Hasbro has had a lot of success with their "Transformers" toys after teaming for the film trilogy with Paramount Pictures. The company attempted to replicate the results with Universal Pictures and their "Battleship" property, but the movie turned out to be a flop. Soon after Universal decided not to proceed with any more Hasbro movies.

Hasbro has now announced that it has signed a deal with Emmet/Furla to finance and co-produce three movies in the next two years, including "Monopoly," "Action Man" and "Hungry Hungry Hippos."

"Monopoly" will be the first movie to go into production. The plan is to begin filming in 2013. Ridley Scott(Prometheus) was previously on board to direct, but now he's only producing. "Hungry Hungry Hippos" is being planned as an animated film.

Crazy Kyd

I've known about Monopoly for years. Hungry Hungry Hippos is pretty funny too.

Also, there might be a Candy Land movie that is basically lord of the rings with candy. But after a quick google search Adam Sandler is supposed to star in it, if the project goes through.
