip club, get drunk, and see what it will take for one of those chicks to let Bobby give her a lap dance, because a midget gyrating on a stripper just sounds too damn funny to me.

Mister Hawthorn, my vision is fairly simple, and that's what makes it great. We need people who are really good at hurting other people. Brawlers, powerhouses, crazy SOB's who will go out to that ring and do what it takes to give the fans a fight they're gonna remember. It might not always be pretty, but damn will it be entertaining and effective. Everyone likes to see a good fight, and I'll make sure we have a roster of damn good fighters.
Title: Re: The Shark Tank
Post by: GM Franchise on February 27, 2015, 12:44:44 AM
As I said earlier I want to build a well rounded roster with a lot of variety to it. I'm talking a mix of all arounders, technical wrestlers, luchadores, brawlers, high flyers, midgets, a heavy hitting heavyweight division, divas, and comedy wrestlers. As far as entertainment goes I'd go with a realistic storylines that keep the fans entertained, divas in tight outfits, midget fights, brawls all over the arena and backstage, technical wrestling showcases, high quality and competitive tag team matches, high flying action with the high flyers and luchadores, heavyweight big man matches with an old school feel, and some comedy wrestlers to go out there for a change of pace. Basically I want to encompass the entire spectrum of what a wrestling company should have. A well rounded roster, a variety of wrestler types to create a nice mix of matches on the shows to keep the people interested, quality and realistic storylines, crowd interaction, and putting on unique shows that garner the interest of the fan base to keep them coming back for more instead of the same thing over and over again which will get old and stale very quickly.

Mr. Hawthorne... How are you doing? My name is Donnovan Midas and well... I am currently interviewing for a couple clubs and well truthfully I was on the fence about showing up here today with you!

I mean I understand you want to be entertained but winning should be everything and honestly when I walked through those doors I figured I would be able to convince you of that but then I saw that midget at your desk and figured there was no real chance!

You are probably wondering why I even bothered coming in... Well I am going to be honest! None of the other clubs would validate my parking and you are a rich bastard so I figured you would.

So what do you think about hiring me and having some fun WINNING?

Haha!!  Midas, I love it!!  BOBBY, CHANGE INTO THE VELCRO SUIT!!

BOBBY LEAVES AND RETURNS A MOMENT LATER IN THE VELCRO SUIT.  JEREMY LOOKS AT YOU AND GESTURES TOWARDS THE TARGET ON THE WALL.

Let's see if you're a better shot than that Franchise fella!!

Midas grabs Bobby and picks him up

Oh shit! Dude you are heavier then you look! Been eating a few to many bowls of lucky charms...

Midas spins a couple times with Bobby in hands and tosses him towards the target missing it all together

Shit! Well that did not go as plan! So yeah... To the strip club now?

Haha!!  You're a fun guy Midas, I like you!!  I suppose while you're here, you might as well tell me about what you'd do to make the Shark Tank a winner.  At least that way, my lawyers will be happy, and we can write this off as a 'business meeting'.

Simple... I am a huge multi-tasker so while I keep us having fun I will be winning... First I will start by spending some cash for a top notch staff and this is of course after we set up our camp in Vegas. We draft the best and show them that being with us is a shit ton of fun and this will lead to wins and money and more fun...

As far as who to draft well I think we will do some hard work scouting these guys and then get a feel of their personality and whoever works well with us will join us and WIN!

Mr. Hawthorne while we wait to hear back from the people in Vegas I was wondering if you have ever considered setting up the club in Chicago...

Chicago is the third largest city in the nation and just so happens to be my hometown... I can assure you that the city would make a large profit for us and keep the lawyers happy and with my knowledge of the city I am confident that I can keep you flush with fun for years to come.

Hey.  I reached out to a guy in Vegas, he told me there was another club interested in Vegas, so that made the prices go up.  There's a place on Freemont Street, which is the old Vegas Strip.  5,500 seats, $4.5 million per season.  There is another in a casino right on the new Strip.  7,000 seats, $6 million per year.

Title: Re: The Shark Tank
Post by: Midas on March 02, 2015, 10:52:38 PM
I grew up in Chicago and let me tell you anything we could do in Vegas we could do in Chicago... When I suggested Las Vegas to you but it turns out some other club is looking into Vegas and this is jacking up the price and personally I see vast opportunity now for us...

New York... Chicago... LA... Those are the 3 major cities in the nation and only LA has been taken! We put our club in Chicago and blow all these other clubs out of the market...

Vegas has Casinos and so does Chicago... Vegas has loose women and so does Chicago... And I will let you in on a secret that not many people know! The police and mayor in Chicago HATE midgets and enjoy the occasional session of Midget bowling so no worries about someone breaking up the fun!

I think is we are going to have the price jacked up in Vegas then we should just pay more and be in a bigger market with more potential for fun!

Title: Re: The Shark Tank
Post by: Midas on March 02, 2015, 11:39:31 PM
I understand but with the price being raised because of other interested parties we might as well pay the same price for a bigger market and worse case scenario if we don't like the price then we can fall back to Vegas if it is still around.

So now I will get some info about Chicago...

I reached out to my Mr. Hawthorne's real estate guy, and here is what he found.  There are 2 facilities.  The first is 8,000 seats, and it is just off the downtown area, at a cost of $5.5 million.  The second is 12,000 seats, and is located just a few blocks away from Soldier Field, but at a cost of $8 million.

