Woman Dies After Falling From Roller Coaster

ARLINGTON, TX (KTRK) -- Authorities say a woman has fallen to her death from a roller coaster ride Six Flags Over Texas.


The accident happened at the Texas Giant roller coaster.

Six Flags Over Texas spokesperson Sharon Parker said paramedics responded immediately to the scene but it was too late.

"Since the safety of our guests and employees is our number one priority, the ride has been closed pending further investigation," Parker said in a prepared statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends during this difficult time."

The victim's identity has not yet been released.