That's funny... Yeah so get all the paperwork together for the 12,000 seater for $8,000 as that would make us the team with the biggest arena!

Now please contact Lawrence Corwin and see if he would like to interview for the Head Trainer position.

Mr. Corwin I hear you are a man of few words so let me do most of the talking and lets see if we can get you signed to the shark tank to be our head trainer. Your experience is widely known so I will not bother inquiring about that but I am concerned that you are someone who could prove difficult to communicate with. I am sure you are a great leader of men but would we have a issue communicating with each other on whats best for the club?

We are the second largest market in the TWC and there will be tons of pressure on both you and I to win and win fast so if you believe you can properly communicate with myself and our team owner and can withstand the pressure that comes with a club based in Chicago how about we talk about money...

Excuse me for a moment...

Bobby... Can you get Dexter Freeman on the phone.

I see you studied at Wharton and have a fair amount of experience, I am interested in employing you as our Doctor here as I feel you spent many year in Philadelphia and I find Chicago to be very similar to Philly and think you would fit right into this city and the fan base wants to trust the person taking care of their favorite star. Mr Morse as you know we have taken your client Doug Manning in the TCW Draft at 15 and are hoping to secure a deal with him. First thing I want to ask is how he feels about coming to Chicago and wrestling for the Shark Tank?

He is 25 years old and I could see us building our HW division around him and we see him as a guy who can deliver in the present and provide for us in the future. We just want to make sure he is as happy to be in Chicago as we are to have a talent like him.

Mr. Lancaster... It has come to our attention that your client Jacob Stance could not come to terms with his club and is not allowed to negotiate with anyone he sees fit.

As you may know we drafted Duke Barnes with our first round pick and planned on implementing him as our top Super Heavyweight for our club... We were wondering if Jacob was interested in coming to Chicago and creating the most formidable Super Heavyweight Duo wrestling has ever seen...

We will dominate the scene by having the best 1-2 punch in that division!

Here in Chicago we are all about big things and we here at the Shark Tank want to focus our club around big guys and we believe that Doug will make our Heavyweight Division the best in the league!

He is still a young man and we are looking to secure him for a good while so how about a 5 Year 6 Million dollar deal with 1 Million going per year for PR! This is Chicago and we need to promote Doug so people know his name!

Big guys, huh.  You do realize that at 227 lbs, he is on the lighter end of the heavyweight division, right?

In regards to your contract offer?  We will gladly accept those terms for 3 years.  Doug plans on proving his worth, and earning himself a much higher contract in the next few years.

That is the prime spot in our opinion for what we are looking for in the Heavyweight division... Our Superheavyweight Duke Barnes is over 300 lbs and if in what we consider the prime spot in the Super Heavyweight division! If we wanted a heavy slow guy in the heavyweight division we would have went with Big Nate or Mr. Steele!

I hear you on your client wanting the prove himself for a big contract and I understand... Is there anyways we can lock this in at a 4 year contract for the same terms?

We here see a lot of potential in him and are willing to be flexible with his desire...

He is willing to sign a 2 year deal then we can make that work! He is in fact the 7th Heavyweight picked in the draft and I can see why he wants to prove he should have been picked 1st!

With that said we are spending PR money on guys who have a long term commitment with our franchise and a 2 year does not warrant such a commitment for PR so here our the terms we are hoping you all will consider...

2 Years 5 Million per year with 500k for PR

Yes it is a step down from the 6 million but as your client has said himself he wants to earn his money so in 2 years if he is as good as he claims and will sign a 5 year contract we will be inclined to offer as much as 8 million per year.

Does this sounds fair?

We'll take that deal.  And mark my words, when we're signing his next contract, the figure will be MUCH higher than $8 million!

Hahaha... Well mark my words if you are correct then we will be paying it. I will send the paperwork in...

Bobby.... Can you get Eric McCarthy on the line for me with regards to Cassidy Ray...

Mr. McCarthy, I have heard nothing but good things about your client Cassidy Ray. In my opinion she is the top prospect in the draft this year in the women's division and we would like to sign her to a 4 year deal... What kind of price tag are we looking at for a deal of that length?

I'm glad to hear that you feel that way about Cassidy.  Since she is, in your words, "the top prospect" in the woman's division, you should have no trouble compensating her with more than Krystal's deal from the Devils, right?

Title: Re: The Shark Tank (Chicago)
Post by: Midas on March 18, 2015, 11:31:10 PM
That should not be a problem as long as she is willing to sign a 5 year deal like Krystal...

How about a 5 year 6 Million Dollar deal with 500k for PR...

I mean hell we are a big city like LA so we need to market her to a big city!

I really love that you are a family man and I am seeing a real bright future for all of us.

Basically we here at the Shark Tank believe are future is with you and Doug Manning as a one two punch with the main event and semi-main event!

Does that sounds like something you would be interested in?

That is fantastic to hear... I will keep you appraised to the situation here and give my best to the family...

Bobby... I am completely absent minded today and I went from my conversation with Mr. Morse right to conversing with Mr. McCarthy then to Duke and completely forgot that we placed Mr. Lancaster on hold. This is not your fault Bobby but do me a favor and next time just stop me and give me a friendly reminder about this.

If Mr. Lancaster is still on hold please patch him in but before you do that can you please find out how much it would cost us to send Mr. Lancaster a box of Cuban Cigars for our oversight... Also find out if this in some way violates the rules of the TCW before we actually do anything.  Make sure you have this information to me before patching him in, I know he has been waiting a long time if he is still waiting but maybe it will soften his stance if he knows some nice cubans are on the way.

Also Bobby when this is all done choose a place where you want to eat lunch... You have been busting your ass today for me and since we are pretty much done after Mr. Lancaster until we draft another person we should do lunch. You deserve it for your hard work!

As soon as the midget out there told me that you wanted me to hold, I hung up.  NOBODY puts me on hold, let's get that straight right from the get go.  We understand each other?  Good.

Now, I assume that this meeting is about my client Jacob Stance.  As I've told everyone, Jacob is the hottest free agent on the market today.  We are listening to each and every interested party.  So, go ahead and pitch to me why Chicago is the place for Jacob.  Then, privately message me your contract offer.  Once all offers and pitches are in, we will make a decision.

Title: Re: The Shark Tank (Chicago)

Mr. Lancaster you are correct and we are understood... It was highly inappropriate of me to ask for someone who is as busy as you to hold. I assure you that this will never happen again!

I appreciate you giving me a second opportunity and I will simply cut to the chase... Chicago is the SECOND largest market in TCW and we have the largest arena and in my opinion that greatest fan base in the nation...Mind you I am bias as I am Chicago born and raised...

At this point right now we here at the Shark Tank are looking to build around the Super Heavyweight and Heavyweight Division and we feel Jacob Stance will fit in perfectly with the vision we have. It is unfortunate that he could not come to terms with Miami and while we do not offer beautiful weather all year here in Chicago we offer a future in a great market... I will have Bobby fax over the offer sheet and hopefully it is sufficient enough to get him here...

Thank you for your time and I apologize once again for my actions earlier sir!

Bobby can you get Eric McCarthy on the phone so we can discuss a deal for Delbert Larson....

Mr. McCarthy... I drafted Delbert to work with Bull Bradford in what we will consider to be one of the most dominating tag teams in the league...

We have heard rumblings about his desire to sign with his girlfriend Sarah Devine but at times rumors are just that, is there any truth to these rumors?

If you had scouted my client, then you would already know that he and his girlfriend Sarah Divine will not accept being on separate teams.  We will sign here, only with your guarantee that you'll either trade for Sarah, or trade Delbert to Sarah's club.

I understand and I knew had the rumors turned out to be true that I would have taken a gamble on him but none the less we felt that we could work something out. I have been in communication with the other GM and he has assured me that we would be able to come to an agreement to assure that both of you are on the same team...

If you client is fearful of this then we will gladly discuss a 1 year deal instead of the long term deal I had in mind.

He'll sign for 2 years, just like Sarah did.  That way, when their contracts are up, they can be free agents at the same time, avoiding this hassle.  Remember though, if she isn't traded here, or he isn't traded there, you'll be left with a giant hole in your roster where Delbert used to be.

Now that we have that out of the way, lets talk cash.  What's the offer?

You're getting closer.  $4 million, and we're there.

Title: Re: The Shark Tank (Chicago)
Post by: Midas on March 22, 2015, 10:51:00 AM
4 Million.... That is definitely not out of question but as much as people do not want to admit it drafting position means a lot in this league and 6th round money to us is 3 million. However this is business and if you are not compromising in a business like this then bad things will follow.

Like I said before my goal is to sign your client and reunite him with his girlfriend so they can wrestle under one banner and as soon as we lock this is I will get started on that. I do not want him feeling uncomfortable in any way regardless if it is his deal or his girlfriend not being with him...

But I have to think of the best interest of the club as a whole and I was hoping that we could meet in the middle to get this deal done. 2 Years 3.5 Million...

I like to sign my talent to longer term deals but I believe what he is doing is smart so he and Sarah can be free agents at the same time.... 4 Million would be a no brainer for me with a 3 year deal as we like to lock people in for longer terms but I understand his desire...

So can we meet in the middle and close this deal at 3.5 million?

I do not know anything about your client Jerzey... I will admit that it my error not scouting him beforehand but we had to limit our resources for pre-draft scouting. I made an offer to your client for 1 year to team with Larry Levi with hopes that he can impress and earn a long term contract... I do not believe a a late draft pick deserves a signing bonus but would be willing to bump it up to 3.5 million for one year with hopes he knocks our socks off and we can commit to a long term deal.

Fantastic...

Now about your client Whitney Cobalt... With respect to you and your client, we here at the Shark Tank have Cassidy Ray on our roster and have limited knowledge of Whitney. If your client was signed here it would be as part of our sparring squad and the contract offer would be low.

Due to our limited knowledge of her and are belief that you are a busy man who does not like to waste time we wanted to explain this all to you beforehand so that there is no confusion with regards to our intentions...

If this is something Whitney is not interested in then we will revoke our rights to her and allow her to become a free agent.

Are you happy to be here in Chicago? Do you have any questions or concerns for us?

Terrific... You are the cornerstone of our women's division and as you know we signed Whitney Cobalt to a one year deal as part of the trade with Denver...  I want to assure you that we are determined to make you a household name here in Chicago and her being on our roster is in part to make us all better. Have a good one and enjoy Chicago...

Bobby lets keep this going and talk to Bull Bradford about what we plan on doing with him...

Bull first and foremost let me ask about your personal bus. I hope it turned out the way you wanted...

We have a binding contract and Duke cannot sign with another club as long as he is under contract with the Shark Tank...

However.... If you want to renegotiate then lets overhaul the entire contract... If we choose to renegotiate we are talking about Duke returning the 500k signing bonus and the PR being cut in half along with the duration of the contract... So the new offer would be...

2 Years 9.5 Million with 1 Million for PR.

Emilio thinks.....YOU'RE NOT TOO BRIGHT BABAY!!  The market has adjusted UP DADDIO!!!  Numbers should not be going down.  Especially his signing bonus, which is very important to him, if you remember.

2 years, $9.5 million, $2 million PR, $1 million signing bonus.  THAT'S THE DEAL BOSSMAN!!!!

Emilio I will not pay for the mistakes of someone else so my offer is the final offer I will make...

So this discussion is done then... Let us here in Chicago know exactly what you are choosing to do an if you decide to take our last contract offer please inform us ASAP!

We need to talk about Doug's contract Chief.  We need $8 million and $1 million of PR.  Let's get this done.

Title: Re: The Shark Tank (Chicago)
Post by: Midas on March 28, 2015, 12:13:38 PM
I heard rumors that my first and second round draft pick would be coming back to me for renegotiation and sure enough here we are...

I am sure you have heard about Duke and probably are under the assumption that these talks will not go well but truth is Duke and Doug are two different type of guys...

When we first talked I offered a multi-year deal or a higher amount but we settled on Doug proving himself for a higher contract in 2 years... I believe I said 8 million in 2 years and you said I would be paying more... Well 2 years have not passed but it appears the 8 million number is here...

I tell you what... The reason we could not come up with a higher number in the first place was years so how about this contract offer...

4 Years 8.5 Million with 1.5 Million in PR and I will even toss in a 500k signing bonus since we are talking more years...

I met Doug and I basically know he has a bright future and I don't need to be convinced he is great... I spoke to him and am excited about learning all the ways he can hit his swinging neck breaker...

Do we have a deal?

This is a tough one.  On the one hand, Doug still is very interested in a short term deal, because he is confident in his abilities to move up the ranks quickly.  On the other, you've shown faith in him, and have even outdone the contract that I asked for.

You've compromised for us, so I'll compromise for you.  We'll do the deal that your proposed, but for 3 years.  Doug is firm that he will not sign for any more than that right now.

Now regarding Gerry Nichols....I HIGHLY doubt that you could offer me anything that would tempt me to let such a talent go.  But, I am a businessman first and foremost, no matter how much I dislike the TCW and it's people.  So, let's hear your offer.  What will you give me, that will entice me enough to let Gerry go?

Post by: Midas on March 29, 2015, 02:36:01 AM
James.... I am sorry I was not saying okay as if that is the end of our conversation... I guess I was kind of speaking out loud trying to figure out what I can offer you that would change your mind...

Basically you are justly frustrated that no one called you or looked at you to be a head trainer and there is no words that can explain why each club president did this...

But I can tell you right now that at this point I am if nothing I am a man who can see the writing on the wall...

I want Gerry and I want to make the Shark Tank the best club in the league...  You want to show everyone in TCW that they messed up then join us as our head trainer... Dexter Freeman is our current head trainer but we will pay out his contract and sign you to a 3 year deal...

The highest Head Trainer in the league is getting 5 million so let's give you 7.5 million per year... No head trainer has any money ear marked for PR so I will set aside 500k to show Chicago that you are the trainer of the future and I will offer you a 250k signing bonus to join our club and bring Gerry Nichols to the negotiation table so we can sign him here...

Show everyone that they made a huge mistaken by beating them each week with the best talent available...

JAMES HOLLIS STOPS BEFORE HE REACHES THE DOOR, AND TURNS TO LISTEN TO PRESIDENT MIDAS

Son, I like you.  You seem to be a good kid.  Had you come to me with an offer half as good as that to begin with, we wouldn't be here.  But, we are here, and we have to deal in realities.  At this time, I am happy with my position as the head of the Continental Wrestling Association, so I'm going to politely decline that offer.

Now, regarding the current situation we find ourselves in.  Here's the way I see it.  You tried some hard ball negotiation tactics with Duke and they failed, leading him to me.  In trying to dig yourself out of one hole, you don't see that you'll be digging an entirely new hole.  Gerry is probably one of my best hands, along with Onyx.  In order to let one of them go, I'll need....at the bare minimum mind you.....2 guys from you, plus some cash.  And that is just to get Gerry to the table with you, you'd still need to sign him.  If that is an avenue that you'd like to go down, we can sure talk about it.  That Doug Manning kid interests me quite a bit, and I'm sure I can find someone else that I like.....

But, if that doesn't sit well with you, here are a couple of other options.  I've got a roster of guys that aren't quite as good as Gerry or Onyx, but that doesn't mean their bums either.  Their prices will likely be more palatable to you.  I'm sure you've seen the Dirt Sheets, and know who they are.

If THAT doesn't work for ya.....well, like I said earlier, I like you son.  So I'll cut you a break.  Give me $1 million dollars, and I promise to get Duke and his representation in a room with you, and you guys can hash things out.  If you give him a contract that satisfies him and rejoins your squad, then more power to ya sonny.

What do you think Midas?  Any of these options appealing to you?

Title: Re: The Shark Tank (Chicago)
Post by: Midas on April 04, 2015, 12:00:20 AM
James I appreciate you considering the offer and I understand your stance and apologize once again for overlooking you in the past...

I would like to explore the first option you gave me... Basically I have no issue paying for Gerry and while I believe the price of getting him should be steep and we here in Chicago are ready to pay for him...

Is there any possible way we can do something like this:

Doug Manning
Bobby Stevens
Whitney Cobalt
plus 500k cash

for the rights to speak to Gerry Nichols & the Canuck...

I am not trying to stun you by adding the Canuck but with us parting with Mr. Stevens we would like to replace him in our Lightweight division.

I added a third person to the list in order not to insult you with asking for the rights to Canuck also!

Sounds like you're offering a hot bag of garbage to be honest.  Here's what I'd consider.

Manning/Estrada/Levi/$1 million
for
The rights to negotiate with Gerry Nichols and your choice of either Sam Yates or Jose Alvarez

I apologize if it came across that way as I did not mean any offense... I have no problem with those terms as long as you include the rights to both Yates and Alvarez....

The season is drawing near and I want to get all of these men at the table ASAP and get them signed... Is this deal possible?

I like you son, but don't let that lull you into a false sense of security.  You're pushing the envelope, and I'm starting to get annoyed.  Here are my FINAL offers.  Take one or don't, but don't come back with another proposal.

Manning/Estrada/Levi/$1 million
for
The rights to negotiate with Gerry Nichols and EITHER Sam Yates OR Jose Alvarez

or

Manning/Estrada/Levi/$1 million
for
The rights to negotiate with Yates/Alvarez/Judas

Your call slick.  What's it gonna be?

Title: Re: The Shark Tank (Chicago)
Post by: Midas on April 06, 2015, 07:27:36 PM
I am confused James... We have only been talking for a moment and I know it feels like a week but I can't explain that. When we first started discussing this you gave me 3 options and I told you that I was going to see if we can work on a deal involving Manning and if not then we could go with your second option.

You asked me to make a offer and I did and you became insulted and countered with a offer that I countered and then you came back with the same offer and basically told me to take it or leave it. You seem to be acting like the agents in TCW, you ask me to make a offer then act insulted when I do and then take a stance without budging.

This is why I did not sign Duke! I thought negotiations were suppose to be a discussion between two parties which leads to a compromise... I see now that you have a offer in your head and will not budge and without the deal involving the rights to those 3 I cannot budge so it appears option one is off the table...

Are you willing to move to option two as you suggested or are you so annoyed with me that you wish to leave and end this discussion? I personally would like to continue talking but I am hear to negotiate and work something out not to be bullied as if I have no options. So it is up to you James and if you wish to leave then I understand and wish you the best.

Here's why I'm frustrated.  We're talking about what I've clearly told you is my top guy.  My TOP guy.  You don't have any equitable person to trade for him, so what I'm losing out on in quality, I need to make up for in quantity.  Yet you seem to try and pull the wool over my eyes and get me to make a 3 for 3 trade where I'm basically taking it up the ole backside.  If you want Nichols, I've told you what I'm willing to do.

You mentioned wanting both Yates and Alvarez.  I can't let those two go with Gerry, I'd basically need your whole roster to make that deal. If you want Yates AND Alvarez, then I've given you the deal I'm comfortable with.

If you want to talk about other people, then I'm open to listening.  But I'm not gonna be fleeced.

Title: Re: The Shark Tank (Chicago)
Post by: Midas on April 06, 2015, 11:23:12 PM
I appreciate what you are saying... I am not trying to pull the wool over your eyes or be anything but honest... I made a offer that appeared to be garbage and has set a bad tone since then...

You are a busy man James so I do not want to keep you here for to long and I don't want to ruin any working relationship we may have in the future by making bad blood now...

I understand what you are saying about Yates and Alvarez and since I do not have scouting reports on either of them I simply have little info to go on but I trust your word that they are that good... I would like the rights to talk to Nichols and Yates and if you could possibly add a third person to the deal of your choosing who is not a female then the deal is done and we are finished talking. If you do not feel comfortable doing this then no hard feelings we can part ways on good terms and I will look into other avenues to fill my roster.

Pleasure doing business with you...

Bobby can you get Daniel Morse on the phone...

Daniel I am sure you have heard about the market changing and as I sign new people and make different deal I basically have come to the conclusion that while this might not make sense to anyone else I basically want to change Bulls deal...

He is currently getting 3.5 million per year and based on how we want to use him I feel that he is getting paid for to little...

I would like to add 2 million to his deal person year...

That would change it to 3 years 5.5 million per year with the rest of the terms remaining the same... I just want to make sure Bull remains happy here in Chicago!

Bobby while we wait for the scouting reports can you do me a favor and tell me how our fiances are... Duke walked out on our contract and went to the CWA which leads me to believe we are off the hook for his money...

I have us at 6 Million left for Salary, 2 Million left for PR and 1 Million left in incentive... If this is accurate then perfect, if not can you please find out exactly why this is not accurate.

Here's what I have sir:

Arena near Soldier Field - $8 million (Incentives)
Scouting Reports - $9 million (PR)
Additional Scouting - $1.5 million (PR)
Cash Payment to CWA - $1 million (Incentives)

Dexter Freeman - $3 million (Salary)
Chaos - $2 million (Salary)
Malinda Redford - $1.5 million (Salary)

Cassidy Ray - $6 million (Salary) and $500K (PR)
Bull Bradford - $5.5 million (Salary), $500K (PR) and $500K Signing Bonus (Incentive)
Bobby Stevens - $3 million (Salary)
Whitney Cobalt - $2 million (Salary)
Gerry Nichols - $16.5 million (Salary) and $4.5 million (PR)
John Chau - $4.5 million (Salary)
Sam Yates - $9 million (Salary) and $2 million (PR)

That gives us totals of:

$53 million of salary ($7 million left, with 1 open roster spot)
$18 million of PR ($2 million left)
$9.5 million ($500K left)

Title: Re: The Shark Tank (Chicago)
Post by: Midas on April 07, 2015, 08:48:19 PM
Thanks Bobby... However keep in mind we signed John Chau to a 5.5 Million dollar salary so we have 6 million left to sign our last wrestler...

Also we did get that 500k from PFC for Delbert which will be on our books leaving us with 1 million left in our Incentive budget...

Thanks Bobby I just wanted to make sure we were all on the same page, better to be safe then sorry...

You're correct sir. The former was a mathematical error, the latter was an oversight. The correct figures are:

Arena near Soldier Field - $8 million (Incentives)
Scouting Reports - $9 million (PR)
Additional Scouting - $1.5 million (PR)
Cash Payment to CWA - $1 million (Incentives)
Cash Payment FROM The PFC - +$500K (Incentives)

Dexter Freeman - $3 million (Salary)
Chaos - $2 million (Salary)
Malinda Redford - $1.5 million (Salary)

Cassidy Ray - $6 million (Salary) and $500K (PR)
Bull Bradford - $5.5 million (Salary), $500K (PR) and $500K Signing Bonus (Incentive)
Bobby Stevens - $3 million (Salary)
Whitney Cobalt - $2 million (Salary)
Gerry Nichols - $16.5 million (Salary) and $4.5 million (PR)
John Chau - $5.5 million (Salary)
Sam Yates - $9 million (Salary) and $2 million (PR)

That gives us totals of:

$54 million of salary ($6 million left, with 1 open roster spot)
$18 million of PR ($2 million left)
$9 million ($1 million left)

Jerzey I did scouting on two wrestlers who went undrafted in order to fill our last roster spot... Your client Ty was one of them and while we are considering other options we are interested in seeing if Ty is interested in coming to Chicago to team with John Chau?

We are looking to sign him to a 3 year 4 Million dollar deal.... Is that something you all could work with?

Bobby... Can you call Jerry Hunt back please...

Jerry, 5.5 Million bring me a little to close to my budget limit for my liking and all we would need is one error and we could be over...

I want to make Wallace happy for sure so what would you say to 3 years 4.5 Million with 500k in PR and a 500k signing bonus. I hear Bull had a custom made bus for his travels so maybe he could take the signing bonus and use it for that or whatever of course.

Is something your client could agree to?

Main Event - Gerry Nichols
Semi-Main Event - Sam Yates
Tag Team #1 - Bull Bradford
Tag Team #2 - Wallace Caldwell
Opener - John Chau
Women - Cassidy Ray
Bench - Bobby Stevens
Sparring - Whitney Cobalt

Captain - Gerry Nichols

PR Campaigns

Gerry Nichols - 4.5 Million

As the face of the Shark Tank we need to basically make sure everyone in Chicago knows who Gerry Nichols is...  Here is what we are going to do:

*Set up interviews with all the locals news stations and their sports casters to interview Gerry prior to our first show.

*Create a video package highlighting all of Gerrys career accomplishments and moves. It will end on a shot of Gerry standing in the ring triumphed with the name

*The Chicago Blues festival is the largest Jazz festival in the world and most older fans love technical wrestlers so they would be delighted to meet Gerry. We will set up a small wrestling clinic with Bobby Stevens and Whitney Colbalt helping on Gerry. Kids and adults can participate and receive autographs.

*We will create 100 unique t-shirts to be handed out to fans at the festival.

*We will be creating 500 Gerry Nichols Action figures to hand out to the first 500 fans who attend the first event.

* We are going to be setting up billboards in some of the most heavily traveled intersections in the city featuring Gerry and the Shark Tank and TCW logo.

Sam Yates - 2 Million

* We have a deal going on with Six Flags Great America that anyone who comes to the park on a select day with a ticket stub for a Shark Tank event will get half price. Sam Yates will be there on that select date signing autographs and interacting with the fans.

* We will be creating a video package for Sam Yates that will be played on local stations advertising the Shark Tank and TCW.

*The Shark Tank will be setting up a booth at the Chicago Marathon with the focus being Sam Yates. Any child 13 and older with a parent or family member in the race will get a free t-shirt and photo.

* 500 Sam Yates bobble heads will be handed out at US Cellular Field during the cross town rivalry game with Sam appearing before the game for batting practice with the team.

Bull Bradford - 500k

*We are making a large donation to "Charitabulls" and in return they have invited Bull to show up during the half time show of their first round playoff game to play a game with a select few children from the audience. They will attempt to get a shot in a miniature basket over Bull.

* 100 shirts with the tagline "Raging Bull Bradford" and the Shark Tank and TCW logo will be produced and shot out of a cannon for the fans at the Summer Bash!

* We are setting up a booth at the B96 Summer Bash where Bull & Cassidy will be signing autographs before the show.

* This is the most costly part off our PR campaign for Bull, during the Air & Water show this year at Lake Michigan we will have a large banner hanging from the side of Willis Tower (Sears Tower) with the tag line "The newest Skyscraper in Chicago" and a picture of Bull looking like a giant in the sky. It will be right next to the one of Bull and solidify their tag team!

Wallace Caldwell - 500k

*We are setting up a booth at the Taste of Chicago featuring Wallace who will sign autographs and meet fans. We will have a eating contest with 9 fans trying to out eat the big man.

* 100 shirts with the tagline "Wallace "The Beast" Caldwell and the Shark Tank and TCW logo will be produced and given out to random fans at his booth at the taste!

* This is the most costly part off our PR campaign for Wallace, during the Air & Water show this year at Lake Michigan we will have a large banner hanging from the side of Willis Tower (Sears Tower) with the tag line "The newest beast in Chicago" and a picture of Wallace looking like a giant in the sky. It will be right next to the one of Bull and solidify their tag team!

Cassidy Ray - 500k

*We are making a large donation to "Cubs Care" and in return they have invited Cassidy to sing "Take me out to the ball game" during 7th inning stretch on the July 10th game at Wrigley against the White Sox. It is the cross town rivalry and should attract both North Siders and south siders to her brand.

* We are setting up a booth at the B96 Summer Bash where Cassidy and Bull will be signing autographs before the show.

* 200 Tank Tops are being made with "Sweet" Cassidy Ray written on the front and the Shark Tank logo on the back along with the TCW logo. These shirts will shot from the cannon to the fans at the Summer Bash!

* We are going to produce a ads to be placed at CTA Bus stops on Michigan avenue showing off Cassidy's beauty in a bikini with the tag line that reads "Sweet Cassidy Ray" then below that it will read "The first lady of the TANK" and of course our logo.

Send Bobby Stevens for Technical Skills
Send John Chau for Charisma
Send Sam Yates for Brawling

The team is back from training camp.  Here's a few notes for you:

~ Wallace Caldwell was offended by his PR campaign.  He knows that he is a huge man, so he felt that the "eating contest" was a rib on him.
~ Gerry Nichols looked great, and is very happy to be involved with a team that moved heaven and earth to get him.
~ Some on the team are jealous of Bull's touring bus.  Bull took it in stride, and invited his teammates to ride with him whenever they wanted.
~ John Chau tweaked his back.  Dr. Redford apparently thought that a trip to the mall would help.  It didn't.

The trainers are putting together the team sheet for you.  Once I get it to you, you'll be expected to put out a press release before speaking to your Head Trainer.

You know Jeremy, I wish I could say that I'm a simple man that enjoys the simple things in life, but truth is I'm the kind a guy that looks look for perfection, I'm the kind of guy that wants the best out of everything I put my mind into. I don't settle for second best, and I don't plan to be a guy that gives you a half assed effort. I buy cars that most people consider rust buckets and turn them into rolling works of art. I'm the man that turns something out of nothing, the man that intends to make sure you're always happy by making sure this is a winning team you can enjoy watching every week.

On it, boss.

Bobby, let's get the coaches in here real quick.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Coaches, I'm Domingo, the new president of this club. I looked over the team sheets and I have to say that I like what we have assembled here for the most part, but Im not too sold on the pairing of Bull and Wallace. How has Wallace looked in this new role, is he struggling with the role or will he get more acclimated as time goes on?

Wassup Domingo! Wallace is new to tag team wrestling, so there's a learning curve there. That said, I think Bull's the weak link in the team, not Wallace.

I agree with you on that, Coach. I just want to make sure we're getting the best at every position and I don't want Wallace to lose confidence in himself trying to carry the team when he's still learning the ins and outs of the role. It being the first week, I'm not looking to shake things up right out the gate, but I do want to monitor the situation.

Anything you got for me, or should we go ahead and lock in for the week?

Ray Continues to Roll
It's pleasing for me as the new President here to see that we've got a star in the making. Cassidy has been superb... She is a real star and to see that she has the grit and determination to continue despite a knee hurting her somewhat, it puts a big old smile on my face. Not only did she battle through the pain, but she won. What more can I say? I'm delighted for her.

Tank vs Rebels
Honestly it was disappointing. I look at our team and my instincts tell me we are stronger than the Rebels. But this is probably due to the transition the Shark Tank are currently in. We've gone a few weeks where management has not been as steady as it liked but that will change now. I will be looking for a few to step up and show more than they have recently. They know who they are, they know what is expected of them.

Devils vs Tank
We have the Devils this week and it will be a test but I feel that in some departments we more than match them, we surpass them. They have to be considered one of the strongest teams in the TCW but I don't care about teams who are supposedly great. It doesn't interest me in what you, the media, have to say about who should be winning and who should be losing because at the end of the day, it comes down to who's got the biggest set in the squared circle and right now... I've got frickin' grapefruit.

Mike Haller
Honestly the kid has talent but it interested me. I don't know what Pancho is like in his man-management but I see this as a difficult situation. He can't let it slide because he will damage the integrity of his staff and the relationship will be severed, but he can't be too harsh on Haller because he runs the risk of alienating the lad. From my perspective, I love it. I hope it implodes big time.

Trainers, nice to meet you. I'm sure you know who I am, so I will cut to the chase... Why is Sam Yates not performing in the ring?

Wassup Robbie Roo!  The first two weeks he was just straight up beat, but this past week he looked a lot better.  The thing is, him and Cage was brawlin' on the floor, and Cage slipped back into the ring in the nick of time, and Sam just didn't make it.  Had the decision happened in the ring, I think he mighta pulled it out.

Firstly, I want to say how disappointed I am in the administration of this league in letting blatant cheating happen in front of everyone's eyes. It's no secret I have had run ins with management in the past but for this I am seething. Gerry had virtually won the match up until that point. I can assure you all that this is the end of The Shark Tank playing nice.

The results went against us this week and it's something we have to look at changing ourselves. We have the ability within this team to be winning more matches, however having a winning mentality is something which sometimes is just as important. This week I am going to try and instil that mentality. The guys need to know that I'm not a manager that is going to go elsewhere or bail out on them like the others have. They need consistency and something to build upon.

Next time, we face the Militia. They supposedly have a strong undercard and to counteract that, we have to lead with our stronger uppercard. We have the talent to beat them, without a doubt. We just need to have that confidence and self-belief. Once that main event comes around, I think we'll see a different result to last week as Gerry will want to avenge that loss in the cruellest and most pain-inflicting way possible.

I thank you.

Gerry, the pleasure is all mine.

Thanks for coming to see me, I know you want to talk about what happened last week. I'm as disappointed in the company as you are for their apparent ignorance of the rules. However, I wanted to let you know... If you felt you were ever in a position that you could benefit from a slight bending of the rules then by all means go for it. If you see the referee is down, make use of a pair of hidden brass knuckles, use your knee brace as a weapon, take the padding off the turnbuckle.

But I have to reiterate, only when the referee is not looking. We cannot get caught doing this.

Mr Powers. Regarding the result of our main event last week, there was a blatant show of cheating and as the governing body of this organisation, I believe you should overturn the result of that particular match.

Mr. Hollands, I understand your frustration.  However, the TCW governing body has set up the league so that the referee's have the final say in all matches that they officiate.  That is to say, the referee's decision is always final.  We do not have instant replay, nor do we have the ability to overturn a referee's decision after the fact.

I am sympathetic to your plight though.  I have personally seen several instances of rule breaking, interference, and other under handed tactics being used to gain an advantage.  I will personally begin the search for someone to oversee the training of all TCW officials.  Hopefully, this measure will be enough to tighten up the sportsmanship between the ropes.

Mr. Hawthorne allow me to introduce myself.

The name is C.J. Gates and if you're looking for someone to bring a little competitive entertainment and stability to the team, then I am your man. Some people might not have the heart to stick with something, but that's not how I operate. Even if things go south, I stick with it and try my best to turn things around and put the best product I can in the ring for every match. Obviously the idea is for things to stay positive, but you get what I'm saying. While I can't say I know 100% about the goings on in and around this club, I can say that I will do my best to keep things rolling and bring entertainment to you and everyone who watches for the Shark Tank.

Tell me, what's your opinion on using a midget as a tee ball stand? Also, what's you're favorite drink?

I wouldn't be against it. The way I see it, if you're good at hitting a ball off a tee, then you won't harm the midget. If you aren't any good, then you hurt the midget. It's like a win-win, isn't it?

As for my favorite drink, I do enjoy myself a nice cold beer when I get the chance. Any type of beer. Nothing fancy for me if I'm being honest.

Haha!  I like you Mr. Gates!

Let me ask you one more question.  Can I expect you to stick with this club, and not bail out like the last 2 guys?  I know it's a might unsettling to have Bobby around, but you get used to him.  I swear!

Bobby doesn't bother me too much. Give me some place to rest my cold beer.

As for sticking around, I feel like the two men before me were just keeping my seat warm. I've been wanting to get involved in this competition for awhile now, I was just waiting for the right opportunity. Now that it has come along, I'm not about to bail out on it.

Excellent. Thank you for giving me this opportunity, Mr. Hawthorne. I will get right to work trying to figure out what my predecessors have left me to work with. If my notes are right, it won't be an easy trek, but I will try and make the best of it!

----------

Bobby, could you get me in touch with the head trainer? If my notes are still up to date that should be Dexter Freeman. Thanks.

---------

Mr. Freeman, how are you today? I don't know if you've heard or not, but I'm the new President of the Shark Tank, Mr. C.J. Gates. Now, I know I'm coming in a bit later then most, but I was wondering if you could give me the lay of the land so to speak. Things I need to be aware of now that I'm here.

You the new guy in charge?  You plannin' on unpackin' your bags, or are you gonna scoot just as fast as the other 2 jackholes?

Anyways, the jewels of this team are Nichols and Ray.  Plain and simple.  Yates is good, but has lost a bunch so far.  Caldwell and Bradford are average, if that.  Chau and Stevens can hit the bricks as far as I'm concerned.

I've already started unpacking my bags. I plan to be here for the long haul.

Well, we will have to make the best of what the past presidents have dealt us but it's good to know we have a few gems in this bunch. From the notes I have, there's not many moves we can really make to the team as a whole, but I thought I'd still get your thoughts on that. In your opinion, is our most recent line up the best bet?

Yeah, that's probably the best we got.  You could swap out Chau and Stevens if you want, they're pretty equal.

I will see. going to have to keep my eyes out on any possibilities to improve our team. Anything else for you might want to talk about regarding the squad?
